Rigoletto (1993 Video)
10/10
Greatest Movie Ever
9 March 2006
This is a Family Feature Film, so don't expect awesome graphics or superb acting. You won't need it in Rigoletto. I first saw this film as a girl and fell in love immediately. It is a fantastic movie for young girls dreaming of fairy tales and loving music. It teaches valuable life lessons too. The score is beautiful and performed very well. Joseph Paur is incredible. As I said before, the first time I saw this movie I loved it, and it has stayed with me for many years. I now own a couple copies and plan to show my children the magic in this film. My mother shows it to her vocal music students yearly. I watch it several times a year still myself- it's that enchanting. "No one can sing like that and not be beautiful." ~Bonnie Nelson (Ivey Lloyd).

The Staircase (1998 TV Movie)

Fabulous!!

I saw this movie when it aired on Lifetime back in 2004. I have never seen it since then, but have thought of it often. It left such an impression on me I've been searching for it lately. I found it finally and realized it was made just for television. The movie is fabulous- filled with great writing and acting. William Petersen is perfect, as always. This movie left me speechless and in tears. It's a wonderful story of faith, love, and compassion. Does anybody know how I can obtain a copy of this movie for my home? Is that possible with television movies?? I really would love to see it again. This is a must-have among my collection!!

Young Guns II (1990)
9/10
Fun!

Whether or not the movie is 100% historically correct should be irrelevant in this film. The story of Billy the Kid and the Lincoln County Regulators is so sketchy to begin with, it would be hard to pick through every piece made about it. Despite what may or may not be factual in this film... the movie really is a good one. It's even better than the first, with a better all-star cast, better writing, and better acting. Emelio Estivez, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Christian Slater, William Petersen!!! It doesn't get any better than that. They all deliver wonderful performances, and this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat, dodging bullets and laughing right along with "the gang." This movie is very entertaining, and even historical, even though a few points may be slightly off.
