The Closer: Blindsided (2007)
Pope, completely exasperated
> Don't ever do that, again.
Brenda hijacks the elevator, turns it into an interrogation room.
And watching the veins in Brenda's neck pop out, as she screams at Hawthorn.
> What did I do to you? What did I ever do to you?
Then complete panic, in Bill Hawthorn's eyes, as the officers storm the elevator, and he realises that he just confessed to murder.
This is definitely one of my fave scenes, in this series.
And yes, the opening scene where blood and glass rains down on Brenda, as she hunkers down in the cabin of the car, is intense.
And Pope, as he chastises Brenda for keeping the Daniels / Gabriel romance a secret - it helps establish J. K. Simmons persona, that he retains, as he sells insurance. Deadpan.
The whole episode is classic.
Castle: Probable Cause (2012)
Had me watching the commercials, no channel surfing
With Castle now in reruns on Lifetime, I have to channel surf during the commercials.
This episode, as soon as I realised what was going on, I sat patiently through every commercial, so no chance of missing the next section of the plot.
NCIS: Los Angeles: Provenance (2019)
I think the writers have run out of plot ideas.
It's just a stream of fights - and canned scenes. There's no plot.
It's like the writers took all of the scenes from the other episodes, and randomly selected "one with Deeks and Kensi", "One with G and Sam", "One with Kensi in costume with a random "Bad Guy"", "One arguing with LAPD", "One in the Ops HQ", "Two in the boatshed". etc etc and then it was time for the next programme - and I have no idea how this episode wrapped up.
