Warrior Nun: Galatians 6:4-5 (2022)
Great start to a season!
The episode starts off great with a recap and it was good for someone like me who didn't feel like rewatching season one. The locations were beautiful and were great backgrounds while still maintaining an emphasis on the subject of the scene.
The first episode really establishes the situation of what's going on without just blatantly telling you "THIS IS HAPPENING." They found ways to establish what's happening through actions of characters and dialogue between characters in an environment that isn't random at all.
The editing was on point. Really flowed and reminded me of how the Skam Series' episodes are edited and I love Skam.
The chemistry between characters is fun to watch. The introduction of some new characters really makes you want to keep watching to ask "who are they? Why do I care? Why do they matter?" And those questions do get answered.
I personally really liked the characters' outfits; specifically Ava and Beatrice.
I specifically went back to review episode 1 because I thought it would be the most important to review if anyone wanted to know others' thoughts on the first episode of a season without getting spoiled.
Hoping for Warrior Nun season 3!
Warrior Nun (2020)
So much potential if given enough support
As a Catholic, I was a little deterred because of the title. I was like "Warrior what-" but as a person who likes to watch action, I got over my reluctance to watch the show and when I did...I was happy.
I admit the first season felt slow in the beginning but all of the scenes were worth it to show the character development of the protagonist and newly dubbed Warrior Nun: Ava. Not only her but the other characters as well. All of the characters' personalities are different and some are more predictable than others. Overall, I think all the characters are interesting in their own way. Although the production budget was probably low, the places they filmed at were better than any set. The fights were so mesmerizing. The ending really left you wanting to know what was going to happen next.
As for Season 2, it is amazing from the start. The chemistry between characters, the plot, the fights, the filming/editing are all just amazing. If you think all of the above were amazing in season 1, its like that but soooooo much better. It truly is a top quality season and I wish it was more than 8 episodes! I am one of those fans left wanting more because of the ending. This show and the actors are just amazing on and off screen. It would be a shame if they couldn't come together again for AT LEAST one more season with at least 10 episodes!
I Kill Giants (2017)
It Was A Good Movie To Me
This movie at first looked like an action movie, but it isn't if you thought it was. It's different and 'deep'. It has a main character who's dealing with a real world problem and constantly avoids the problem, it's relatable in a sense.
All of the reviews on this movie are kind of harsh but I feel like it truly does show the character's development and relationships very well, the actors, in my opinion, did a very good job portraying their characters.
