If I'd read some of these reviews beforehand I might have been put off (but you quickly see they clearly haven't actually watched the film most of them, or at least not all of it), but I'd read the proper reviews so thought I'd give it a go. (I saw their last film too, so knew it'd be a slow-burn story that requires more attention that most!).

I'll just reiterate what some of the others have said in that this is a low-budget movie shot on a phone - so know what you're getting.

I LOVED what they'd done (just the two of them!) and I find it massively inspiring to see young filmmakers do something of this quality, with this level of intelligence (which, by the way, you'll need to watch it, they don't dumb things down and hand it all to you on a plate).

You've got to put the work in when you're watching, but that's good filmmaking, they don't pander to the few people who aren't going to make the effort in figuring things out.

Not everything is explained, and that's partly because this is (according to interviews with the filmmakers) part of a larger project that they've been working on for a while. So this is a taster of the bigger world, which I can't wait to see!

But if that doesn't appeal, just don't watch it! Very simple.

After Infinity I was kinda glum about the Marvel universe. Don't get me wrong it's an amazing movie and I won't put any spoilers here of that movie, but if you've seen it you know what I mean.

And Ant-Man and the Wasp was the perfect side step in the same universe but that reminded me things can be fun too!

Always a pleasure to watch Paul Rudd do his thing, and it's a real nice film all together.

Nothing spectacular but a good movie to watch to put you in a good mood.

Thought i'd watch this again because all the weird press for the Will Smith version is around and it made me nostalgic for the real thing.

And it's just so so good! There is nothing wrong with this movie except that it ends.

It's pure enjoyment from start to finish and absolute escapism for people of every age.

This will be a movie that I now return to whenever things are getting me down!

It's not a terrible movie like a lot of people are saying, not at all.

But it feels unfinished. Like they had too many ideas and couldn't decide which way to go with things, so they tried it all. And what could have been a modern classic turned into a movie that I probably won't remember in a few months.

And that's a shame.

This was really enjoyable.

Not what I expected, and I fear advertising as a horror may mislead some people, but if you know what to expect (which is why I'm writing this), then you're in for a treat.

It's more thriller than anything else. In fact if you look at what the filmmakers call it, a mythalogical folk tale, that's far more accurate than saying it's pure horror.

Don't get me wrong, it's creepy as hell, but in such a clever way, and it stays with you long after you leave the theatre. I'd happily watch it again, and maybe i'd change my score to higher now that I know what kind of movie it is.

This is more the fault of how it (and so many movies these days), is being billed. Say it's a straight horror, although the movie critics all tell it like it is, and you'll think you've been swindled.

Think of it as an intelligent thriller with an undertone of a ghost story, and you'll be thrilled...pun intended. Just make you own mind up, but look into what it is first!
