Thunderbirds Are Go: Escape Proof (2017)
Slightly spoiled by the last line.
One of the top episodes, without a doubt.
A prison break,
a betrayal,
a clash of villainous egos,
it's just a pity they ruined the mood of the final scene with a lame attempt at humour.
Thunderbirds Are Go: Up from the Depths: Part Two (2016)
spectacular
A magnificent follow up to a brilliant episode.
This is my all time favourite Thunderbird's are Go episode.
From the excellent score to Kayo stalk of their archenemy, to the climactic fight between a modified Thunderbird Three and The Mechanic's spaceship (over the return of Ned Tedford no less) this episode never fails to satisfy, particularly on Scott's words to Alan after the final fight.
Thunderbirds Are Go: Up from the Depths: Part One (2016)
A few Star Wars references.
The scene where Gordon battles the Mechanic's ship is heavily influenced by as scene from The Empire Strikes Back.
Still, it is one of the best episodes of season 2, and I enjoy it very much.
Thunderbirds Are Go: Earthbreaker (2016)
Absolutely stunning
It took my breath away to watch it. Chris Jarman does a perfect voice for the new villain- the Mechanic. This new villain is certainly bigger and badder, and his power is straight out terrifying at times. He doesn't dilly dally about, he just does what he came to do and removes all obstacles with an impressive indifference.
An excellent start to a promising second series.
Thunderbirds Are Go: Undercover (2016)
Absolutely faultless
Penelope and Parker are being lent to the GDF in an undercover sting operation to recover stolen technology, Kayo is spying on the operation without permission, and Scott is understandably worried about what happens if she's caught.
Then everything goes wrong, bumbling GDF worker Ned Ted-ford returns as comic as ever, and starts the operation too early.
From there, it only gets better, the thief escapes, with Parker! Kayo chases after them and gets caught up in an aerial dogfight with a GDF flyer! And Scott scrambles to the scene to try and smooth everything over. Banino (the thief) traps Parker in a disaster zone, forcing Penelope and Scott to perform a rescue -"Parker, the things I do for you"- while Kayo catches the thief only to be forced to let him go when her secret is nearly revealed.
It turns out Parker had the stolen technology on him for half the adventure, so everything is all right then.
Sprinkled with humour and some unforgettable lines, proper heartbreak as Kayo is faced with the choice of her good standing with the Tracy's, Undercover is easily one of the best episodes in the whole show, made all the better for not being a conventional episode.
Definitely recommend this.
Thunderbirds Are Go: Designated Driver (2015)
Admittedly there isn't a real rescue
But it's still one of my favourite episodes with excellent humour, and Sylvia Anderson does a great job in her showdown with her successor. Especially loved that they used shots of real hands like the old. Not recommended if you want action, definitely recommended if you want a break and a laugh
