Decent.
8 June 2006
The story is a cool concept, but the choices for the acting's sake weren't cool at all. Ja Rule was an ignorant cocky character but Seagul was actual very likable. I felt as though this film doesn't get the respect it deserves because Steven Seagul was in it. The dialogue was mediocre, some parts though were really random though. The scene where "Twitch" blows up the door seemed dumb. As well as the scene where Steve and Morris fight in the chains. And did anyone else notice that no one ever hit the bullets they shot? Anyway, the female who played the Supreme Court Justice member was actually enjoyable to watch.

All in all, Half Past Dead is just mindless fun, pretty good.

Such high expectations, such low outcome...
21 May 2006
Being a huge fan of QT before the Kill Bill series, I was ecstatic when I heard that QT was making another film. I watched Kill Bill Vol 1, didn't love it, the only reason that kept myself from hating was Uma. Then, I gave Vol. 2 a shot, not the best. The only thing I enjoyed in this film was Bill, and the last parts of dialogue between Bill and Kiddo. I felt the cast wasn't well chosen, the action scenes were mediocre, and the dialogue was decent. My ratings for previous QT films were: Reservoir Dogs (10/10), Pulp Fiction (10/10), Jackie Brown (8/10). My ratings for these two films: Vol 1 (3/10), Vol 2 (4/10) A Huge Disappointment.

Funny.
7 May 2006
Why no love on IMDb? I couldn't tell you.

All I could tell is I thought that this film was hilarious. Cedric the Entertainer was the one comedy that stood out the most for me. But they were all good. You can't base this film off anything more than the performances themselves, and the performances were good. Now, I don't think that these guys are the Original Kings of Comedy, but they are still funny. Between the backstage action, just seeing the guys interacting with each other, and the fans interactions, I give this film a 8 out of 10.

RIP TG.

A Film Well Worth the Wait.
30 April 2006
Finally! A film pulling apart the tragedy of 9/11.

I'll promise everyone that there will be films to come about 9/11 trying to overachieve Unite 93, and they will fail miserably.

This film is quite impressive considering the obstacles the film had to take to make it. Such obstacles as new actors and actresses to Hollywood, the controversy of what had happened in the plane itself, etc.

I was truly moved from this film, the acting was good, the story was good, the movie was good.

B+ 9/10

Julius Caesar (1953)

Marlon Brando was the film...
20 April 2006
A solid film. Well executed, good actors, good script (obviously), but yes it is slow. Marlon Brando, who played Julius Caesar's right-hand man, excelled as character Marc Antony. The most notable part scene of this film was very after Julius was murdered by Brutus and the conspirators. Marc Antony's "Friends, Romans, Countrymen" speech was perfectly executed, and it is my favorite Marlon Brando moment (behind Godfather). Rent this film, and even if this film was a flawless gem, I would still suggest the work on paper by Shakespeare first. I also suggest James Mason, who stars as Brutus in the film. He played the role of Brutus extremely well and my hat's off to him. You need patience for a film like Julius Caesar, one of my favorite's of 1953.

Jason X (2001)

The Worst Scary Movie of All-Time
27 February 2006
Jason X is the worst scary movie of all-time. I honestly laughed more than I was afraid. This film is embarrassing, to say the least. I would comment on how awful the ending was, but I left 30 minutes into the film. Though consistently the same, "the Jason films" have always been some-what satisfying, but this film is a disgrace to scary movies of all kinds. I've seen pornography with more satisfying acting, and story lines than Jason X. I honestly feel sorry for anyone who was even tempted to cover their eyes at one point in this film. I soon discovered what the ending was, but I'm not going to tell you because it was so embarrassing, I just can't go on with this review. Awful.

Casino (1995)

Scorsese strikes again with this must-see classic.
27 February 2006
Martin Scorsese strikes again with this raunchy classic about the Italian mob taking over the city of Las Vegas. De Niro excels as he plays 'Ace' Rothstein, a classy business man, who throughout the movie gains success and popularity which soon leads to his downfall. Pesci plays tough guy Nicky Santoro, who has more of an old fashion way of solving problems, but none the less, gains power and succeeds throughout this film. Sharon Stone was a flawless gem in this film. Sharon stole every scene if it was with her laughing, crying, sobbing or living it up. Casino is the most enjoyable film on the 90's, a must-see classic.
