2 episodes in! Very hooked, This is what I expect to see as a mini series!
I had no idea about it and went in blind. This surprised me. The acting, the cinematography and the flow of the story is authentic and genuine. I do not know if this is completely true to the reality story, but it is very hooking for sure. Episode 2 was epic, the acting and the conflict between cultures, portrayed genuinely. "Heisenberg" looking guy won me over!
2 episodes in and I am getting 2 perspectives of the story with it moving forward, I can only assume it is going to get better. The only thing I hate about series/shows these days is they are either too 'teenage-ish' or too unrealistic.
I would definitely rate this a solid 9/10 for the 2 episodes I have seen. Let's see how it goes!
Thang 5 De Danh (2019)
Something relatable yet fresh and heart-warming!
Unlike others who had read the book and waited for this movie, I am from Vietnam and I hadn't hear about the book. Going in blind into this movie, I can say I found it pretty sweet and cute.
Unlike cheesy drama and high-fi dresses and colorful scenes, the movie did good keeping itself real and nostalgic. The story may not be unique but it surely is worth it.
I didn't see the end coming it that way which makes it different from other romantic movies. If you are into 'real' and 'ordinary' lifestyle of Asian students in majority in addition to a sweet and heart-warming story, this is the place.
You will not regret it. Give it a try!
Nalssiga joeumyeon chajagagesseoyo (2020)
Slow, deep and very different taste!
This show is definitely not for everyone. I had enough patience and interest to start this and it was all worth it. No unnecessary dialogues at all in this show! There was silence with meaning every time and it was felt very deep. It shows the reality of life we have.
There is no action and drama and adventure in our lives. We all have simple lives with simple problems. Yet, this show showed such little emotions so beautifully.
Shyness, reading books, forgiveness, expectations, love, family, past, regrets, memories and crushes. These are our lives and this show shows how beautiful our life can get.
This show will probably be one of the few shows that have inspired me to change my life. I encourage everyone who are searching meaning and who think simple life ain't much fun to watch it. You never know, what change it might bring in you!
