Latin-Grammy nominated composer, arranger and producer. Born in Spain, Rosino Serrano has been part of the musical scene of Mexico since the early 80's. For the last two decades, he has shared his professional life between Mexico City, Los Angeles and New York. A renowned film composer, Rosino has scored iconic features such as the Oscar-nominated The Crime of Father Amaro, Santitos, and Walkout, directed by Edward James Olmos. Either as a composer, arranger, pianist, musical director, orchestrator, or producer, Rosino has worked alongside some of the most prominent artists in Latin America, including Armando Manzanero, Santana, Ivan Lins, Camila, Arjona, El Tri, Emmanuel, Mijares, Maluma, Carlos Rivera, Tania Libertad, Eugenia León, and many others. Rosino has written over 400 arrangements and produced dozens of albums in a wide variety of genres and styles, ranging from pop, rock and jazz to Mexican music, classical and opera. He was an in-house composer at the award-winning music houses Big Rumble Music and Razorhead Music, in NYC, being in charge of multiple radio and TV commercial campaigns for clients such as Chrysler, Budweiser, Panasonic, and Disney. His catalogue also embraces a large number of works for theatre, dance, multimedia, and concert music. He has served as a music director for Thalia Spanish Theatre, in NYC, and the Latino Theater Company, in LA. He composed the music for the critically acclaimed play Destiny of Desire, which has toured major venues in the US. A graduate of Manhattan School of Music, Rosino is currently a faculty member at the National University of Mexico (UNAM) and Tecnológico de Monterrey. In 2019 he founded his own jazz orchestra, Orquesta Moderna. He is a member of Mexico's Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte.
