Star Wars: Tales of the Empire (2024)
Not as good as TOTJ... but not bad either!
Yes.. after watching this show, I realized that I enjoyed Tales Of The Jedi, more! I think the biggest reason for that, was the characters they focused on! Dooku and Ahsoka are great and appeals to a broader audience, compared to Morgan Elsebeth and Bariss Offee!
It was nice to know more about these character, what happenrd to them and their motivations! However I was not as invested in their story as I was with Dooku and Ahsoka! I would even say I was a bit disapointed with Bariss's arc, which started strong and then got more confusing!
The show however still have its strong moments! Its dark and mature with a memorable, sinister atmosphere at times! I mean.. people are getting murdered and slaughtered in this show!
The visuals are great too! Its not Clone Wars season 7, but some scenes looked really good!
Star Wars: Tales of the Empire: Devoted (2024)
The strongest episode!
This episode was my favorite when watching this show! It had the right amount of elements i expected when I heard about it, and I think Bariss Offee is a much more interesting character than Morgan Elsebeth!
This one picks up as Barriss experiences Order 66 from her prison cell, where she has been since the last time we saw her in The Clone Wars!
The tone was dark and I really enjoyed seeing her transformation! She is confronted by The Darkness and she can either embrace it or perrish!
Nice to see some Set pieces from Jedi: Fallen Order! It reminds you that the universe is bigger than the movies and TV shows!
The last scene was incredible! He does not need to speak... his pressence alone is enough to make you tremble!
Star Wars: Tales of the Empire: The Path of Anger (2024)
Connecting dots!
Since the first time we saw Morgan, was in Mando season two, it makes sense to show us, how she got to that planet, as well as how she went from a nightsister, to a servant of the empire!
If you have seen Star Wars rebels, there will be some things that will appear familiar to you in this episode! A certain character provided with a great final scene, that stands out to me the most with memorable dialogue!
You can see how much Morgan is consumed by hate and vengence! The events on Dathomir left a deep scar within her, that might never heal! All she can see is darkness!
The visuals are great too and the animation is pleasant to look at!
Star Wars: Tales of the Empire: The Path of Fear (2024)
The first half steals everything!!
This was a nice first episode, that offered some great action and visuals!
The origin of Morgan Elsebeth was very nice done in my opinion! Just oike Ventress, her whole life went upside down, when Grievous invaded Dathomir!
Grievous was incredible in this episode! Some of the best fights and scenes with him! He was frightning and terrorfying, just like you fell like he should be! His fight was also very well animated!
The dathomir invasion were the best, no doubt! The rest of the episode wasn't quite as good or memorable, but thats just cause the opening was so good!
Morgan Elsebeth is not the most known or interesting character, but I respect them for letting us explore her more!
Shôgun: Broken to the Fist (2024)
Culture and tradition!
This show continues to impres me, delivering episodes that always makes me feel different than the episode i had just watched! Every episode is a new experience, as you deeper into the characters and the time period!
This episode gives us a much deeper inside into the culture of Japan at this time, as well as the traditions! We clearly see how different they are from the culture and traditions in England. And how much Blackthorne still struggles to adapt and understand their way of living!
The Dinner scene was great! It was a combination of intensity, humor and drama! The actors really nailed it!
Mariko is also starting to become one of my favorite characters as I realized how much pain and hate she holds back!
Boku no hîrô akademia: In the Nick of Time! A Big-Time Maverick from the West! (2024)
Perhaps the best opening episode!
This episode surprised me with how great it was, and compared to most of the other seasons, we are thrown right into the action and conflict, wasting very little time!
Last season was the most solid from beginning to end, and it feels like this season is gonna continue the greatness, picking up where we left off!
Star and Stripe is a great new addition and I feel like they put a lot of effort into her! She is very well animated and the action with her looked really good! Overall the animation amd visuals were really good with a lot of smooth scenes!
The Openening was a BANGER and might be one of my favorite MHA openings! However its no surprise since TK always delivers!
