The Conjuring 2 (2016)
Not bad for a James wan movie. A good follow up
Yeah, skipping Annabelle for now since, at least on my account, it isn't out on Netflix yet at the time I'm writing this. Off to the review: The Conjuring 2 improves on its predecessor with a more gripping story, ratcheting up the tension and scares, better performances, improved blend of scary moments and quiet moments and a genuinely menacing villain. To cut a long story short, this third entry in the franchise avoids reiterating the same information as its direct predecessor and creates an atmospheric, exhilarating horror-thriller that enhances its direct predecessor's merits just the way a sequel should.
Io non ho paura (2003)
An interesting movie
Confident, engaging and charmingly unique- a real success and a great example of the strengths of Italian cinema. Visually its a triumph and yet that never overshadows the other elements on display here- its steady pacing, strong performances, intriguing plot and touching script. The pacing and general demeanour of this one won't appeal to everyone but it holds up against that criticism with its subtle yet constant developments that lead to bursts of emotional power at the most unexpected of times, whilst nothing breaks the rules or boundaries of the tone that it sets itself. It maybe runs on a little long- simply slightly repetitive at times but its always moving forward. It's a smart mix of genres with some cerebral chills to keep you excited in between the striking realism of the film's portrayal of childhood and the light-hearted tone that keeps us up when the darker elements are at bay. This film is as hot as its setting- very.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
MY BEST TILL TODAY
This is everything i ever wanted in this movie, and i didnt even know I wanted most of it. Real tear-jerker at times, and when you laugh its not forced. Its a three-hour epic but it feels like half that time. I can genuinely say that this is my favorite movie of all time. Congratulations, Marvel. This cannot be beaten.
Lupt (2018)
Well made clean horror movie.
Lupt is a film with a modest budget, but packs a punch with the acting, scares, plot twists and innovative ideas in terms of horror.
