Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Best Spider-Man movie in the world
This is the best Spider-Man movie in the world because it effectively catches the challenges with having a double life. I can't even begin to describe how well it was written. The overall plot here was Peter realizing he can't live someone else's dreams and can no longer handle the responsibilities of being Spider-Man, so though out the movie he has to find his own reason to continue. I actually have no negative feedback for this movie and believe me I thought about that. Well I do think the cast dose not have the physical appearance of the characters they play with the exception of the villain Doc Ock and his wife. This dose not effect their performance in anyway. Unfortunately I didn't get to see this masterpiece in theatres. I am so grateful that it'll return in April. I love this movie if you don't, then you don't know the first thing about Spider-Man.
Deadpool (2016)
Perfect adaptation
This is the perfect way to introduce a character like Deadpool into the big screen. Unlike the second movie it had a balanced amount of humor emotion and action. The flashbacks were cool but I wish they just got the backstory out of the way and moved on. I don't care that would have been a slow beginning. However I still love the way Deadpool was portrayed. Francis/Ajax was a complete psycho which is something you expect from a villain. They portrayed the damsel in distress appropriately. The man ended up saving the woman but the woman demonstrated bravery of her own and she did manage to save Deadpool while he was getting beaten. Climax was filled with awesome effects. They definitely took advantage of the R rating. Unlike most people wasn't happy the movie was Rated R because boy is it Just inappropriate. There's a sex montage and a strip meeting along with swearing and sexual jokes. Too much for a Marvel movie. I get that this is Deadpool but still too much for a Marvel movie, I'm sorry. However the story was told in such a professional way I could watch it an infinite amount of times and ignore the inappropriate parts. Deadpool is a masterpiece film. I have a few notes but still 10/10, we'll maybe 9.
The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
Amazing movie about an American Character
This is in my top 3 Speaking movies. It features all the classic things about the character while also expanding his backstory. The Villain was awesome. The pacing was better then the original Spider-Man. I mean he doesn't need to become Spider-Man right away. Slow beginning May feel unnecessary but it isn't. It's got a great love interest, emotional deaths, suspenseful fights, top notch sound track. The only beef I have with this movie is that he shares his identity to early in the movie which isn't really like Spider-Man's. However I got over that part fast. I don't get the hate. It was honestly better then Far From Hone or even Into The Spider-Verse. All I can say is great movie. Aside from that one flaw I'll give it a 10/10.
The Death of the Incredible Hulk (1990)
Good but Severely Mistitled
The Death of The Incredible Hulk is not even about The Death of The Incredible Hulk. There wasn't even any indication of his death. It could have been titled The End of The Incredible Hulk because technically it is the end of a series called The Incredible Hulk. Another problem I had is how he died. The Hulk can take a fall from a airplane or at-least he is should be able to. I do have some positive notes though. The rest of the movie was very interesting. I liked seeing 1 event from lead to another and to another and another after that. It was also nice seeing Banner finally find companionship and be ready to start a new life instead of keep trying to get back his old life. The spy he falls in love with is interesting but she is like Black Widow in every way. The contained transformation was interesting but Hulk should have been able to get out of that force field then get tranquilized. Another thing this movie needed was Jack McGee. They should have had him finally discover the true identity of The Hulk. It could have been in the climax. McGee could have been working with the cops to get a lead on Hulk and could with them to the air field (The place the climax takes place, Sees David Banner chase the plane and turn into Hulk then watch Banner die just like everyone did.
Overall it was not the best movie but also not the worst.
The Trial of the Incredible Hulk (1989)
Worst Hulk movie ever
The reason I would count this as the worst Hulk movie ever is because of the climax. Daredevil takeovers completely Hulk doesn't even participate. Most of the movie was good and I loved the scenes that do feature Banner in his Hulk form but there just weren't enough. Hulk may be the title character and he may be the one in all the posters but this was not his movie, it's Daredevil's it is 100% Daredevil's. Daredevil doesn't even accomplish anything all he did was save one women at the beginning of the movie. I kept expecting all of the events to lead up to an amazing climax where Hulk and Daredevil stop Fisk together but it doesn't.
If you are a Hulk fan this movie is not for you, don't let the title fool you. Daredevil fans might like it a bit more but still might be disappointed.
The Incredible Hulk Returns (1988)
Best of the original trilogy
This movie was awesome. It had great touches and Hulk had gotten more intimidating than he was in the show. I also loved the gap between Hulk-outs and the every Hulk-out itself. I also like the fact that prior to this movie Banner has not turned into The Hulk for over 2 years, for some reason that made the first transformation more tense. I also like that Hulk was bit more challenged in this movie. If I remember clearly throughout the TV series Hulk won every fight he was in so it was interesting to see him fail because it increases the excitement about what he may do next. If I had to pick a flaw in this movie it would be Thor. Thor was so cheesy and his supposed to be alter ego was instead a somewhat friend. Another thing is Mjlnor. Mjolnir everyone was able to lift Mjolnir and it didn't come back to Thor he had to go pick it up. I get they couldn't do him right because of the lack of cgi but when Hulk throws something really heavy, they manage to make it seem like it's flying though the air so I'm pretty sure they could make it look like a small hammer is flying.
Overall The movie was awesome but Thor just couldn't be done back then. So if you watch it, make sure you're watching it for Hulk not Thor.
The Incredible Hulk (1977)
This 1 episode was better then Mark Ruffolo
This as an amazing pilot. I mean I was a little disappointed that it didn't have an actual villain but Jack McGee made up for that. I also loved the extended run time and the appropriate Pace. The opening dream sequence was sad and emotional, two traits that a Hulk production should have. Most of the beginning was very boring but once Banner turns into the Hulk for the first time you forget all about that and just dive straight into the good stuff. I also loved the gap between Hulk-outs because as good as the smashing is we need to give Banner time to shine. Another great thing about this episode is the amount of Hulk-Outs, they really took advantage of the extended runtime unlike the 2 part episode titled The First. McGee may not have been evil but he doesn't have to be evil to be a good antagonist. He just has to cause problems for the hero, for example he is responsible for the death of Eliana. Before anyone reminds me that his actions were unknowingly comited I know, like I said he is not evil but he is an enemy. It was also interesting seeing the enemy win for once because if McGee hadn't broken into the lab Banner would not have had to fake his death and put his family through all that grief and Eliana did not have to die. Where as McGee got his story printed making him the winner, at least in this episode.
Overall great pilot. Amazing unique touches.
Hulk (2003)
I'll take this Hulk before Raffalo's without even thinking about it.
This is one of my favourite Hulk appearances. One reason for that is because it's kinda of different from the rest. Mark Ruffolo's Hulk is a joke, the Edward Norton's Hulk and the 70s version are pretty much a typical Hulk storyline. Exposed to gamma radiation, turns into a monster, travels across The Globe being pursued. We've scene all that more then once. I'm sure I'm not the only 1 getting tired of it. And Ruffolo's Hulk isn't serious enough. The Hulk is a popular character who has a very tragic life. This movie focuses on that. It has amazing smash scenes, Great interactions between the hero and villain, a very emotional journey, personal relationships with every character even the enemies and an insane cold blooded villain. I miss when movies were like this. Nowadays superhero movies drive straight into the main plot while this movie has an amazing build up to each event and some depressing scenes to help you feel Banner's pain. The final battle could have been better but that's it.
