America's Book of Secrets (2012)
A lot of inaccurate information
If you're going to do a show and provide "facts", at least make sure they are correct facts. While watching, particularly the serial killer episode, there were many inaccuracies stated. That's when I stopped watching.
Ginny & Georgia (2021)
You'll either love it or hate it
Honestly, I'm enjoying the show. It's got mystery, scandal, emotions and flips between mom and daughter story lines. The only problem I have is sexualizing what is supposed to be a 15 year old girl on camera. Some things are acceptable to portray. Some things are not. If you watch, you'll know.
Inside the Criminal Mind (2017)
Wowzers
They really need to fact check their information. The one that really bothered me was the cult one where they said they never fired at the people at Waco. Yes, they did! The whole ordeal was a mess and the government has been trying to cover up facts ad their own wrongdoings this whole time. Fact check!!!
Daredevil (2015)
Better than the movie but not by much
The hero is not really a hero as much as an egomaniac. He doesn't seem to be doing this for the city as much as doing it for his own personal glory.
Foggy is cute and relatable. He seems down to earth, genuine and likeable.
Karen is so thirsty for the main character that she is making herself look ridiculous. She has someone who truly cares for her and keeps her safe, yet she wants his best friend. Cliche update: Karen ruins the show. Cannot stand her character at all
Iron Fist: The Blessing of Many Fractures (2017)
This episode has been the worst yet
Let's start with a character that seems to show hop. Claire. I love the actress, but not liking this character. She is holier than thou in this show and it gets quite annoying quickly. When she was on luke cage, she didn't dare try and tell him not to kill anyone. But a big bad drug smuggling/dealing murderer is off limits to kill for her. 😕 😞
Danny- ugh. Does he even really know what he is doing? He leads by emotion and can't even fight unless he focuses his chi. And I mean, really has to focus. Let's stop in the middle of the fight to focus so I can win. Shouldn't you be able to draw upon that as naturally as breathing if you are this all mighty and powerful superhero from heaven?
Colleen- wow. She went from wanting nothing to do with him to being madly in love with him in 3.5 seconds the minute he said he took a vow of chastity. Really?
The drunken fighter- can you be any more dramatic? His fighting style acting is hilarious and so stupid you have to laugh.
I wouldn't recommend watching this series at all. The only reason I'm watching it is so I can watch the defenders. I don't want to be lost. But I won't continue to watch this after I'm done watching that
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The Totally Excellent Adventures of Mack and the D (2020)
Worst episode so far
I'm not loving season 7 at all. The characters have gone so down hill, that I will be glad to finish the series. Mack and deke are not very good characters to begin with and this episode just solidified that feeling. I get the whole 80s theme they were going for but honestly, this was just horribly written and portrayed.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Perfectly dreadful
Reading the reviews of others that enjoyed it and stating that the negative reviews are coming from people before they finish the full season could be true. The reasoning for that is because the show drags so much that it's hard to want to even watch it.
I realize that it's not the same as last season, and don't expect it to be. However, the first season has you hanging on the edge of your seat, ready to binge watch the season in an entire day. This season is so dull and drags so much, I find it hard to even stay awake during even one episode.
The acting is horrible. I have no idea what is going on with the "American womans" accent but it's bad bad. The setting is in London in the 1980's but the way the others speak it's as if they are stuck in the 1800's. Doesn't sit right.
This season is about death and loss, not scare tactics. The little girl actress with her saying perfectly splendid about 1,000 times an episode gets old and annoying really fast. I'm having a hard time wanting to finish this season. I'm hoping if they do come out with a 3rd season, it is better than this season has been.
The Flash: Godspeed (2019)
Spoilers involved nora is the worst character ever
This whole season with nora has been the worst to date. Nora is extremely selfish, acts like a spoiled brat, hides things and then acts all pitiful when she got caught working with her family's enemy. She knew how bad of a person thawne was and yet she still continued to seek him out. The nora character is so immature and she is hard to watch. Every time she says schway, I want to vomit. Also, the actresses in this episode are horrible actors and need to have better visual appeal. With that one girls eyebrows and the captain in general, just very difficult to watch. I would give this episode/season a negative 10 just for nora alone.
Kangaroo Jack (2003)
No. Just no
This may be a good movie if Anthony Anderson wasn't in it. He's annoying, obnoxious and makes the movie horrible to sit through
Haven (2010)
Mediocre at best
I don't even know where to begin with this monstrosity. There may be spoilers in my review but I will try to avoid them.
First, the acting is horrible. They really have zero emotion. They literally act like they are just running lines after getting botox. I genuinely feel nothing for these characters. The only one that doesn't seem over the top or underwhelming is Duke. The reactions to some of the outlandish scenarios are no more than a reaction to a glazed donut.
