David Lynch took to social media to tease something for June 5.
In a cryptic post shared on X, the micro-blogging platform formerly known as Twitter, the filmmaker surprised his followers with a video announcement.
“Ladies and gentlemen, something is coming along…. for you to see and hear,” Lynch said in the video posted on Memorial Day, May 25. “And it will be coming along on June 5.”

The director’s last television series, Twin Peaks: The Return, wrapped in 2017 on Showtime.
Lynch did not indicate what he was talking about, but earlier this year, he told Deadline that he hoped to find backers for an animated project.
Lynch began working on the script for Snootworld two decades ago with former Tim Burton collaborator Caroline Thompson, who wrote projects including The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, and the 1991 film The Addams Family.

Warner Bros. unveiled the first full trailer for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice this past Thursday, and it gave us a much better idea of what to expect from Tim Burton's long-awaited sequel.
The teaser begins with Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder) returning to Winter River with her mother Delia (Catherine O'Hara) and daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega) for her father's funeral (confirming reports that Jeffrey Jones' Charles Deetz has been killed off), when memories of her encounter with lecherous demon Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton) resurface.
Lydia explains what happened all those years ago to Astrid, who proceeds to say the Ghost with the Most's name three times, summoning him back to the land of the living.
The trailer features our first look at Betelgeuse's ex-wife Delores (Monica Bellucci), and one quick shot reveals that she is missing a finger. This is almost certainly a call-back to an infamous scene from the original movie, which...

New trailer for ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ sees the poltergeist summoned back into the land of the living, and this time he’s come with a bigger plan and he’s no longer haunting just a family. Guess what? He’s got a whole town, and perhaps even the whole world, to play with. Uh-oh is right.
Trailer For ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ Shows Jenna Ortega’s Astrid Summon the Ghost
You-know-who is back. No, I don’t mean Voldemort. I’m talking about the other one.
The Tim Burton-directed sequel is almost here, with Michael Keaton returning as the ghastly poltergeist that scares, jokes, and, if you can imagine it, even flirts.
Fans fell in love with the comedy when it dropped in 1988 and they’re already restless to see this sequel, which hits theaters on September 6.

Val Kilmer has many iconic projects to his name. Whether it was 1986’s Top Gun, 1991’s The Doors, or 1993’s True Romance, the actor somehow shone bright in every role he played on the screen. He even starred as the Batman himself in Tim Burton’s Batman Forever (1995). Clearly, Val Kilmer’s filmography is filled to the brim with some of the most unforgettable titles of all time.
Batman Forever (1995) | Tim Burton Productions
Despite all this, Val Kilmer has one regret in his exceptional career – not building himself a particular identity in the film industry, as many actors have done. Giving an example of actors like Johnny Depp and Tom Hanks, Val Kilmer deep dived into this major regret.

This post contains spoilers for "Metropolis" and Tim Burton's "Batman."
The colossal Gotham Cathedral, which stands more than 800 feet tall and towers over every other skyscraper in Gotham, is turned into a battleground towards the end of Tim Burton's "Batman." The director's distinct, often eccentric visual aesthetic directly informs the film's moody, noir-tinted visuals, the atypical camera angles and editing choices adding more palpable depth to the climactic Gotham Cathedral confrontation between Batman (Michael Keaton) and Joker (Jack Nicholson).
The cathedral's massive gargoyles, traditional symbols of warding off evil, take on new meaning as Joker toys with journalist Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger), who is forced to climb the rickety steps and play along with Joker's twisted game. There are many reasons why this scene feels singular — be it Batman stumbling over the pews and knocking them in his weakened, vulnerable state or the Joker dropping Vicki's shoe down the...

Sometimes horror filmmakers go far from merely scaring the audience by shocking images and loud sounds and turn their films into pure art. These visuals are often beyond the imaginable limits as they both please the eye and creep you out even more.
Here are 7 horrors, picked by Reddit due to their outstanding visual part.
1. The Cell (2000)
Indeed, this sci-fi horror “was a visual feast”, as voiced by Redditor @Matthew-_-Black. The story of a comatose serial killer put in an experimental virtual reality treatment in order to locate his last victim is here enhanced by sleek futuristic design elements.
2. Mandy (2018)
Nicolas Cage’s flick about an enraged man on his journey towards bloody revenge is full of spectacular depictions of a nightmarish cult life and their supernatural and psychedelic experience. It’s highly praised for its unique red-colored visual style.
3. Suspiria (1977)
“It's so vivid and colorful,” admits @BrokeFartFountain about Dario Argento's cultish film.

