Cynthia Perez-Brown
- Producer
Cynthia Perez-Brown gravitates towards challenging projects and takes
pride in resolving issues that have stumped others in the past. In her
many years as a banker she found creative solutions for both corporate
and real estate client's funding requirements. During her real estate
financing phase she noticed much common ground between her producer
friends funding goals and the goals of her real estate developers. Both
dealt in the problems of financing something that was not yet built.
Most recently she has returned to the banking world working with the
Chairman & CEO of Citibank (Banamex USA) wealth management and personal
banking on their USA expansion strategy.
In the late 90's, she decided to use her skills in financing by actually producing full feature films instead of just financing them. One of the films was nominated for an IFP Spirit Award.
With her take-charge administrative and business skills she also has spent a few years not only developing business plans for film slate funds for Ruddy Morgan Organization (Producers of The Godfather, Million Dollar Baby) but also was has been responsible for the company's New Media Initiative, liaison with the film community's development and productions executives as well as responsible for the administration of the offices.
Before RMO Cynthia was part of the team that started G4 TV Network (TV for Video Gamers) with Charles Hirschhorn of Disney Television, Debra Green from E! Networks and Dale Hopkins a pioneer in advertising a new media.
Her language skills came in handy when she partnered with Ted Perkins of Universal Studios to start the first Spanish language film distributions company Latin Universe.
A native of Los Angeles, Cynthia studied in Nicaragua and is fluent in Spanish.