Shôgun: The Eightfold Fence (2024)
Do you know about "The Eightfold Fence?"
This episode was my favorite one thus far, with some great development, exploration and deepening of characters. As well as some gorgeous settings and scenes!
This one gave us some great development on Mariko, as she slowly starts to open up, remimding us that you can never know what is going inside peoples heads, who they are and whether you know their goals!
This episode really gave me a feeling that perhaps we dont know everyone as well as we think we do, especially after the brutal last scene, that left me with no clue on what to expect next!
The visuals and settings were beautifull! I almost felt like i was transported to most captivating locations of rural Japan! This show really nails the tone and message and never feels like it is compromising!
X-Men '97: Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 1 (2024)
The finale episodes kicks off hard!
With each week, this show proves why it is the next big thing when it comes to Marvel projects! Rarely have I seen a first season of a show with THIS much love, care and quality!
This had a ton of great and memorable moments! Our favorite characters got to shine, with some breathtaking action, and memorable dialogue!
The writting in this show is very solid! Other shows have proved it too, but this show proves why writting is so important!
Magneto also shines in this episode! I really love his development!
The villain is great too! He feels like a real threat, with a goal more complex than I thought!
The ending was insane!!! I feel like no matter how good this episode is... its just the beginning!
Star Wars: The Bad Batch: The Cavalry Has Arrived (2024)
A finale that delivered!
I must admit, i was a bit worried that they wouldn't stick the landing with this show, cause we only got build-up in the previous episodes!
However.. I was proved wrong! This episode had everything I wanted and expected, delivering a thrilling and emotional farewell to this show, and the journey of clone force 99!
This episode had some amazing action, and scenes i will remember for a long time! We see the culmination of all they have been through, capturing the core of the show: the clones putting Omega before themselves! It was brilliant and it was satisfying!
The final scene was beautifull and had me really emotional, in the best way possible!
The ending means a lot to a shows legacy, and I feel the legacy of this show is secured with this episode!
Shôgun: Tomorrow Is Tomorrow (2024)
The intensity grows!
With each episode, this show has me more and more invested, as the story keeps evolving, leaving you eager to see what will happen in the next episode!
This show is quality TV, there can be no doubt about that! Every scene is something to admired! This is the kind of love and care, every production should have!
The characters are also growing on me! Blackthorne only gets better, as he slowly starts to embrace the culture, and earns the respect of Toranaga! Toranaga is equally great, and I am thrilled to see what his plan really is!
This episode contained more action, and I thought it was very well done, from choeography, to directing!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Ichioku no Otoko! Sekai Saikou Kenryoku to Kaizoku Kurohige (2003)
So many great moments!
This episode is the one that does not waste anytime at all! After i watched i realized how great the pacing was, as it moved from one great scene to another and before I knew it.. the episode was over!
First half was amazing! Luffy vs Bellamy was nothing like i imagined, but still so satisfying to watch! This was Luffy at his best! He can be so intimedating if he wants to, sending chills down your spine!
Second half was equally great in its own way, showing us the top of the ones in charge, introducing us to a lot of new characters that will play major roles later on!
In the end we learn the identity of the guy Luffy met some episodes ago, who says that "dreams never die". Yeah that was a great twist!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Kaizoku no Takami! Yume o Kataru Otoko to Kaitei Tansaku Ou (2003)
Dont stop dreaming!
I have no idea why this episode has a score of 7.7? While the last part was not as interesting, the first half of the episode was great!
Much like the previous episode, this episode sees Luffy dealing with Belamy, who attacks his ideology! However he meets another pirate who tells him what It means to be a pirate! A pirate never stops dreaming! It was such a significante, short and effective monologue that reminds the viewer what they show is essentialy all about and what Luffy stands for!
From pure dialogue alone, that one scene is one of my favorite so far! This episode deserves more attention!
Shôgun: Servants of Two Masters (2024)
It only gets better!
