Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018)
Oh, the writers laziness...
The Maze Runner Saga is, all things considered, really weak. It had the potential to be great, but failed miserably to give reasonable explanations to simple questions like why, how and, when it tried to do it, it made no sense. Too many times movies seems disjointed, like Frankenstein creations of sequences stitched together even if don't really fit. At least to me, it's becoming more and more obvious the writers have some quotas to delivers certain types of scenes, to the point where is no longer relevant how the action got to a certain point and what is needed to progress to the next one. All in all, I'll say the greed and laziness replaced creativity and hard work.
Sicak Kafa (2022)
Overrated gibberish
The movie has a good, solid foundation. Sadly, that's all that it has, everything else is absolute gibberish. The pace is very slow, not much is happening and when it does... seldom makes any sense at all. With one exception, characters are unidimensional and everything seems so generic - generic power hungry bad guys, generic idealist freedom figthers, generic quest to find a cure for the disease.
First series feels like an oversized introductory part.
Not sure who took this decision, but by choosing to dilute everything, it wasted the opportunity to tell an interesting story - not always more is better.
The Monuments Men (2014)
Pretentios nothingburger
Well, I feel no need to beat it around the bushes, so I'll just say it - what a disappointing nothingburger... So many known actors gathered for... what? I'm way past the middle of this movie and the situation is as follows: I don't care for any of the characters nor do I have any idea how are they supposed to protect or recover various art pieces, what struggles did they had to overcome. Two from the initial team are dead by now, but that didn't even felt like a bump in the road, everything just trod along with the same boring pace. I think it's safe to say those guys in Holywood are sniffing too much of their own... arts, let's call it like that.
Året jag slutade prestera och började onanera (2022)
Pointless and nonsensical
This movie script must have been written by some of the laziest... something, anything... but not writers. Besides the usual feminism BS that is flooding the screen nowadays (with the usual bumbling idiots, aka man) there is so very little that makes any sense in this movie. There's no structure, no actual progress, just feelings and life changing advices received by what a seems a successful women from another one she accidentally met, some extremely reliable person that is passing thru life hopping from meaningless job to another (bar keeper, dogs walker, some sort of a fitness instructor and the sort).
