I was looking forward to watching this film but compared to older versions, it just didn't make the grade. It was Jerky & in places, hard to follow. I loved some characters in it, especially Johnny Depp (although he wasn't in it enough), Judy Dench & Penelope Cruz. Poirot wasn't very convincing.

I wanted to give it more than 5. I adore Johnny Depp. He worked so hard in this film & gave all he could. Such a marvellous actor BUT. The film was, in my opinion, lacking, & I don't know why. It seemed muddled somehow. It just didn't rock my boat.

What a beautifully made film. I lost myself in it all. Johnny Depp & Kate Winslett were excellent. Perfect casting. I can't get over how well Johnny spoke with a Scottish accent. He truly is a first class actor. Where was his deserved Oscar?

I am sorry but this has to be one of the worst films I have seen. The plot is muddled. I didn't manage to suffer to the end. Miss Heard, as always, relied on her looks to get her through. If a studio wants a film to fail, add Miss Heard to the cast. The truth is, she just has no acting talent. Justice for Johnny.

I usually avoid films of this nature but because Johnny Depp was the star, along with Penelope Cruz, I felt that I must watch it. They were both exceptional. It was good seeing Johnny in a role such as this. He is an outstanding actor. One of the very best. He can play anything & excel.

After reading/hearing mixed reviews I didn't know what to expect but I really enjoyed this film. It was a good old fashioned, tongue in cheek action film. Johnny Depp was, as always, outstanding & very funny. Disney should be very ashamed at their treatment of him.

Love Scorsese & Jagger. Really fast moving music drama. The early 70's detail is so accurate. James Jagger is so good in this. He takes after his fabulous dad. I'm very sad to find out there is no series 2.

I am not a prude and I don't object to mild swearing in context to the play but the excessive appauling swearing in this series is so off putting that I gave up watching after 2 episodes.

I really admire John Ford but I was bored with this after 2o minutes. Too much preaching and annoying loud hymn singing. All too much.

It did seem to be a good film but i had trouble reading quite a few of the captions. The writing was too small and because of this it was hard to follow the storyline.

This is one crazy 1960's movie. Of course, Dirk Bogarde is fabulous and as handsome as ever.

Poor Rudy Valentino died in 1926. After that sad event Hollywood were desperate to find someone to take his place which of course was impossible. Anyway they decided Novaro would fit the bill. What a joke. This whole film was trying to emmulate Rudy in "The Sheik". A Sam Wood production and he directed The son of the Sheik!

Bing was excellent I this very moving film. I go as far as to say that he should have been considered for an Oscar. I have been learning all about Bing and his career & I am in awe of him and his many achievements.

In my opinion "The Godfather" is, in every way, the best film ever made.

Oscars galore deserved & Robert (the wonderful) de Niro was just superb.

George Raft is gorgeous in anything. He just can't go wrong.

I absolutely love this series. Brilliant everything. The actors are first class. The attention to detail, historical & cultural knowledge of this time is so well researched & so rich in detail. Just a complete joy to watch.

The original & the best.Superb movie & even more enjoyable with the very handsome Mr Raft in it.