Ab 12.

After a stellar 1989, the Hollywood box office of 1990 was expected to be even better – but the film industry got taught some tough lessons.
Browsing the worldwide box office charts for 1989, and many a major studio executive would have been stroking their chin with some degree of comfort. The same old was working. The new things were working. Everything was getting better. The Christmas party was clearly going to be on the impressive side.
What 1989 had proven, after all, was the growing feeling that big stuff worked too. Tim Burton’s Batman had firmly introduced the idea of the huge opening weekend at the box office, and that a movie could become a cultural phenomenon. That patrons would leave the cinema and promptly seek out the soundtrack, the computer game, the book, the T-shirt, the novelty undercrackers.
But it wasn’t just Batman. 1989 proved to Hollywood that, for the most part,...

The trailer for Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice 2 has recently been released, and fans cannot help but be extremely excited for the renewal of the classic. The film brings back all of the cast from the 1988 classic, and the charm of the original film lives on in its sequel. That said, criticism for any new project that takes from the past is inevitable, and Burton’s latest reveal has not been spared.

Winona and Jenna, together at last.
On Thursday, Warner Bros. released the full trailer for Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice 2” – officially known as “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” – giving fans their first look at Gen X’s goth teen icon Winona Ryder and Gen Z’s goth teen icon Jenna Ortega on screen together in the sequel to the 1988 horror comedy.
The new trailer brings back the trailercore version of “Day-o (The Banana Boat Song)” from first teaser, plus better looks at Ryder as now-adult goth Lydia Deetz, Ortega as her daughter Astrid, and, of course, Michael Keaton as Tex Avery-esque demon Betelgeuse.
The trailer introduces the plot of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” in which Lydia returns to Connecticut for her father’s funeral. She tells her daughter the story of how she once summoned a demon who wanted to marry her and created chaos in her and her family’s life for a while.

When the teaser trailer for "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" debuted last March, our reintroduction to Delia Deetz (Catherine O'Hara) and Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder) was a somber one. The mother and daughter were standing graveside in a cemetery, mourning an undisclosed character. Fans of the original quickly guessed that the person being committed to the Earth was the family's patriarch, Charles Deetz (Jeffrey Jones), but Tim Burton, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, refused to confirm this suspicion. "We'll see," was all he said at the time.
Two months later, with the release of the first full theatrical trailer, this minor mystery has been solved thanks to an utterance by Jenna Ortega, who plays Lydia's rebellious teenage daughter Astrid. "I can't believe grandpa's dead." It's Charles' death, then, that serves as the catalyst for the sequel's plot, as confirmed by the following synopsis:

It's showtime!
Warner Bros. has unveiled the first full trailer for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and it gives us a much better idea of what to expect from Tim Burton's long-awaited sequel.
The footage begins with Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder) returning to Winter River with her mother Delia (Catherine O'Hara) and daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega) for her father's funeral (confirming reports that Jeffrey Jones' Charles Deetz has been killed off), when memories of her encounter with lecherous demon Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton) resurface.
Lydia explains what happened all those years ago to Astrid, who proceeds to say the Ghost with the Most's name three times, summoning the Bio-Exorcist back to the land of the living.
The previous teaser suggested that Betelgeuse might be seeking revenge, but it looks like he'll be putting his differences with Lydia aside in an effort to rescue Astrid.

It’s easy to be jaded in the year of our lord 2024 about legacy sequels. What once seemed like a novelty less than a decade ago—back when Harrison Ford said, “Chewie, we’re home”—has increasingly become a threat. Hollywood studios continue to be hellbent on dragging from the grave every 1980s and ‘90s pop culture relic. However, terms like “hellbent” and “the grave” have always befitted Tim Burton’s second, and in some circles still best, feature film: Beetlejuice.
Released in 1988 to a smattering of amused if confused critical notices, Beetlejuice’s dark comedy setup about a bland small town couple (Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis) discovering the afterlife is like if the Dmv was designed by, well, Tim Burton, was a cultural oddity. It was a movie that juxtaposed mid-20th century Americana with stop-motion effects and claymation, creating sights as gnarly as Michael Keaton’s face on a giant snake hissing,...

