The Wind Blows Where It Wishes
The story of laconic young Hebrew-speaking art-world iconoclast Carla Durkow, who has come from Istanbul to present her film at a Philadelphia gallery. Her film is shown in its entirety and takes over the narrative. It is a black and white period-piece melodrama about the funeral of a famous Poet and his village which gathers to mourn him. An number of odd characters show up at the funeral including the Hermit and Spiritual Master Evagrios the Solitary (who is also the Poet's twin brother), a Princess and a band of Nihilists. Things quickly spiral out of control as the Poet's will is read.
