Il traditore (2019)
A perfect portrait of the Mafia's Code
I've seen a lot of movies about mafia and Aldo about Buscetta (I Giudici by Ricky Tognazzi), and this is the best of recent Times. Favino is quite better than Al Pacino and in the Brazil scenes you can smell Drug and music.
A.C.A.B. - All Cops Are Bastards (2012)
One of the movies you must see to understand Italy
The story about four Cops (in italy the call them Celerini, As An insult) and A new rookie, they dream justice , and they'll do anything to get It. Sollima (director of the film Suburra,Sicario 2 ,and a new episodes of the series Gomorrah) made a Great work, he is able to direct violence and pulp scenes . The screenplay works well , Favino,Nigro and Giallini Aldo work well. Justin amazing(a).
L'anticristo (1974)
Not bad
This Exorcist rip off isn't so rip off. A big part of the plot is original and the special visual effects are great. The Joe D'Amato 's photography is perfect and Alberto de Martino mixes Italian Exorcism Culture and american horror.
Contamination (1980)
And now is your turn
For me, the best film that Cozzi (or Coates) made. A brand craft movie made with good low budget (250k $) and very good sfx, a story that isn't an Alien rip off, but it's Alien arrives on Earth, in other words, a brand new film.
Torino violenta (1977)
I'm from Turin
I'm from Turin, I heard from my cousin about this film,he's cinephile like me, I tried watch this film, and I loved it. Except the plot, that isn't too bad, the stunts and the all technic part of the film, looking at the budget, it's a very good job
Ecologia del delitto (1971)
I think that this is one of the best horror films ever made
Sayng that this film inspired "Friday the 13th" you're insulting the movie. Bava is the master for another time of the camera , and is the absolute maestro of this genre.
Good kills and the right blood . "così imparano a fare i cattivi" (how they learn how be bad), tis was the original production title of this movie.
La ragazza che sapeva troppo (1963)
IL CAPOSTIPITE DEL GIALLO ALL'ITALIANA
First italian giallo with a very good story and a beautiful BW Cinematography by Maestro Mario Bava. Actors are great , Leticia Roman's fear face seems like a portrait of a beautiful woman and John Saxon (born Carmine Orrico) discovers his Italian character. Valentina Cortese seems like the perfect house wife (except at the end obviously).
Bad Lieutenant (1992)
Fast, cheap and in control, Ferrara's masterpiece
A drunk, junkie,Irish cop must give money lost in bet business. For get this money search to catch Mexican guys who raped a nun and stole a golden chalice in a church, the nun pray the Lieutenant to forgive them.
Good photography in Ferrara's underground style. Music is magnificent.
Simply the best Ferrara's film
Unforgiven (1992)
One of the last good Western movies
This movie it isn't like the classical American Western,is the pure spaghetti Western (made by American people): violence, whiskey and girls. 4 academy awards , and they're all merited. Eastwood is a real dude and an honest man. Dedicated to Sergio and Don (Leone & Siegel , who introduced Eastwood in films)
Zombi 2 (1979)
Best Zombie movie that I've never seen
Zombie movie with suggesive photography an special effects, Lucio Fulci made a very good job. Better than "Dawn of the dead"
Il primo re (2019)
Maestoso
A very good job by a new maestro, the story of Romolus and Remus an unknown (i don't know if they are invented or less) facts never teached at school.
Odissea (1968)
A great TV Color masterpiece
The First time I saw this TV serie I was in prima superiore (I'm Italian) (now i'm in 2°) my literature professor let us see a Odissey film . Evento I red the band Mario Bava I was Galles in love. A literal precision according ti the Homer's Odissey, One great way ti learn the history. My favourite episode is "Polifemo" . Great Cast with Bekim Fehmiu and Irene Papas . Great sfx by Mario Bava and the Academy Awarded Carlo Rambaldi. One offline the best thing I Saw at school.
Caribbean Basterds (2010)
Bah...
This film starts buongiorno a good story, but the actors are notte so great, it's only top cheap
Alta tensione: Il maestro del terrore (1996)
It isn't a bada film
Not so good for plot , the story it's Like a parody of the producers bad control , special effects by Stivaletti and Ferzan Ozpetek was the assistant director.
Mery per sempre (1989)
Good film
Two memorable scenes : Claudio Catalano vs. Carmelo Vella , Antonio Patanè saw by the prof. Terzi while is jerking off
Rosso sangue (1981)
Not bad
I like It, it's Born by luck, there are few bar scenes but not too bad