This episode has me convinced, that this show is wort watching, as it only improves the aspects from the first episode, adding more development, thrills and excitement to a historical and authentic experience!
What really strikes me is how good this show looks! It has a unique style, visuals, setting and an overall feeling that tve people making this show. Is very passionate about the story they are telling! Some scenes looks cinematic, straight from a movie!
The complexity of the story only reaches new heights, as we further explore the political struggle for power, and who will essentialy rule Japan!
The japanese actors are amazing and manages to capture their historical figures!
Please watch this show, its something that stands out from a lot of TV produced these days!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Yume o Miruna! Azakeri no Machi Mock Town! (2003)
Great character moments!
This episode sees our crew arrive at Jaya, with all the chananigins that could accompany that!
The episode was both funny, subtle and had some really memorable moments and scenes that actually materef more than I thought!
Bellamy made for a detastable character and his scene with Luffy really hit hard!
Following your dreams have always been the core of One Piece! Believing in your dreams, no matter what other people tell you!
Luffy's reaction to Bellamy's speech, was perfect! You can tell how much he holds back, cause that all he can do, and he knows!
Luffy also meats another "major character"
X-Men '97: Bright Eyes (2024)
Rogue gets to shine!
One thing I love about this show, is how much love and care they dedicate to the side characters! Whenever someone thinks about X men, they usually think off Charles, Magneto and Wolverine! However this show, gives a lot of development to the minor characters like, Jean, storm and in this case.. Rogue!
Her development after the events of episode 5 makes perfect sense! The last scene with her in that episode, was a heartbreaking moment, so now we see her in a vengefull state, with one clear goal!
Great moments with other characters as well, and a surprissing cameo that fits the episode rather than feeling shoe-horned!
Amazing animation and visuals! The action never dissapoint and only seem to improve!
The ending sets up an exciting last part of the season! If they nail it, this could be contender for best first season of a TV show, best animated superhero show and one of thf best Marvel projects!
Hannibal: Mizumono (2014)
This finale was the best, TV has ever offered!!
An absolutely crazy experience! I almost feel numb.. unable to move or do anything, only think about all the things i just witnessed! Being left amazed and heartbroken at the same time!
The first episode gave away what is gonna happen, however the build-up towards it was unclear, giving us a tense first half of the episode, as you just wait for everything to explode and come crashing down!
The second half was an experience that deserves the highest praise imaginable! It was like dominos.. falling, revealing one crazy event after another!
This was the relationship between Will and Hannibal being put to the ULTIMATE test! This is where we see them both at their most vulnerable moment! Mads Mikkelsen was incredible as Hannibal! I LOVED the scene where he declairs his true feelings for Will! It was heartbreaking!
This was PEAK Hannibal and some of the finest TV you can ask for!
Hannibal: Tome-wan (2014)
I had to look away!
This episode was a wild journey and a perfect set-up for the finale! However thid episode also contained the most brutal, stomachturning and crazy scene yet!
This episode proves just how complex the relationship between Hannibal and Will! Its nothing like your usual relationship and therefore it is clear that you should not expect the usual outcome! After all this time, they are more intertwined... than friends.. or foes!
The final scene with Mason was.. yeah go see it for yourself! Mason has proved himself very unlikeable at this point, so it was a treat to see Hannibal go all out and show just how dark his tendensies can be!
This last scene also marks an important point in the relationship between Will and Hannibal!
Hannibal: Yakimono (2014)
Just as planned!
The only one who knows how things will play out... is Hannibal! No more than this episode, do you realize that all this was his design, and this is the outcome he wanted, once again manipulating those around him!
The discovery of the previous episode plays a major role, as does the interactions between Hannibal and Frederick Chilton! Right when things seem to go one way, something else happens!
This was the finale of the first half of the season, and feels like the culmination of the previous episodes! The shocking moments are here, and I was still left surprised, despite having an idea of what would happen!
Hannibal: Futamono (2014)
Another episode that proves why this show is a must watch!
