Amelia 2.0 (2017)
Beautiful, touching an thought-provoking
Decided to take a look at this movie, just to see if if it was "any good", and I was pulled in and emotionally invested.
So many angles from which to view this, possible, future reality. I'm still processing it.
Once thing that I find very strange, is how this wonderful actress, Angela Billman, who played Amelia, is not in more movies. She is able to grab your heart, and does such an amazing job portraying the innocence, the confusion, the heartbreak.
This isn't an action flick, or really even a sci-fi movie. It's a romance wrapped up in a morality play.
I'm glad I took the chance and watched it.
All Superheroes Must Die (2011)
I enjoyed it
I just finished the movie, and I must say that I enjoyed it. It's not the greatest movie in the world, by any means, but it kept my interest.
I enjoyed the slow reveal, but I do wish there had been a clearer explanation of their various powers... for example, I never understood what The Wall's abilities were.
If you enjoy character-driven comics, and don't expect "The Avengers" on a $20,000 budget, then you might like it as well. I thought the costumes were well done, and the interaction between the characters was handled very well.
I also think that Lucas Till, as Cutthroat, and Sophie Merkley, as Shadow, could play roles as superheroes in any other movie. They definitely looked the part.
