Back in the soap opera glory days of the 1980s, I remember well Demi Moore‘s short stint on the popular “General Hospital.” With her distinctive gravelly voice, movie star beauty and strong personality, it was obvious that the small screen couldn’t contain her, and that she would go on to bigger things.
Demi Gene Guynes was born on November 11 in 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico. Following a difficult childhood, she left school her junior year and did some modeling before meeting and marrying musician Freddy Moore, with whom she co-wrote three songs. She had a couple of small film roles before landing the “General Hospital” gig in 1983. Then a series of popular films beginning with “Blame It On Rio” in 1984 led to an impressive string of blockbuster films throughout the 1980s and 1990s, making her one of the biggest stars of the era.

Nope, this isn’t the new Bong Joon-ho movie, but a 3-D oldie from 1982. Although it’s by no means a great picture, fans equipped for Blu-ray 3-D will want to take a look — the depth effects fashioned with the over’n’under Sterevision system are some of the best yet. Stan Winston provides director Charles Band with the ‘Alien’ rip-off title critters, and added interest is provided via an early appearance by Demi Moore, who sleepwalks through her part but certainly looks good. A full complement of extras tell the making-of story; the feature is also encoded in 2-D, for really imaginative viewers.

Demi Moore is giving fans an inside look into her three marriages in her revealing new memoir, Inside Out.
Moore’s first marriage was to musician Freddy Moore when the actress was just 18. The actress, now 56, took the musician’s name as her stage name.
In her book, Moore recalls their whirlwind marriage which lasted until 1985. Moore admits she was unfaithful to the musician the night before they were set to say “I do.”
“The night before we got married, instead of working on my vows, I was calling a guy I’d met on a movie set,” Moore writes.

Demi Moore is admitting to a past “infidelity” in her revealing new memoir Inside Out.
In the book, the actress, 56, recalls her whirlwind marriage to musician Freddy Moore, 69, and how being unfaithful forced her to face some hard truths about her life. She was just 18 when they married in 1980; they divorced in 1985.
“The night before we got married, instead of working on my vows, I was calling a guy I’d met on a movie set,” Moore writes. “I snuck out of my own bachelorette party and went to his apartment.”

As Demi Moore gears up for the Sept. 24 release of her autobiography “Inside Out,” the actress says she feels like a weight has been lifted.
“Even the stuff that I may have been nervous about is completely lifting…because it’s a process,” Moore told Variety at the premiere of her upcoming film “Corporate Animals” at Neuehouse on Wednesday night. In the memoir, written for HarperCollins, Moore reportedly addresses everything from her “tumultuous relationship” with her mother to her three marriages — to Freddy Moore, Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher.
“There is a part of this that is like giving birth and I’m like ‘It’s done. So, whatever it’ll be.’ I’m just excited and open for the journey,” she said.
But in her latest film, “Coporate Animals,” Moore goes on a different kind of journey, playing arrogant Incredible Edibles CEO Lucy. When her team heads off on a corporate team building retreat,...

Talk about amicable exes! Demi Moore was surprisingly the center of her ex-husband Bruce Willis' Comedy Central roast over the weekend, and she made some very funny digs at the actor during her performance. First, she joked that she was "married to Bruce for the first three Die Hard movies, which makes sense because the last two sucked," according to Variety. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) She then went on to explain why they split after 13 years of marriage in 2000. "People wonder why our marriage came to an end, and in all honesty I think it was because some jealousy started to creep in. I think Bruce never really got over the fact that I rocked the bald look better than he did," she said. Demi continued by making jokes about Bruce's career, "After our divorce, he said he considered the end of our marriage his biggest failure, but Bruce,...

It’s Alien crossed with Mad Max, and Demi Moore plays a lemon farmer. We look back at the 1982 sci-fi horror, Parasite...
All Hollywood stars have to start somewhere, and there are plenty of A-listers with low-budget B-movies in their early histories. A teenage Leonardo DiCaprio made an appearance in Critters 3; Kevin Bacon was a memorable victim in the original Friday The 13th. Then there's Parasite: a bargain-basement sci-fi horror that cheerfully slams together two popular 70s staples: Cronenbergian body horror and George Miller-style post-apocalypse. Oh, and Demi Moore makes her feature film debut as Patricia, who grows lemons.

Welcome to the 50 club, Demi Moore!
Demi Moore has enthralled us throughout her 28-year-long career, but long before Moore was one of the highest paid actress in film history or a gossip magazine favorite, she was just a struggling 16-year-old, attempting to live independently off a fledgling-modeling career. At 19, the New Mexico native had transitioned into acting, landing a role on "General Hospital." She made the jump to the big screen in "Blame It On Rio" opposite Michael Caine as his daughter; by the release of "St. Elmo’s Fire" one year later, she was a star.
For years Demi was one of the premiere actresses in Hollywood, going on to star in successful films like “About Last Night…,” “Ghost,” “A Few Good Men,” “Indecent Proposal,” and “G.I. Jane.” Of her 1986 performance in “About Last Night…,” movie critic Robert Ebert wrote, “Moore is especially impressive. There isn't a romantic note...