This was another gripping experience, with surprising development and a shocking end!
Mads Mikkelsen continues to capture Hannibal really well! To me he was really cold and sinister, especially in that "Dinner scene" with Gideon, that almodt felt like an out of body experience, do to how.. extreme it was!
Jack also starts to feel that things may not be quite what they seem, which leads to some great scenes with him and Hannibal, who always seem one step ahead!
The ending was shocking and proved to me, that you should expect anything from this show! This was another masterclass episode of television!
Hannibal: Mukozuke (2014)
The way things evolve..
Another great episode that pretty much had me on edge the entire time, cause I felt like the episode was over really fast!
Once again this show, does its own thing, presenting things to us, that no other show have managed to do quite like this, or quite as effectively!
I dont think any other show could pull of a death scene like this! It leaves you both horrorfied, shocked and yet... you also admire it!
The mindgames continue and the dialogue is just brilliant! Fascinating and intrigueging to see who outsmarts who!
The ending was great, thrilling and gives q sense of far Will has come and how far he is willing to go!
Hannibal: Takiawase (2014)
A story of life and death!
This was a thoughtprovoking experience, with themes and commentary that ended up sticking with me after the episode ended!
I felt like this was a story of life and how to meet peace when it ends! This was captured, both through the killer, as well as the return of Bella, who is terminaly ill, and knows that death will come, but not when or where! This was about taking "pain away" and how only death could provide true comfort!
The stuff with Hannibal was amazing too, as he only gets more and more sinister and scary! That ending was thrilling and nailbiting, even if I know it can only have one outcome!
Hannibal: Sakizuke (2014)
Horrorfying art!
The opening scene was really gruesome and hard to watch! This proves how season 2 is no less dark, gory og stomachturning, than season 1!
Hannibal once again gets the best scenes and moments! The scenes with him and the "mural-killer" as well as the ones with De Maurie, was the ones that stood out the clearest, as they capture Hannibal perfectly in my opinion! His intimidating, almost threatening presence, and his unorthodox taste in art qnd details!
Will also gets more to do as he tries to solve the murder, and hopes that Beverly might trust him and suspect Hannibal!
Overall a strong second episode in a season that only gets better!
Hannibal: Kaiseki (2014)
Continues the high quality!
Season kicks off with one hell of a sequence that shows, that this season will end with an absolut insane episode!
The rest of the episode is great too as Will is confined and tries to remember what happened doing his black-out with Abigail! You can also tell how distant he has become from the others, cause of how they treat him! Hannibal continues to play his game!
The murders are also memorable once you realize what the killer is doing! Disturbing scene at the end!
Gillian Andersons character also had some memorable moments as she starts to suspects that Hannibal might not tell everything as they are!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Hajimari wa Ano Hi! Vivi ga Kataru Boukentan! (2002)
A sign of friendship!
Wow! I have never felt so emotional looking at single frame before! This was the core of the show, portrayed in such a powerfull way that I could not hold back my tears! This was the culmination of the entire journey so far!
What has always held these characters together? FRIENDSHIP! They love and respect each other! One telling the other that, that person is your friend, is the greatest thing you can do!
The finale scene will forever stay with me! It was tears as I realized just how much these characters and their bond, ment to me! When the OP 1 kicked in, i just could not help myself!
Bon-Clay also got a great scene, capturing that same sense of unity and friendship!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Koeteiku! Arabasta ni Ame ga Furu! (2002)
OUTSTANDING EPISODE!
Wow! This was a climactic episode, that was build-up over this whole arc! This was the stuff that the people from Toei was saving up in terms of quality!
Everything in this episode worked! It was an emotional, tense and satisfying experience! 23min not wasted a bit all the way from Vivi screaming for peace, to Luffy going beyond against Crocodile, to the emotional end!
The soundtrack was strangely good! The soundtrack used for the finale fight worked surprisingly well and elevated the whole experience to the point where I had to go back and see it again!
Please go treat yourself with this incredible experience!
