Helen wants to please. She is driven by a seemingly fathomless pit of toxic positivity that, on a surface level may seem benign but once the veneer cracks exposes deep-seated hurt and rather unhealthy coping mechanisms. I’m A Good Person, directed by Tamsin Topolski, is a wonderfully dark dive into one woman’s journey to find love and connection as she navigates the cruel world we live in always looking on the bright side of life. Topolski found herself immediately drawn to the acerbic and unconventional script written by Ross O’Donnellan, who stars alongside Laure Stockley and brings the film’s vile male antagonist to punchable life. The world crafted in I’m a Good Person reflects a stark and almost bare existence which highlights the noxiousness of the relationship Helen has tied herself to and evocatively explores what happens when even the meekest of us are pushed to breaking point.

New Line’s new animated movie, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, is moving from its April 12, 2024 release date to Dec. 13 next year.
The move stems from a chain-reaction of Warner Bros re-dating today, spurred by Legendary Entertainment’s Dune: Part Two going from Nov. 3 this year to March 15, 2024, which then pushed that financier and producer’s other title, Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire from that date to April 12, 2024. Dune: Part Two had to move had to shift on account of the unavailability of its cast to promote during the actors strike.
War of the Rohirrim will now face off on its new December date against Sony’s reboot of The Karate Kid.
The anime feature, directed by Kenji Kamiyama, is set 183 years before the events chronicled in the original New Line Lord of the Rings trilogy. Those Peter Jackson movies, in addition to his Hobbit trilogy,...

The Duffer Brothers are staying strong at Netflix with a new supernatural series. But instead of teenagers leading the narrative, a group of senior citizens will make up The Boroughs. Created by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance), the mystery series is set in a seemingly idyllic retirement community, where an unlikely group of residents team up to thwart an otherworldly force threatening their livelihood. The premise sounds like a more sinister Cocoon, and we all know how much the Duffers and even Addiss and Matthews love '80s references. As we wait for more updates on the show’s production, here’s everything we know about The Boroughs so far.
According to the official logline: “In a seemingly picturesque retirement community in the New Mexico desert, a group of unlikely heroes must band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don’t have…...

After the huge success of "Stranger Things," it's no surprise Netflix would want to stay in business with the Duffer Brothers. And as that show heads toward its highly anticipated conclusion, the duo is revving up future projects for the streamer.
When Netflix signed Matt and Ross Duffer to a nine-figure deal last year, one of the projects they were attached to was a mysterious science fiction series from creators Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, the guys behind Netflix's beloved, canceled-too-soon fantasy epic "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance." Today, we finally have more information about that project.
The eight-episode series is called "The Boroughs," and it sounds like it could be tonally similar to "Stranger Things" despite having a completely different setting and group of characters. Here's the official logline:

Netflix on Monday announced a straight-to-series order for an untitled animated series set within the Stranger Things universe.
