Sorry for my bad English, this movie is a super master piece luxury filmed in scope in Iran (I can't understand how they did it), about repressed people who want to make a techno pop concert in Teheran. the movie is incredibly sad but no boring at all. How could they film such a "transgressive" movie in the same country with that bizarre, boring and unpresentable president and goberment is a mystery for us.

Iran is a completely different example of what we think as "moshlim" country. People there have been always the best cultured and intellectual people in the region and this movie shows perfectly the anguish they are suffering after the tiranic dictature of this crazy clown, who rules him in such a despotic way.

Then I want to know...was this movie filmed in Iran? How they did it?

The movie "Ambush" is a very interesting movie although I can't still understand now in the plot what was the relationship between Finland and Germany in the second world war.By the fact I have some Finnish friends who couldn't explain it to me at all in a rational way, but it seems they were alliated to the Nazis?? I am sorry but I am not very implicated in these items about second world war, but the movie doesn't explain what was happening exactly, as the russians appear as murderer invaders in a out of time dimension war and also the guns used by the Finnish looked from the I world war. The Nazis and their collaboration with the finish are not ever mentioned.

Instead of this the movie is very good filmed, with a lot of masculine and feminine cakes, and specially the music is super, some years ago I bought a CD from the finish label Ondine,called "Aurora Borealis", and I was very impressed about the music of this movie, , as it was never shown in Spanish cinemas I thought I never were able to see this movie, until I bought the DVD in a second hand shop last week in Madrid...incredible! I repeat that the movie is super. Sorry for my bad English!

Never known, this movie was a really surprise... I found this film in DVD in a small shop in Prague. Very hard to believe, how it was made this wonderful show with very modern technique, , completely shot as an old American movie of the 50's, technicallly perfect, also very dramatic and sad, script written with humour but also with sad feelings of that age. Plot also resumes very well what happened in the republic when the russians entered and also it starts very happy it finishes depressingly. Musical numbers are super, specially the one in the fair. It resumes perfectly OK the changue from happy years in Prague to the devastating after the Russian came. The girls and boys are extremely good actors and cakes. Just find this movie...also sound and photography are super!!!

I write this as some perhaps unnecessary opinion to other Veer-Zaara articles in this space, as I think that "Veer-Zaara" and "Kaal ho Na Ho" are the best movies in my opinion I have ever seen in this XXI century. There are many opinions about the new "Ta Ra Ra Pum Pum" saying it is nor as good, of course Yash Raj will need a season to make masterpieces so big as these two epics.

More or less Yash Raj also entertains you and if you are a fan of the actors there you will completely stunned, but we wait for something more than in the last movies.

But as it is the page for "Veer-Zaara", actors are super, musical numbers are superb, photography the best we have seen in our lifes from "Gone with the wind", Rani makes the best actress play we have never seen in an Indian movie, (this really deserves an Oscar!, as the one she made in "Black"), sound and footage are crazy impossible, well, I really recommend this movie to everyone.

I have just seen this movie on TV and i couldn't believe what was this surrealistic plot on the screen. I thought it was a new crazy contest but it was a TV movie.I had two hours of crazy fun in one of my depressing nights, and I finally had to laugh in order to conserve my nerves, with the most sarcastic dialogs and strange situations that acted for me as a encoring surprise.Cristina Blondo, one of the stars in amazing "Madhouse" french movie is superb as a luxury thieve prostitute in a hypnotic paranoid plot.The mix of tension and laughing situations reminds perfectly of Hitchock and I can't believe why this movie has not been shown in the cinemas.Perfect movie if you are sad!!!

We have seen this bizarre movie in a old video tape copy as in Spain it was always in a sinned way. It was shown only some days in poor cinemas in the 80¨'ts, with no dolby stereo. Now it is not copy of this jewel in DVD in Spain. We bought this tape in a railway station for one euro! The first thing we have to speak about is of course its soundtrack: every single note in the score is a masterpiece, every song has words to think deeply about , but the decadent look of the movie is absolutely dazzling, and the philosophical items are very strange settled for a movie so expensive. We think that the last half an hour of this movie is one of the best for freakies like us we have seen for years. Lumet makes an spectacular ending only with minimum stage in black with Miss. Ross singing a song that makes you alive for the rest of your live and having confidence in yourself as never seen before with words really streaking! Also the spectacular dance ballet in the city in colours with the monkeys transforming into mega studs and cake black girls in golden tanga under spectacular music by Quincy Jones is absolutely stunning. We will defend this crazy movie forever!

This movie is so charming and beautiful I could be speaking hours about it. As always in Barcelon, Spain, we were looking for hours in Pakistan supermarkets until we found a spectacular pirate copy in widescreen and glorious sound.Indians are decidedly devoted not to show their movies in Spain as they premiere us to buy this movies in pirate copies and don't giving us the rights for distribution here. The Pakistan people can't understand why we prefer the copies in widescreen! The music is astonishing and the only problem with the movie is that it has only two real musical numbers.As always, all the actors are superb but specially mention to Akshaye Khanna, who is not a superstar but his acting in this movie is spellbound. Also the girl who makes the "mature" girl who drunks makes a great job.This movie attacks completely to your heart!

I bought this movie at an Indian supermarket in Barcelon for 3 auras, some months ago.I had seen before "Kal Hoo Na Ho" in the Oriental Film Festival one year ago, and I was so impressed and disturbed that such a MASTERPIECE of the modern cinema(I couldn't believe this movies haven't a commercial career in Europe) wasn't shown before on screen, that I bought a new one directed by the girl who made the choreography in the first one (Main Hoon Na). I have no words to comment about "Main Hoon Na", for the first time in years I have the sensation of something so wild, absolutely a masterpiece of musical movies comparable to the classical movies in USA in the sixties. I was so excited as when I saw "West side story" in my life for the first time. Bollywood are the future of musicals. All the actors are super, the movie is a prodigious of filming and foot age, the plot is crazy but involving, choreography is incredible, the sound is dazzling...well...everything is crazy in this movie. I don't remember to have such a feelings since I saw "Millie" on DVD. Well lucky I didn't have words!

BAUNTY AUR BABLY IS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES FROM 2005 in the world, and unfortunately it is impossible to see it in the cinemas of Spain or the rest of Europe.. why we have to eat all the USA trash and never We can go to the cinema to see a bollywood film? Here in Barcelon, in the Indian supermarkets we are so lucky that we can buy this movie for 6 euros!!! We can't understand why such masterpieces are impossible to see in cinema! I recommend absolutely this movie. Musical numbers are not so well staged as in Kal Hoo Na Ho or Main hoon Na, but the documentary style of the movie with superb natural photography, the surprising plot and the great actors that make authentic an impossible bollywood argument make this movie a real surprise. Late movies of bollywood really make us so happy as it is like watching a new Hello Dolly! every month.
