What If...?: What If... Thor Were an Only Child? (2021)
Solid comedic episode
I see everyone is leaving bad reviews for this, but I thought it was pretty good. After a streak of dark episodes, we finally get a more lighthearted one, and it's pretty funny. Is it realistic? Does it make sense? Not really. But it's a comedy. It doesn't have to. This is kind of a parody of the MCU and it's okay. I liked the Infinite-Ultron cameo at the end.
What If...?: What If... Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands? (2021)
Great.
This episode had a dark twist and a much more interesting plot. I loved how the watcher finally interacted with the people he watches.
What If...?: What If... The World Lost Its Mightiest Heroes? (2021)
Best episode yet
This episode kept you guessing what the 'nexus event' in it was. It's a less predictable story structure and is an improvement in my opinion.
What If...?: What If... T'Challa Became a Star-Lord? (2021)
Not bad at all
This was decent & better than the first episode. Some character appearences really surprised me. The problem is with the pacing of the episode- 8 think it should be longer, to allow a deeper exploration of each world. Heck, I wouldn't mind if every episode was 2 hours long.
Still waiting for the overarching story to pick up.
What If...?: What If... Captain Carter Were the First Avenger? (2021)
Nice
For the first episode of What If...?, this was pretty good. I got used to the animation & voice acting pretty quickly. The pacing is fast and awkward but that's what you can expect when you cram a two hour movie into 30 minutes. All of the twists were spoiled in the trailer so the element of surprise wasn't there for me. I hope the show will have more connections to other alternate universes in the next episodes and have an overarching storyline.
Loki: The Nexus Event (2021)
Wild episode.
After the maybe-filler-episode called lamentis, which suffered from a lack of.. actual plot?, Loki is back on track and it's amazing. Episode 4 "The Nexus Event" is filled with twists and turns ( Mobius's maybe-fake Death, Loki's Fake Death, Hunter B-15 discovering her past, Ravonna is evil as hell, all pruned stuff goes to a Sakaar-like wasteland aaaand the time keepers are androids. ) The soundtrack is great as always and all of the actors do a good job. The only problem is Sylvie and Loki's relationship. As Mobius puts it: Messed up.
Loki: Lamentis (2021)
Entertaining but uneventful
As strangely entertaining it is to watch Tom Hiddleston sing asgardian songs, Episode 3 is the weakest one in the series so far. This was a pure 50 minutes of Loki and Sylvie travelling, thinking of plans that ultimately always go wrong. Sophia Martino's acting is questionable in the first half of the episode, but it's either I got used to it or she started feeling more comfortable the more scenes they filmed.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Truth (2021)
Letdown
This episode feels stretched - 10 minutes were spent on just fixing a boat. Another 5 minutes spent listening to a monologue about racism from Isaiah. Gender & Race politics are very obvious in this episode. This is a filler episode with little plot, that sets up the finale.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: The Whole World Is Watching (2021)
Best episode so far
I wasn't a big fan of the previous episodes, but this one is really good. Instead of trying to do multiple things simultaneously, this episode manages to connect the three storylines seamlessly: Zemo, The Flag Smashers, and John Walker.
The last scene is the best scene of this show, finally showing us the true John Walker, with the twist we've been expecting.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)
uninspired but not bad
TFATWS, ( by the time I'm writing this ) 3 episodes in, is not a bad show. It's not great, either. It's kind of the generic MCU installment that we expect. This is nothing we haven't seen before.
I hope it gets better, but so far it's a solid 7 from me.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Power Broker (2021)
Yet another mediocre episode
Power Brokers shows Sam and Bucky going from place to place, meeting character after character. Instead of developing other aspects of the story like Walker as the new cap, this chooses to focus on the super soldier serum.
Generally, this episode feels like something I've seen before, and not unique at all.
Minions (2015)
I hate minions
This movie is a cheap cash grab made for 3 year old children. Not a single joke is funny. It was made exclusively to sell toys. The minions are the most obnoxious little things and they are the worst part of the movie. If the worst part of the movie is literally in it's name, you know it's a horrible film.
WandaVision: Previously On (2021)
Great Character Study
Wandavision Ep. 8 Takes a break from the Sitcom Shenanigans and dives into Wanda's past. This is a great episode, despite having little significance to the overall plot of the show
