NEW YORK -- WCBS-TV general manager Lew Leone will jump from the CBS O&O to lead Fox Television Stations' New York-market duopoly of WNYW-TV and WWOR-TV. Leone has been tapped for the vp/general manager position at the stations, which include one Fox affiliate (WNYW) and one UPN affiliate (WWOR). He'll report to Jack Abernethy, chief executive of the Fox Television Stations Group. Leone replaces Jim Clayton. Leone, a local and national TV sales executive, had been president and general manager of WCBS since July 2002. From 1999-2002, he was vp sales at NBC's New York City O&O, WNBC.
