Oppenheimer (I) (2023)

It was a cool film. They involved a lot of scientist that Oppenheimer met which was great. It goes a lot about Oppenheimer's feelings and his personal life.

As someone who does not know a lot about Oppenheimer the film is great. I had Physics and Chemistry classes at University and the major historical figures seem to be accurate.

It captures the build up, success and aftermath of Oppenheimer's team work. It has a clear focus and good story.

At least it is a film that has not gotten under the influence of an feminist propaganda. Therefore, it is worth watching and supporting unlike other films which just want to tell the narrative that all men are bad and all women are good. In reality everybody has done good and bad things like in this film Oppenheimer.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (2023 Video Game)

Should be a sequel of Star Wars film

The writers if the story should win something. It has a lot of emotion and you are rooting for the good side characters. As an expert in Star Wars, I can say the developers of the game know Star Wars better than the makers of the new films. Even the short film sequences are better than any fight scenes that we saw in the sequels.

Spoiler esque: Some negative points: too many collectibles. What I miss is also a visit to the jedi temple on Coruscant, a jedi cloak. Jedi Starfighter flying would have been epic. What I think is unnecessary are the puzzles to gain sonething which takes place in a dream world.

Moreover, I need to say the game is the best Star Wars Game I ever played even above The Force Unleashed and KOTOR (sry Kotor fans).

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)

Feminist movie with no room for love or mentorship

Rather diasappointing movie. Ant-Man is done very badly and what he achieved undermined. Moreover, the role of mentor and apprentice with his daughter is reversed and wrong. She doesn't know anything and is the reason for all the things to go wrong along with the grandmother. What did she learn out of the movie....nothing. Ant-Man did fight enough battles to mentor her and be an idol. It is not logical.

It is a typical feminist movie who does not know how to tell a story right. There are no family dynamics and no real interactions or feelings. The film feels empty and heartless. Personally, I would love to see a female villain for once. Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3 is 100times better at least on the part of telling a story and have actual family dynamics.

A film with a packing story, best marvel film easily

Forget the lastest marvel films with boring stories or masculine women. The film has real stories to tell and delivers a message everybody can behind of. The storytelling is similar to the one once George Lucas did in Star Wars. I think the film deserves all the praise it gets. The soundtrack is very good, but nothing special.

What I like too is the graphics and the villain. Rocket Racoon's story is one of the missing pieces.

James Gunn will make a big hole if he leaves Disney. The film was sometimes boring at the beginning, but the buildup was perfect.

I recommend watching the chrismas special before it otherwise you won't get some details.

The Mandalorian (2019– )

Season 3 is good, but much criticism, plotholes

Mandalorian season 1 and 2 are good. Season 3 lacks love and respect. Why? It has mainly political conflicts. Logical errors like the capture of Din Djarin which could easily be prevented by Bo Katan with her dark saber. Din Djarin used the saber more then Bo-Katan even would. Din Djarin has more often then not become the side character of the series line Boba Fett series. Therefore I don't like the direction where they are going. They (Lucasfilm) seem to forget what story they want to tell. How much longer is Grogu not going to speak?

Love is clearly absent in the movie. Moreover where is Boba Fett?

Hunter Killer (2018)

The film is very entertaining one of the best war films

The movie has so many plus points. It highlights how people have to work together and not against each other what I find missing in today's society.

Moreover the portrayal of men in war is more actual than ever after the invasion of Ukraine. The crew on the US submarine can be seen as humanity in a nutshell. Crisis have to be overcome and interpersonal conflicts have to be overcome and also prejuduce against enemy soldiers.

What it highlights best is also the brutal reality of warfare. Not everybody will survive in a conflict. You cannot save every person.

In conclusion the film sets an example to be well structured and has an actual satisfying story to tell which other films struggle with because they think to lecture us instead of telling a story.

One for the Money (2012)

Good film, don't see any weaknesses

The film is enjoyable. The critics really have watched a different film than me. It contains a lot of humour and has its own tone. If you compare it with crime stuff then there is not really anything better than this film.

I read the lead actress got a prize for worst actress which find more than not justified. I have seen many Marvel movies and other crime movies where there are much worse acting of the main character.

In this film however the tension is always there, you don't even sleep because the plot is interesting. If Hollywood was already bad to good movies 10 years ago then I really worry about the film industry. I cannot be that you cancel such a good movie.

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi (2022)

Short but gold

Very nice Star Wars stories from the clone wars and even after the period.

I like every bit of it and wish they would make more of this. The show shows the potential that Star Wars still has and what blockbuster movies cannot create. Here I am looking at episode VII-IX. These movies just cannot catch what a Jedi truly is or how the Sith work.

Therefore this shows is like the feeling I got from watching the prequels for the first time and falling in love with Star Wars. Star Wars can still be good when there are lightsabers involved.

I am not a huge fan of the Clone Wars series but I can understand why it is so enjoyable.

Black Adam (2022)

Nice film, excellent story

Probably one of the best DC films. The story is very well written and crafted. We really know the motivations what the main characters are feeling.

The showdown and fight is really developed and even the bad guy has a motive which was lacking in the justice league movie.

The Rock is playing black adam at its best. Don't listen to media. I think these film experts search for mistakes which are not really there. I rate the movie highly.

It has only one negative point.

Only downside is there are many other characters which felt a little random to be there, but I think they gave some vibes of Suicide squad. It is not as extreme as in the marvel movies though.

The Adam Project (2022)

Nice movie

I like the movie.

Time travel is becoming more and more a thing.

So I like the story and Ryan Reynolds is just fantastic as always.

There is not much that I can complain. Probably at the beginning a little more backstory would have made the side characters and the villain more clear. What are the motives of the villain. In what kind of prospect is the world ending. At the beginning it is really unclear to me what had happened. Maybe I need to rewatch that.

Some scenes just remind me of Star Wars - maybe sometimes too much.

On the positive side, the movie is not that long so you can watch it in under 2 hours.

The Gray Man (2022)

Reminds me of Jason Bourne a lot and Fast and Furious

It looks like a different version of Jason Bourne. Action packed and all the elements Jason Bourne has. It's nice to watch.

Especially Chris Evans as a villain was good, but some scenes were too much I think. So it also reminds me of Fast and Furious, because some action is just ridiculous.

For the character development I think the film is solid has a nice background story. The film needs a continuation otherwise it cannot really be worth watching.

Netflix has really made it far to produce such blockbusters. A pity such films don't need to come in cinemas. In my opinion they should be first published in the cinemas and then on the streaming service, but who am I to tell them so.

Nice story. But how can Geralt be bold? He grew grey hair over time or how? The end was rather confusing. So how can the witchers have 30 witchers or more later on when the netflix series starts? Most them are dead only 5 younglings survived.

Just finished the season two today, if you want to see more just play witcher 3

I must say I like the series. At first I thought Triss Merigold was not very well presented, but at the end I like this version of her.

So in general what I like is the tone and also the world.

Gerald and Yennefer are very well done and even more Ciri.

What could be better shown is the motives of Nilfgaard. They are an imperial force that want to rule everything.

What is the white flame. Is it a metaphor?

In my view the two seasons are an perfect preparation to play the game the witcher 3 wild hunt .......