Second, the writing. Oof. Some of the daily scenarios seem forced to find something to write about. Animals coming alive after being stuffed because the woman stuffed her son after he died. What is that? The main plot on finding out who she is or who her mother may be is mentioned in passing every now and then and doesn't progress very well.
And lastly, for now, is how they seem to just let people get away with murder and really never arrest anyone. Oh, you didn't realize this would happen? It's ok, you don't have to go to jail for murder, we understand. (eye roll) Then, these killers can talk to the officers or go after them and not have any repercussions. I realize this is fantasy/sci-fi but never have I seen such pushover people in my life. They have as much authority as a potato.
In conclusion, this series had potential. They flat did not meet that.
Supernatural: Metamorphosis (2008)
My unprofessional opinion
I hate how dean treats sam about his abilities. I feel like he was completely overboard with this episode on how dramatic he reacts to sam using his skills. Sam has a logical reason to use them, save the person, kill the demon.
The other thing that drove me to almost stop watching this episode altogether, was the way that guy was eating. I realize it was for a reason but it's disgusting and truly makes me not to watch the rest of the episode.
Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star (2019)
Dull down
Season 1. Episode 1. 16 minutes in and I'm wondering why I even turned this on? No one wears their makeup like that. It's weird. These makeup looks would not make me want to go out and buy any products in which they were trying to sell. I'm just an old fashioned person who loves to watch beautiful things come to life. This is not it. Would not recommend
Sweet Magnolias (2020)
Emotional rollercoaster
From the first episode, I was entranced. Is it sappy and sickly sweet? Yes. But such a refreshing change of pace versus what we normally get. There are times when a few of the characters get on your bad side, but then that's how life is. You can't always be perfect, right? It leaves you wanting to watch the next episode and then the next episode. But then, they rip the rug right out from under you, with a cliffhanger ending to the season. I cannot wait for season 2 and pray they don't cancel the show.
Workin' Moms (2017)
Edited to change rating
Before:
really tried to give this show a go. But I just can't. The women are self-centered. Liars. Ugly. Horrible personalities. Unlikable. I can't say enough bad about this show that wouldn't be true. Just save yourself time and don't watch this stupid show. I'm shocked it's still even going.
Now:
Well, was going to finish watching the rest of what was available just to see them get what I felt they had coming. Guess what? I got hooked! I cannot believe how quick it went too! It gets better as the seasons progress. Can't wait for the next season. Now, with that being said, I still can't stand Jenny.
Falling Inn Love (2019)
Really horrible movie
The acting is horrible. The plot is predictable. The main character is very shallow and acts entitled. Her decision making is poor. For example, she gets mad because her suitcase starts rolling downhill and the main male character hits it, because duh, it's in the middle of the road. From the beginning of their interaction, she has a bad attitude towards him and is showing how horrible of a character she is right from the bat. Then, instead of taking him up on his offer to take her to town because the bus drops her off in no where land, her typical feminist answer is, I don't need a man to take care of me or save me, I can do that myself. *eyeroll*. So, from there, every time she sees him, she's rude and dismissive, until something brings them together where she has to work with him. Low and behold they fall in love, yadda yadda yadda. Predictable in every turn of the movie. And of course, she's a know it all even though she doesn't know anything. Would not recommend
The Room (2019)
Major spoilers and something that may have been missed
If you want to know about the movie and the plot holes and all the could have, would have, should have's above. This is strictly something I think a lot of people misconstrued at the end.
At the end, it shows her reading a pregnancy test that was positive. I'm pretty sure the baby would be Shane's, by the way that her reaction to the test was. And to clarify, how could the baby live outside of the room? The creator, Shane, has died, therefore, the baby can live.
Serial Killer with Piers Morgan (2017)
I'd rate lower if I could
Piers Morgan should not be allowed to interview people. The only thing this man does is try to get them to open up and confess and fails miserably. It's like he is trying to be the one that "cracks" the serial killers in to finally admitting they did it. The problem is, he is very disrespectful, condescending, and has poor questioning tactics. They should just delete this program from existence and call it a day.
Prank Encounters (2019)
So-so show
First, there's a review earlier that states the host is from super natural. No, he's from StrangerThings. I know that and I don't even watch that show. Now, for the show itself. Where to start? Acting: sub par. Feels really staged (obviously it is) but to the point that the one's being pranked feels like they are acting too. Some of the reactions are a little lackluster, making it feel as if they are in on the plot as well. Camera angles: honestly, there are times when the cameras look like they are right there with them and they know they are being filmed. Pranks: original pranks, funny, not believable at all. Overall, this show has some funny moments and is a great concept, although not an original concept, and passes the time. But very unbelievable
