Maron (2013)
Mediocre
I watched the whole season 1 and 2! There are rare moments that are really good, but the rest of the show look like it has been poorly adopted from a first draft of an amature's notebook!
Characters are mostly flat, stories sound anything but natural, dialogues do not sound geniune and funny (at all)!! They look like they've been squeezed out of frustration; no ironing; no revision, no polishing!
Maron is at best a side role that should appear 5 min per episode! Too much for a main role! Too negative in an unphilosophically sensible manner! Even clinically not explainable, and socially he does not make sense! There is lack of consistency in his temper, mood and affect! An inconsistency that does not go with his extremely portraited nihilism! Too neat for such a character, and emotionally too strong for such a pathetic character! Not good if I have to sum up!
Talk to Me (2022)
Relevant and different!
The story is about a bunch of young folks getting together and playing a game. In this game they hold a small creepy sculpture of a hand and say " talk to me", what happens when they do that is they see a dead person, then they say "I let you in"... etc.!
They are extremely excited about a crazy experience, but then things go wrong for one of them and it turns into a disaster!
The reason I love it is because it's relevant. The hands could be the symbol of recreational drugs, and the rest are the consequences of these activities. In addition, all the events occur in their head! No one else is going through those terrible, scary scenes. Another pertinent point is that when someone is hooked, and ultimately screwed by unhealthy activity, only they suffer and people close to them.
All the scenes are shot from the best angles, with wonderful illumination and elegant decor. All actors play great, especially the main actors!
Interestingly enough, I gave up horror films because of their empty and unfounded history and so on! But this one looks pretty good. Watch it 😎
Oppenheimer (2023)
Fall of Nolan
The story begins by introducing us to the main character, which I liked. It then excites us about a historic project: how it shaped. But soon viewer may notice things are happening fast & quick; Germany surrounded, atom is splittd..."What is happening" a veiwer might ask? "The movie is 3 hrs long, why is there so much hurry!" They almost fast forward to tell you how USA gov screwed Oppenheimer. 3 hour movie and one of the biggest crime of humanity is made about a womenizer, narcissist and psycho who thought of a bomb 3 sec after he heard atom's been splitted.
Furthermore, Nolan's movies are known to have different timelines, a movie like memento or inception needed that style to serve the story's depth and dimensions, but this one was an biography there was no need for such style, unless Nolan used it just as a signature. Also, such movies that are about the least important matter in an event where 200k people died, can only be a documentary, not a Nolan movie, I am so disappointed. Not the best use of resources.
Lastly, come on, abondan the idea of a 3-hour movie already! Movies should never go over 100 minutes...or a rest interval in theatre should become mandatory.
Nope (2022)
Cliche
MY reaction throughout the film; Boring. Boring. WAIT....cliche...wtf?? Boring...is that it?..I want my time back. It is anothet Masterpiece of our boring cinematographic era....for the first 65 mins, no one know wth happend, then you know but you hope that is not all of it, but it is. Nope, hmm.
CODA (2021)
Great movie with great performances to watch but on an oscar worthy
The movie is about a family with a disability (deaf) that has spared one of their two children. The abled child happens to have a beautiful voice and fancies going to music school and all that...but her family depends on her too much to let her go.. nice story, but not an oscar worthy... althoght performances desereved individual oscar but not the movie. Could have been a documentary.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Worth watching with an open mind
I have watched several movies about few apocalyptic events and the panic they makes all around the world... but no movie has ever spent so much time on the ignorance displayed by public when faced a hard and serious fact about a threat. This is what is happening to climate at this very moment but yet - who cares?
I can't begin to describe the joy I had watching lead actors play... But some characters are just so flat and contribute nothing to the trajectory this movie takes. The story becomes unnecessarily distracted at times with rediculous details.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Waste of time
You could enjoy its sudden noises (out of a boring quietness)If you are fan of scarry things. However, there is nothing else there to follow. Nothing to make you curious or amuse you!
La casa de papel (2017)
Waist of time
First of all, watching this series is only good if you need some adrenaline but even in that case, you need to keep skipping lots of lame scenes.
Secondly, whoever made this tv show, must've watched too much hollywood and hollywood and also thinks he/she knows about psychology. But it is full of unnecessary events, stupidity and unrealistic scenes. Just for example; who in his right mind would even imagine that a boy who has been tortured for 2 months can handlenother heist? another one, Tokyo's character s unrealistically stupid because of impulsiveness, anger, insurgency and lack of any interporsonal skills. What kind of professor would hire a person who has thoughtlessly decided to visit her mom right after making a scene in that robbery which ended up getting her boyfriend killed?
or that rio... what a joke his caracter was! nothing wrong with him if he wasnt picked up for a robby so big by a "brilliant mind", The Professor, who played around with all Spain. I gave up counting how many times they pointed guns at each other, how many times they were out of lines and stopped taking orders. I give 6/10 only because it pumped some adrenaline.
Private Life (2018)
The journey to the darkland
The story is very familial to some of us. I mean, we've all seen, or at least heard of, couples who are struggling with fertility. Private Life, takes us on a detailed journey into their private life; their bed room and their cold, dark, and desperate moments. At times -- it naturally becomes comic, but that comedy is represented as necessary and philosophic brief moment in real life of such families. Hence, not only the very well written, and wonderfully played characters help us get sucked up into the story, but the story itself is a colorful one. Pointing at all kind of struggles they might have in order to reproduce or adopt. Struggles that stay in deep layers of their private life. The story becomes a message to all other couples with similar problem that they are not alone. I believe, in this movie Sadie, their nephew, manifested the reaction author expected/hoped to see from the audience.