Hey, did one of you say Beetlejuice three times? Because the new trailer for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice just dropped, and- wait a second, we just said Beetlejuice three times. Four, now! Either way, it’s worked – Tim Burton’s long-awaited sequel is finally arriving later this year, and a brand new trailer not only gets the whole gang back together (Michael Keaton! Winona Ryder! Catherine O’Hara!), but gives us our best look yet at the newcomers too (Jenna Ortega! Monica Bellucci! Willem Dafoe! Justin Theroux!). All that, and it’s packed with visuals that hark back to Burton’s beloved original film, including stop-motion-styled effects and puppetry. It looks like one hell of a party:
The bio-exorcist is well and truly back – and for all the intervening decades, Michael Keaton looks to be fitting back into the Beetlejuice stripes with ease. It’s a joy, too, to see Ryder returning as...

When you think of classic horror comedies, you definitely think of the 1980s, the decade where the genre was mostly born; you have “Ghostbusters,” “Gremlins,” “Critters,” and of course “Beetlejuice” by Tim Burton, arguably one of the masters of all things macabre and comedic and a genre unto himself. And while it took Burton almost four decades to make a sequel to his Michael Keaton-starring classic—about a malicious spirit (Beetlejuice) hired to drive out an unbearable family that has moved into the home of a recently deceased couple— he’s finally returning with “Beetlejuice 2,” aka “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” in the fall.

Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” the follow-up to the 1988 comedy-horror classic. Michael Keaton returns as the foul-mouthed, shape-shifting ghoul joined by new cast members Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci and Justin Theroux. Also reprising their roles from the original film are Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara.
“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” sees the Deetz clan move back into their Winter River home after a sudden death in the family. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was in development hell for decades before it finally got made. In 1990, Jonathan Gems was hired to write a sequel that was going to be titled Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian. Burton considered having Daniel Waters rewrite that script, Pamela Norris did rewrite it, and Warner Bros. offered Kevin Smith the chance to do another rewrite. He turned it down. Seth Grahame-Smith was hired to write and produce a new version of a sequel in 2011. Mike Vukadinovich was brought on to rewrite his script in 2017.

You've waited an eternity for this... Warner Bros has revealed the full official trailer for the legacy sequel titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (originally known as Beetlejuice 2), reuniting mastermind filmmaker Tim Burton with actor Michael Keaton for a long-awaited follow-up 36 (!!) years later. Who's ready for some creepy chaos again? The first Beetlejuice movie opened in 1988 (right before Burton's Batman in 1989) and ended up as a modest success and cult favorite. The sequel continues the story with the very same family. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. Michael Keaton returns as this miscreant Betelgeuse again, along with Winona Ryder back as Lydia, plus Jenna Ortega as Astrid, Catherine O'Hara, Monica Bellucci, Justin Theroux, Arthur Conti, Burn Gorman, and Filipe Cates; plus Willem Dafoe...

Are moviegoers really clamoring for more of the ghost with the most? Tim Burton and Warner Bros. certainly think so. After dropping a disappointingly tepid teaser trailer last March, the Goth King of Hollywood (who probably single-handedly kept the ubiquitous shopping mall mainstay Hot Topic in business) has just unleashed a full theatrical trailer that, hopefully, whets fans' appetite for another ghoulish, antic-filled adventure headlined by the always game Michael Keaton.

Confession time: despite being a serious film buff, and preaching the gospel of physical media, I only recently upgraded to a 4K Blu-ray player. While I’ve been watching 4K for years on my Apple TV, I also upgraded my 4K TV to one with Dolby Vision built-in, and some of the results I’ve been seeing on restorations of my favourite movies have been blowing my mind. For those of you who maybe haven’t taken the plunge, here’s a list of five that have really knocked my socks off:
The Crow (1994)
Our man Tyler Nichols was so impressed with the transfer on the recent 4K disc that he devoted an entire column to it last week. For me, this was one of the first movies I opted to pick up, as it’s never really looked all that great on DVD or Blu-ray. I’ve been lucky...

We've seen a brief teaser for Tim Burton's Beetlejuice sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (oops), already, but Warner Bros. has now announced that the full trailer will be online tomorrow.
In the meantime, we have a new poster spotlighting Michael Keaton's returning Bio-Exorcist (well, most of him) alongside some new waiting room acquaintances.
This image is a callback to Betelgeuse's final scene from the first movie, which saw the mischievous Ghost with the Most banished to the Afterlife after falling foul of a sandworm.
There's been a lot of speculation that the sequel will begin with Betelgeuse still waiting to be seen all these years later, after attempting to jump the queue by stealing the witch doctor's ticket and getting his head shrunk for his trouble ("this could be a good look for me").
Check out the poster at the link below, and be sure to drop back on Thursday for the new trailer.

