Samaritan (2022)
Original Enough For Streaming
You need a special type of 12 year old to play a lead like this in this type of movie.
Was this it? No. Underwhelming by a horrible haircut and bad acting.
But can a 70+ year old play a super? HELL YES!
Sylvester was a class act. CGI wasn't terrible for streaming. Super abilities coming from Sylvester looked natural.
Writing, good. Plot, good. Directing, decent.
I have no clue where these bad scores are coming from. Are they looking for a romance novel movie? Did they not watch the trailer?
For Amazon to go up against Marvel, DC, and all the rest of the M Knight nonsense. Good for them. They picked the right script.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Knowing the Future
The only redeeming thing about this show (because they've wrecked about 14 different things from A New Hope which now make zero sense), is knowing that in 10 years of Star Wars time, 99.8% of these characters will be dead.
Why did they hire Kamala Harris to be the villainous lead in a show about Obi-Wan?
Ice Cube's kid was great in a movie where he got to play his dad. THAT'S IT.
I never thought it would be possible to hate Princess Leia. Thanks Disney!
James Earl Jones needs to sue Disney so they stop using his voice. It's turned into a tragedy.
Now, back to the future.
I hope episode 6 shows Vader and Kenobi killing everyone in the entire show. Aside from chronologically killing the franchise, this would be one aspect to MAYBE draw me in for another series.
All the characters won't exist soon anyway.
Dune (2021)
Boring but... Nope. Just boring.
I didn't think they could make anything more boring than the original with hundreds of millions of dollars, but here we are.
Boring. Sleep. Snore. Drop popcorn. Wake up and be mad I wasted an equal amount of money on the movie ticket and the popcorn.
Y: The Last Man: Weird Al Is Dead (2021)
Cry about men, even when they are all dead
I made it this far, probably because I'm an idiot. But I just don't understand what the writers are thinking.
This entire episode is about how much you hate men, the emotional grief we cause you on a daily basis, and how much we value ourselves and not you. There's just one thing wrong with this.
IN THE SHOW WE ARE ALL DEAD!!! What is the point of spending 40 minutes crying about something that's gone and you presume you'll never see again? In show time, it's been months! You have years worth of comic books to draw inspiration, yet you keep with these liberal talking points to appease who? Producers? Big money liberals?
My God you're ruining all art in this world.
I'm not asking for you to make things my way either, just make things entertaining.
Complete crap of an episode.
Masters of the Universe: Revelation: The Forge at the Forest of Forever (2021)
And he's back!...oh wait. No. Still lousy.
Now I know Kevin Smith reads user reviews.
This makes me so happy, that I had to write another one.
After killing off He-Man in episode 1, we get Adam back with a 10 minute Act which explains why he didn't become tree food. Yay for us right? But oh no. Here comes Kevin Smith's horrible writing to END the main character again in a matter of seconds. Snoogins'.
This is just a childish way to get back at every legit bad review after episode 2 that popped this garbage down to 5 stars.
Thank Kevin. You are a lifelong study on how weed kills brain cells.
Don't do drugs kids. Just laugh at them when they make stupid movies and shows.
