The first track on This Is Lorelei’s upcoming debut album is a sweet, sad song called “Angel’s Eye.” “So long, my lonely friend/Goodbye, my only love,” a high voice sings over gently rolling strums. It’s a pure, earnest country weeper, full of feeling in every note.
If you don’t already know, you might be surprised to learn that This Is Lorelei is an alias for Nate Amos, one of the mad-scientist minds behind the Brooklyn duo Water From Your Eyes. In that band, he twists strange,...

Billie Eilish has spoken out against the practice of “some of the biggest artists in the world” releasing multiple vinyl variants to boost album sales.
In a new interview with Billboard about her sustainability efforts, Eilish vented about the wastefulness that comes from producing different vinyl packages to entice more fan spending.
“We live in this day and age where, for some reason, it’s very important to some artists to make all sorts of different vinyl and packaging,” Eilish said. “Which ups the sales and ups the numbers and gets them more money and gets them more.”
She continued, “I find it really frustrating as somebody who really goes out of my way to be sustainable and do the best that I can and try to involve everybody in my team in being sustainable — and then it’s some of the biggest artists in the world making fucking 40 different...

SXSW 2024 is hurtling toward its conclusion, and the music portion of the festival entered the weekend with a bang on Friday. The loudest, busiest night so far this year featured tons of great sounds if you knew where to look, or even if you didn’t — in a year that’s been as much about unofficial shows as the ones on the schedule, serendipity was the rule. Here are the best things we saw on March 15.

The Beatles‘ songs don’t sound much like Blink-182’s. Despite this, Mark Hoppus from Blink-182 is a big fan of one of The Beatles’ ballads from Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The track in question is underrated.
Mark Hoppus from Blink-182 said 1 Beatles song gets him choked up
During a 2009 interview with Cleveland.com, Hoppus was asked to name his favorite Beatles song. He picked “She’s Leaving Home,” a ballad from Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. While “She’s Leaving Home” is part of one of the biggest albums of all time, it doesn’t garner as much attention as other tracks on Sgt. Pepper such as “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and “A Day in the Life.” It’s also nowhere near as famous as other Beatles ballads like “Yesterday,” “Let It Be,” or “The Long and Winding Road.”
“She’s Leaving Home” has a huge impact on Hoppus.

Wolfgang Van Halen continues to be an outspoken fan of progressive extreme metal band Meshuggah.
Wolfgang recently took part in Amoeba Music’s “What’s in My Bag?” video series, flipping through the vinyl selections at the famed record store’s location in Hollywood, California.
The videos are a fascinating look into the music tastes of the artists themselves, and Wolfgang’s Amoeba haul is reflective of the core influences in his own music.
One band in particular — Meshuggah — has been a recurring namedrop for Wolfgang, as he previously cited the prog metallers as a direct influence on parts of the second Mammoth Wvh album and even put the band on his wedding playlist. Not surprisingly, the first items he picked up at Amoeba were two different vinyl variants of Meshuggah’s latest album Immutable, along with copies of the Swedish band’s Nothing and Koloss.

More than 30 years after its original release, "The Nightmare Before Christmas" has just passed a significant box office milestone. Disney's beloved classic — one suited for both the Halloween and Christmas seasons — was recently re-released in theaters to celebrate its 30th anniversary. It has done well enough in theaters over the past couple of weeks to push the film over the $100 million mark worldwide. That's pretty remarkable considering how long it took to reach that benchmark.
The 30th-anniversary re-release has, to date, earned $9.8 million domestically, per Box Office Mojo. That includes $889,000 in its most recent weekend. With that, the movie has earned $87.2 million domestically to date to go with $13.8 million internationally for a grand total that now stands at $101 million worldwide. This latest release puts a punctuation mark on what has been a very unique journey, to say the least.

On their ninth album, Blink-182 are still pondering the riddle that’s always been at the center of their antic-filled career: “What’s my age again?” This time, the answer is pretty clear: old in life, but young at heart. It’s a Friday in October, which means there’s a new Blink-182 song. Check out “Fell in Love,” the latest single from the band’s upcoming reunion album, below.
“Fell in Love” is a bubbly ode to (you guessed it) love, as Tom DeLonge recalls the beginning of a relationship over jubilant hand claps and some classic “Na na na”s. “Late night, feeling kinda lonely/ Drive home and no one’s waiting for me/ I don’t miss the days before I fell for you,” he croons, before he and his boo got together and “made out til the sun came up.”
The track appears on One More Time…, Blink’s first album with singer-guitarist Tom DeLonge in 12 years. The LP is out in full October 20th, and pre-orders are ongoing. So far, the band has shared the title track, as well as album cuts “More Than You Know” and “Dance with Me.

Blink-182 have shared “Dance with Me,” the latest single from their upcoming album One More Time….
One More Time… is Blink’s first new album since the return of guitarist Tom DeLonge, so it’s not too surprising to see them lean into the nostalgia factor with “Dance with Me.” In its cheeky music video, the band seem to poke fun at not only themselves, but the punk purists who called them sellouts back in the day. The clip starts with a faux TV interview, in which the band all appear to be doing their best Joey Ramone cosplay: “What the hell is punk? And is it punk that I said ‘hell?'” a Barbara Walters-esque hosts asks.
“Dance with Me” isn’t the most punk tune around, but it has all the major tenets of a Blink-182 song: Breakneck drums, zippy guitar riffs, a chorus about “doin’ it all night long,...

