The Prisoner of Zenda (1937)
Excellent Movie - great story
Having been made in 1937, this is a good movie with a lot of on screen history to watch. David Niven portrays Capt. Fritz Tarlenheim, and is superb. Ronald Colman plays two roles, those of Maj. Rudolf Rassendyll, and that of King Rudolf V. He did an excellent job. Douglas Fairbanks Jr. was excellently cast in this part as was Raymond Massey. You will remember him as Abraham Lincoln. This is a typical story of good and evil, and how one man can change things if his heart is good. Madeleine Carroll portrays Princess Flavia. I would loved to have seen this one in color, I bet she was beautiful. Good movie. I give it a 6 out of a possible 10.
Wolf (1994)
Great movie
Hey, every time this movie comes on the T.V. I make it a point to watch it. Each character's part is well cast. Jack Nicholson does a great job as a man who is turning into a wolf. The writers did a great job of concentrating on how his senses become more and more acute as his transforms into the "wolf". James Spader's role is okay, but not too impressive. He is much better as an attorney in "Boston Legal". Michelle plays a sophisticated rich girl who finally meets the man who really understands her, a.k.a, Jack the "Wolf". Overall the movie really touches on a lot of different aspects of life and the roles that each plays in it. Well directed and great casting.
