This is obviously a true story so the plot is what it is but what a brilliant portrayal. Eddie Redmayne the main character has to be one of the most brilliant believable actors I have ever seen. So much so that I will google him to watch other films of him. All the acting was excellent but he was able to portray a feeling with out even batting and eyelid or moving his face. Incredible. I always tend to feel sorry for the "baddy" in a film but he just drew you in and. Made you want to protect him even though he was quite obviously, from the beginning, the baddy so no spoilers here. Great movie left me not understanding how someone so nice can be so wicked!

Sort of weird but addictive! Some characters are acted so well but then you have the Mother of the family! Talk about over acted and badly acted! She makes me want to silence the sound. I wish she would shut her ssscreaming up.

It leaves you guessing a lot and it is hard to follow the logic of it all but it is created that way I guess..... .....

Not sure what else to write as I haven't finished yet but it sure does keep you intrigued.

Looking forward to the final episode to see if this all pulls together because watching it, at the moment is like a guessing game as too what it is all about so therefore becomes a bit frustrating. I cant make up my mind if it is really good or really bad!

When reading these reviews is more interesting than the film it says a lot! So so so slow, all the men look the same. To boring to even know what is going on!

Just had to look here for the review before I continue due to the hammy acting!!!! The blonde detective from the city is laughable. I have now finished the series and it actually grows on you and got better, it all seemed very far fetched but actually pieces together towards the end. Even the blonde detectives acting grew on me. I would rate it as not bad to watch.

Its difficult to explain why it is so good! I always fall asleep watching movies/series but this kept me glued and I binge watched it all. I have no interest in chess whatsoever and although the whole film is about chess players it is also about life, relationships and turn of events. An amazing and varied fascinating cast and beautifully shot. I had to read through the negative comments to see what people would find negative about it. Mostly Christians upset because she swore in church and people looking too deep into the feminist side of things which I didn't notice at all. Does it upset them that a woman can be good at chess? and others who were looking to learn how to play chess in the film but obviously weren't taught how to do so.

It is an utter time waster. you are none the wiser at the end than you was in the beginning and it is so repetitive that I kept thinking I must be watching the same episode twice. I can not begin to put into words what a waste of time that was. If you want to know anything just watch the last episode as it is just a repetition of all the rest but I wouldn't even waste your time with that. A spoiler is impossible as there is nothing new to spoil.

Leave your self a couple of hours, its long but not boring! Superb acting and a great film. Don't take any notice of the negative comments. It doesn't have a second that is boring!

What a shame, I fast forward almost the whole episode! Not one important fact , just surgery and bla bla! Why oh why do they always ruin a brilliant story. I suppose he is going to lure her to want sex with him now as he starts to soften the ice of this woman. If so then very predictable, if not then chapeau! It has actually made me just want to read the story line and not watch it to put me out of my misery :D

Really enjoyable series but how can anyone live, work or be with people with that awful whinny accent. What part of America is it? The 2 daughters and the Mum are very annoying but sort of addictive characters. I almost switched to dubbing it into Spanish though because of there voices!

The bad ratings are beyond me. I cant understand how this series isn't spoke about more. I finished it and wanted to watch it again. The actor who portrays Versaces hiller is incredible. I just loved every actor in this series. I was totally hooked! Yes, it could have been told in less time but I found it all very interesting

Maybe she was once criticised for being expressionless and is making up for lost time.

I am truly trying to get to the end of this film. My jaw is dropping at how corny it could possibly be. The lead actress is awful! I will not give up!
