I completely enjoyed it. Unexpected. Intriguing. Compelling. Well acted take. Took me on a creepy, monochromatic adventure. Sterilized for our enjoyment. Horrific, slow ride to hell.

I did a quick skim of the movie and felt I wasted every second watching this. Moody, weird, bizarre and unintelligible. If there's a plot, it's not apparent in anything I saw. If it has any meaning at all, I didn't see it. Makes Un Chien Andalou seem far, far more plot driven in comparison ( sarcasm intended ) and I love Un Chien Andalou and truly enjoyed seeing it. Begotten is a mistake in my book.

Come on, that is a reason to make a movie. just seeing the deadly stars shooting out of cute Japanese babes cute behinds. Any and ALL movies that feature shooting stars, shooting friggin stars out of their bottoms. man, I'm in love. I am now going to make a hundred movies where beautiful killers all shoot deadly shuriken stars out of their butts ! Did I say that they shoot deadly shuriken stars out of their butts ? How many movies have you seen where they shoot deadly shuriken stars out of their butts ? ..OK enough said.

Yes the movie has other plot points like a story which has the love and struggle between two sisters. the most important thing for me was, well you know.

OK, I hated Tenebrae, I thought it was junk. I absolutely loved Trauma. If you are looking for top-notch acting, nope not here. If you are looking for cheap Giallo / Thriller w/ a decent amount of splatter, YES ! The movie has the right amount of story and tension that kept me watching. It built up the pace just right and delivered schlocky campy Euro-inspired horror / thriller action right up to the end.

Asia was awesome and her flawed acting was perfect because it fit the campy nature of the genre. Perfect acting in that it all was flawed just right to fit by everyone. Sit back watch it and have a pizza, some vino and enjoy w/ a loved one on a dark stormy night. The ending was perfect for the film. Trash cinema at it's best.

Argento makes some good movies, some GREAT movies and some trash. This movie is trash IMO. Overly produced and poorly acted with a storyline that is hard to make sense. Argento just wanted to make a movie and use some cool whiz bang crane / dolly thingie and he did just that. The movie has some excellent camera work at times, everything is clear, in focus and well lit. All the acting is 3rd rate and as corny as it gets from the 80's The story must have been cobbled together on a dinner napkin during a drunken night of "brainstorming" or whatever. Disappointed it was barely watchable, I watched it because I'm a filmmaker myself ( who has never made anything worth watching yet ) and I wanted to study some techniques. If you are easily amused, this might keep you entertained.
