Take Care of Emily (2019)
A thoughtful, poignant and embracing story of love
The film is a wonderful journey into the love of two siblings who struggle through personal tragedy while learning more about each other along the way. I highly recommend this film.
Route 80 (2018)
Route 80 is a nostalgic look at trying to go home again.
Route 80 is a simple, yet heartfelt story, of the main character (Tommy) returning home from the big city to try and deal with his family and his complicated past. A nice allegory about returning home after being gone so long, you have to reintroduce yourself to family, friends and, sometimes, even yourself.
The Walking Dead (2010)
The show, overall.
I love the show but found some of the plot holes and lack of exposition disappointing. How come no zombies bothered to eat rick while he was in a coma? The door to his room wasn't locked. How come Rick never asks how or why the zombies happened? He just seems to accept it as if it's just another day. It's not clear whether the people come back to life after being bitten by a zombie (as in other zombie movies).
SPOILER****
In the last episode, when everyone is sitting around all cozy at the camfire, how come there are no security lookouts or tripwires tripped when the hoard of zombies comes into camp? It seems they arrived with NO warning which seems unlikely.
Welcome to Earth (2005)
Welcome To Earth Rocks!
This film is easily the best indie film I have seen in a long time. It's rare to find the combined talents of director, writer, and actors all in the same production. Welcome To Earth kept my attention from beginning to end and I look forward to future productions from Mr. Mongillo and crew.
If you're looking for just the right combination of drama, humor and thought provoking scriptwriting, then look no further than this film. Mr. Mongillo's passion comes through on all his films and his commitment to giving the audience 150% is what makes him a breakout talent.
Welcome To Earth is a welcome relief from the usual indie snore-fests.