Take a look at the upcoming live-action supernatural comedy feature "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”, a sequel to the 1982 film, also directed by Tim Burton, starring Michael Keaton and Jenna Ortega, releasing September 26, 2024 in theaters:

“After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return to the small Vermont town of Winter River. Paranormal empath, ‘Lydia Deetz’, begins to see the lecherous demon Beetlejuice, who haunted her as a teenager.
“His plans to finally marry Lydia are given extra urgency when his dead wife comes to life and begins to stalk the ‘Afterlife’ hunting for him. Meanwhile, Lydia’s teenage daughter (Ortega) embarks on a romance with a local teen.

Director Tim Burton’s 1988 classic Beetlejuice (watch it Here) ended with the title character sitting down in a waiting room, and it looked like he was going to be in there for a very long time. It’s fitting that we left him in that situation, given that fans have had to wait thirty-six years for the follow-up Beetlejuice Beetlejuice – but now the wait is almost over. The sequel is set to reach theatres on September 6th, and a newly unveiled teaser poster takes us back to that waiting room with Beetlejuice while acknowledging the long wait between films. Although there were many Marvel allusions and homages in Spider-Man: Homecoming, it appears that one DC character escaped our notice. In the 2017 flick starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, an Easter egg as elusive as a superhero’s secret identity was cleverly tucked away by none other than Michael Keaton.
While embracing his role as the high-flying Vulture, Keaton delivered a subtle nod to his iconic portrayal of the caped crusader from Tim Burton’s Batman (1989). This hidden gem was discovered by an avid comic book enthusiast, who noticed that during a moonlit skirmish, Vulture’s winged silhouette briefly resembles Batman’s icon.

This fleeting moment might’ve been a conscious tribute or a happy coincidence, yet its existence is a delightful treat for those of us versed in the lore of both DC and Marvel.

The role of James Bond has played an instrumental part in Pierce Brosnan’s career. Despite succeeding some of the greatest Bond actors like the late Sean Connery and Roger Moore, Bosnan made a name as the character. Pierce Brosnan started on a good note when he was introduced as the British Secret Service Agent in 1995’s GoldenEye. He gave an incredible performance and the audience liked this new version of 007. But the following three films failed to maintain the first film’s quality.

One of the most adapted authors in history, Stephen King yet has a significant experience with movies proving that he has developed his critical eye over the years of dealing with filmmakers.
Though he’s mostly known as a cinephile who doesn’t follow the mainstream preferring to crash the movies that everyone adores, King still left everyone bewildered when admitted he hadn’t enjoyed Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill, but nonetheless gave it a credit saying there are some worse movies out there.
Several years ago King revealed that he’s not into “narcissistic stuff like Kill Bill” calling the film’s opening part a “blah movie”, but then proceeded with some kind of weird compliment for Tarantino’s hit saying that “isn’t a benchmark of awfulness” comparing it to Mars Attacks! or Mommie Dearest.

George Clooney has been many things in his career, an Oscar-winning actor and producer, a nominated director, and a humanitarian. However, one thing he could not pull off was being a successful Batman. While he was perfect on paper for the role of the vigilante, the odds were stacked against him as he was cast in Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin.
The film has received extremely negative reviews and led to the reboot of the franchise with Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins. However, the actor seems to have found one fan in Josh Brolin, who played Cable in Deadpool 2 and Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. He was reportedly also up for Batman in the Dceu, which Ben Affleck played.

Kevin Costner was honored with France’s Order of Arts and Letter at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, ahead of the Out of Competition world premiere of his two-part Western epic Horizon: An American Saga.
“You represent the America of wide spaces, the America of free minds, the America of cinema and the love of culture that we share on both sides of the Atlantic,” French Culture Minister Rachida Dati said in a speech paying tribute to the actor.
She went on to declare, “I will always love you” ahead of pinning the honorary ribbon medal to Costner’s white suit, in reference to his role in 1992 blockbuster The Bodyguard opposite Whitney Houston and its record-breaking hit track ‘I Always Love You’.