Blink-182’s reunited classic lineup are finally ready to start sharing some more new music from their first album together in 12 years, with two new songs arriving today, “One More Time” and “More Than You Know.”
“One More Time” finds Blink indulging in a bit of endearing, well-earned pop-punk nostalgia. In the song, the band reflects on their splits and reunions over the years, acknowledging the strain that often falls on long-term relationships while also wishing it wasn’t always brushes with death that brought everyone back together. “I miss you,...

Monsters of California trailer: sci-fi film directed by Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge gets October release
Sixteen months have passed since we saw a teaser trailer for the sci-fi adventure Monsters of California, which marks the feature directorial debut of Tom DeLonge, the guitarist and co-lead vocalist in the band Blink-182. At that time, we had no idea when Monsters of California was going to be making its way out into the world… but now we do. The film is set to receive a theatrical and VOD release on October 6th, and with that date less than a month away a full trailer has arrived online. You can check it out in the embed above.
DeLonge’s interest in UFOs, the paranormal, cryptids, and conspiracy theories is very well known, and his research in those areas was put to use when crafting the story for Monsters of California with co-writer Ian Miller. The film follows teenager Dallas Edwards and his misfit friends as they attempt to...

Hot on the heels of Nsync’s explosive appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards, Joey Fatone performed the group’s biggest hits in Tampa, Florida on Friday night and Et Canada was exclusively with the musician as he stepped off stage and dished on the boy band’s buzzy reunion.
In town for 90s Con, Fatone, 46, put on a sold-out Joey Fatone & Friends gig at Tampa Theater, where he was joined by his sister Janine and Backstreet Boys pal Aj McLean.
McLean was still buzzing from Tuesday’s Nsync reunion, telling the audience he became “teary” watching Fatone, Justin Timberlake, Jc Chasez, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick come together at the VMA’s to present an award to Taylor Swift — who fangirled and questioned the band on their future.
“She went, ‘What the hell are you guys doing?’ That was [her] big question.”

Kourtney Kardashian is showing her resilience after undergoing emergency fetal surgery to save her pregnancy.
On September 6, Kardashian’s husband Travis Barker, drummer for pop-rock band Blink-182, posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the 44-year-old mogul underwent an emergency fetal surgery. Such surgeries done to address abnormalities or life-threatening disorders always carry a risk for both the woman and the unborn child.
Fans were relieved when the reality star made a post a photo on Instagram, dressed in leather and black lace, with the caption, “Pregnancy is so empowering.”
While many fans of the reality star were supportive of Kardashian’s statement, others were not so enthusiastic. Many people commented that her portrayal didn’t do the pregnancy experience justice.
One person commented, “You spelled exhausting wrong .”

Blink-182’s track “Aliens Exist” could easily be the tagline for band member Tom DeLonge’s directorial debut “Monsters of California.”
DeLonge co-wrote the script with Ian Miller and Ben Kull, with the plot centering on a high schooler looking to find his missing father who works for a secret government program. The action-comedy stars Jack Samson, Casper Van Dien, Camille Kostek, Richard Kind, and Arianne Zucker.
After discovering research left behind by a missing government agent, Dallas Edwards (Samson) and his misfit high school friends embark on a righteous and dangerous adventure to uncover a paranormal conspiracy in Southern California that brings them face-to-face with some of the government’s most guarded mysteries.
DeLonge also produced the original score, composed by Ilan Rubin and co-produced by Aaron Rubin. Along with DeLonge, Stan Spry and Eric Scott Woods produce “Monsters of California” with DeLonge’s To The Stars production company...

Blink-182 was forced to postpone concerts in Europe last week so Travis Barker could tend to an “urgent family matter.” Now Barker’s wife Kourtney Kardashian is opening up about the emergency saying she had to undergo an urgent fetal surgery.
“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this,” the Kardashians star shared on Instagram.
She continued, “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear.

For the first time since 2019, the music event will return with a new lineup of performers — but it’s keeping its location at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium. Camp Flog Gnaw has always taken place far outside of the normal date range of music’s summer festival season. For 2023, the carnival is scheduled for Nov. 11 and 12.
The 2023 lineup is being kept under wraps for the time being, but Tyler, the Creator might have dropped a few hints about who to expect.

Travis Barker says he is pretty much a Toronto man.
Blink-182 returned to Canada’s largest city for another show Monday night (May 15) following the first Toronto performance of their reunion tour last Thursday (May 11). Apparently, he’s spent enough time in the 6ix now to consider himself a Torontonian.

Along with performing as a regular hip hop artist collaborator, Barker co-founded the rock band +44, joined Box Car Racer, Antemasque and Goldfinger, and is a member of the rap rock band Transplants.
Because of his notoriety, Rolling Stone named him “punk’s first superstar drummer” and one of the top 100 drummers in history.

Travis Barker is baring it all, and we don’t just mean on the stage. While the legendary drummer is fresh off a surprise set with Blink-182 at Coachella, and an equally surprisingly headliner slot closing off the fest after Frank Ocean dropped out of performing Weekend 2, he’s getting particularly personal with this latest venture. And no, we don’t mean the premiere of his wedding special with Kourtney Kardashian on Hulu,...

A big question hung over the final night of Coachella 2023’s second weekend: What now? Seven days earlier, on April 16, Frank Ocean had closed out the festival’s first weekend with a performance that he himself acknowledged as chaotic at best. Some fans were devastated by it, while others found it off-handedly brilliant; either way, it added up to one of the weirdest headline sets ever.
By the middle of last week, we knew there would be no opportunity for redemption. On Wednesday, Ocean pulled out of the second weekend entirely,...
