The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)
Decent installment, first two movies were way better.
I just got out of the theaters from seeing the new conjuring movie, I have to say it's solid beginning to end. First two movies are definitely much better with James wan on board who didn't return to direct the third installment. The jump scares are done just right, some pretty intense music as well, and lots of great makeup and special effects. Great direction, storyline, and acting. If you're looking for some great horror entertainment, spend your weekend watching this movie, definitely worth a look!
Robot Chicken (2001)
Meh. Terrible.
I'm an avid animation fan and enjoy all sorts of adult cartoons but just my personal opinion, I can't stand robot chicken. Annoying and crappy looking animation, irritating voices, terrible direction, offensive jokes in the wrong place, terrible writing. Perhaps stick with South Park or Rick and morty, robot chicken really tops my list as one of the worst cartoons I've ever seen.
Cheap (1974)
Rare adult animated comedy hidden gem.
I saw this movie back in high school during the mid 90s on VHS. I still own the vhs tape up to this day and still pop it in the vcr every once in awhile to get a good laugh. Perhaps not for the easily offended. But if you enjoy edgy adult animated movies from the 70s, then this movie is for you.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021)
Decent movie, not so great...
I've always been a hardcore fan of the Saw series, knowing this is the first movie not to have the name " Saw " in the title and knowing it's the 9th installment. I had very low expectations thinking this movie was gonna go downhill and it wouldn't be as great as the first 8 movies. Good direction, mediocre script, great acting. Maybe not the best horror movie of this year but still worth a watch for some quick entertainment.
South Park (1997)
Outrageous Humor. One of the best cartoons ever made.
South Park is a very overrated show, some people hate it and find it too offensive. I find it funny and creative, with lots of clever satire discussing pop culture and current events. South Park episodes get produced in only one week which means they can keep with current events as of 2021. This show is absolutely brilliant, very crass and crude but smart. Definitely not for the easily offended with all the foul language, strong sexual content, graphic violence, and racial slurs. But if you enjoy controversial jokes and adult animation, then I highly recommend this show. Give it a chance, you won't regret it.
10 STARS.
The Unholy (2021)
Had some great potential but it failed...
I went into this movie expecting a good horror movie that's not what I got. Very shallow and rushed script, cheesy acting, bad direction and bad music in the wrong scenes. Sony should really step up their game in making better horror movies, this one was a huge disappointment. So let me just make it clear, DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE, DO NOT waste 100 minutes on this garbage.
Friday the 13th (1980)
Great Old School Slasher!
I remember renting the VHS tape in 1994, I was almost 14 and one of the few r rated movies I had ever rented. I watched it one night and the movie was great. Everything you want, a good well made plot that has a fast and easy pace. Great gore and kills. And we'll it's the 80s, you can't expect actors to know how to act professional on a low budget slasher but for what they did, it's exceptional. Highly recommend this movie but due to its violence, language, and nudity/drug use, this movie is for audiences 17+
