- FOLLOW THE LEADER charts the lives of sixteen-year-old high school class presidents Ben (The Loyalist from Virginia), D.J. (The Believer from Massachusetts) and Nick (The Idealist from Pennsylvania) - three traditional boys who plan to continue leading their peers as President someday. Over three life-changing years, they split into Republican, Democratic and Independent camps as each reconsiders his lofty ambitions. Growing up at a critical moment for America as well, their lives also force us all to rethink our assumptions about tomorrow's leaders, the impact of 9/11 on them, and the political views of the millennial generation...which are more complex (and more conservative) than most people currently believe. As shocking as "Jesus Camp," as revealing as "American Teen," and as funny as "Spellbound" - FOLLOW THE LEADER is the true story of what change means for three young leaders who feel destined to lead the world.
- In 1929, celebrated journalist Lady Grace Drummond-Hay was invited to take part in the first round-the-world flight of a commercial airship, the LZ-127 Graf Zeppelin. Recently widowed from a man 50 years her senior and bored to tears with covering ladies fashion, Lady Grace leaped at the chance to be the only woman onboard one of the media sensations of the decade. At journey's end she returned to America a star, thanks to her good looks and gutsy charm. But her reports on the ship's travels for the front pages of the Hearst press empire only told part of the story. In her diary she recorded a far more intimate journey-her struggle to get over her secret affair with shipmate, mentor, and married man Karl von Wiegand. Combining spectacular archival footage of the journey across New York, Siberia, Tokyo, and the Pacific with narration drawn from Drummond's articles and her private journals, this sweeping black and white documentary stands as a vision of technological marvels and global hope in that narrow window between world wars when everything seemed possible except true love.
- Three expats learning to drive realize that the great challenge is not the strange traffic rules (in their new countries(, but rather their ingrained behavioral patterns. They all need a driving license somewhat urgently. While taking lessons and trying to pass their tests, they realize how their cultures are entirely in their way. Their confusion over driving on the right or left side of the road, waving hand-signals or clicking are just the beginning of their 'comedy of errors'.
