Tetris (2023)
Great movie with amazing story
Tetris was one of my favourite games during my childhood. I had it on my Game Boy in the '90s, and seeing its introduction and the person who introduced it made me very emotional.
The movie depicts the creation of the Tetris game and its global recognition and historical events that occurred in the late 80s and early 90s, such as the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union.
The characters were relatable, and the acting was excellent. The only negative aspect was that I needed to get the family vibe from Henk and his kids. They didn't even speak the same language when they talked. Moreover, the kids didn't even resemble the actor who played Henk. These small details are important in movies like this, which have a great story.
Every scene in the movie kept me engaged, and I always stayed focused. I can see that Apple TV+ is finally making some good movies. Well done!
The Marvels (2023)
It could be better
The story was not interesting at all; it was all over the place. I found the singing scenes particularly unnecessary. It felt like the actors were rushed to finish the movie, resulting in no character development. Because of this, I found myself checking my Instagram often as it lost my attention.
I'm unsure of the intended audience for this movie: kids or adults. Some scenes were very humorously exaggerated.
The movie's effects were great, and the actors did a good job, especially the villain.
I'm excited to see that the X-Men are being included in the MCU, as I'm a big X-Men fan! Overall, I give it a 6 out of 10.
Argylle (2024)
Fun to watch although it was a bit long
I had a fun time watching this movie. Although my friend who accompanied me didn't like it, I found the imaginative plot quite engaging. The well-known actors' performances kept me glued to the screen, even during the cheesy scenes. While the movie may not be a contender for the Oscars, it does provide a few hours of escapism from the real world.
The only downside for me was that the movie felt a bit too long for its storyline. The movie's marketing is quite effective, as the trailer seems to focus on Dua Lipa and Henry Cavill, but their appearances in the film are short. Despite this, both of them did a great job. However, it's important to note that they are not the main characters of the movie, as the trailer might suggest.
All in all, I enjoyed the movie. If you're a fan of adventurous spy movies that don't take themselves too seriously, this one is definitely worth watching.
All of Us Strangers (2023)
Good Movie but needed more joyful moments
I watched this film a couple of hours ago in the cinema, and if I had watched it at home, I would have cried. The acting was terrific, and the characters were relatable. Some scenes had no dialogue, but I enjoyed seeing the story from the main character's perspective, Adam. However, the movie lacked joyful moments between Adam and his loved ones, which would have made it even better. Even in some cheerful scenes, there was still a sense of sadness, which left me feeling down and uncomfortable. I understand that the intention of the movie was to impact the viewers, but I still think that it needed a little more hope and joy to balance out the heavier moments. Overall, I gave it a rating of 7 out of 10.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
I really enjoyed it
The movie was better than what I expected. The story was a good reason to bring the characters back and in the beginning you're a bit lost but be patient because things actually clear up. I wanted to see more Trinity fighting scenes as tin he first 3 movies Trinity had the best action scenes. I hope they will be a sequel to this. I want more!
Eternals (2021)
I really liked it and can't wait for the sequel
I really enjoyed the movie. All action scenes were proportional with character developments. I think we will find answers for our questions in the sequel. I just don't understand negative comments here; this is a movie, not a cartoon. You can't expect to see action scenes all the time like in Transformers which is by the way super exhausting to watch.
Prey (2021)
Don't waste your time even if you're bored af!
This is the most idiotic movie I've ever seen. No story or character development... pretty predictable scenes! It's just horrible.
