- He has written two comedy-themed books under one of his most popular characters: Armando Hoyos. Armando Hoyos' Non-authorized Autobiography (1997) sold over 270,000 copies and "Armando Hoyos: Diccionario de la Real Epidemia de la Lengua" ("Armando Hoyos: The Real Language Epidemic Dictionary",1999) sold over 175,000 copies. Both remained the #1 Best-Selling pick for several months from the date of their respective releases
- Voiced-over (dubbed into Spanish) the main characters of several hit animated films which include "Mulan" and "Mulan 2" (as the lead, Mushu), "Dr. Doolitle" and "Dr. Doolittle 2" (Lucky, Dr. Doolittle's best friend), "102 Dalmatians" (Waddlesworth) and "Shrek" and "Shrek 2" (Donkey). As a result of his keenness and quick witted humor, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Dreamworks allowed him not only to dub Donkey's voice, but to translate and adapt the script of "Shrek" and "Shrek 2" to make it more appealing to Latin America
- He has starred in many plays. Three of the more recent, "Ninnete y Un Señor de Murcia" (Miguel Miura), "Salvese Quien Pueda" (Ray Clooney's "Run For Your Wife") and "Opción Múltiple" ("Multiple Choice") have gained him recognition for Best Actor in a Theatrical Comedy and, respectively, has been presented with the Theatrical Comedy Award by the two top theatrical associations in Mexico: The Theatre Critics Association and The Theatre Journalists Association.
- From 2004 to the present, starred in "Latinologues" which toured the U.S. and was performed 100% in English. Its sold-out success on the road led the show to hit Broadway in mid-September of 2005 for a limited engagement at the Helen Hayes Theater. Broadway production was directed by Cheech Marin
