Shani Pride's passion and purpose lies in media and social impact.
Pride is in development on a feature film she is writing and directing that will film in Italy in the Fall of 2024. She's also in development on a television series she created and wrote entitled Brownsville Redemption. Which explores complex themes around equity and access in marginalized black and brown communities.
Additionally, Pride works with brands to create dynamic and thought-provoking commercial campaigns.
For years Pride worked professionally as an actor starring in commercially successful films and television, including American Horror Story, CSI, Weeds, and Love Don't Cost a Thing. She also starred in dozens of national commercial campaigns including AT&T, Best Buy, Verizon, Hallmark and Nature's Way.
Pride began honing her craft at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts as a Theater Major. She continued her studies at UCLA Theater School, then studied with numerous reputable teachers in LA, NY and London. She then went on and studied/collaborated with distinguished institutions, including the Sundance Institute, to develop and sharpen her writing and directing skills.
