Married at First Sight, fans were relieved that Season 17 finally came to an end after six long months of watching the trainwreck of a season play out.
However, you can imagine that the cast is also happy to finally be done with watching their disastrous marriage play out week after week.
We know that Chloe Brown is ready to move on with her life after an unsuccessful attempt at marriage despite her best efforts.
She recently posted several throwback photos from her time on the show, including a few snaps from the Mafs finale.
The finale episode, a Where Are They Now special, gave an update on the Denver cast months after their marriages ended.
During the episode, Chloe dropped a few bombshells about her relationship –or lack thereof with the other wives.
However, she’s formed a close bond with the men, including her now ex-husband Michael Shiakallis, and...

It’s been a long and bumpy road for Married at First Sight viewers and now we can breathe easy that the Season is over.
Fans of the show are happy to bid “good riddance” to the Denver cast for trolling us with the “Worst. Season. Ever.”
Remember that Season 17 premiered in October 2023 and aired its last episode on April 17, 2024.
That’s six torturous months of watching Emily Balch, Becca Haley, Lauren Good, and Clare Kerr’s feeble attempts at trying to make their marriages work with husbands, Brennan Shoykhet, Austin Reed, Orion Martzloff, and Cameron Frazer.
Lauren and Orion were the first couple to call it quits only days after tying the knot, and that was just a sign of things to come.
Chloe and Michael tied the knot later in the season, giving us hope that at least one couple would be standing in the end.
That wasn’t the case,...

Can robots have a coming of age story? Well, Optimus Prime, Megatron and their assembled mechanical factions are alien robots known as Transformers, so, you know, anything is possible. And indeed, Transformers One takes us back to a time before sides had been taken in the war between the Autobots and Decepticons, when Optimus was known as Orion Pax, and Megatron went by the slightly less imposing moniker of D-16.
The animated adventure, directed by Toy Story 4's Josh Cooley, harkens back to the 1986 Transformers: The Movie, but is set even further back in time, when Cybertron holds secrets and threats – compelling Orion, D-16, B-127 (Aka Bumblebee) and their friend Elita-1 to become what they're supposed to be. They're about to go through a – pun entirely intended – transformational experience.

Emily Balch put on quite a performance at the Married at First Sight reunion, and now she’s being trolled on social media.
People are bashing the 29-year-old for her “embarrassing” behavior, which included storming off the stage, giving a major attitude to the reunion host, and refusing to take accountability for anything.
While the entire Denver cast is being blamed for their part in the devious plot, at this point, the men are coming up smelling like roses.
Cameron, Brennan, Orion, Austin, and Cameron apologized to the experts and owned up to their part in the plot. They also apologized to their ex-wives for how things played out in their marriages.
However, when it came time for the women to take accountability, it was a different story as they refused to back down.
None more so than Emily, who not only continued to blame Brennan for everything that happened...

"Transformers One" has released its first trailer, finally giving the public the peek that CinemaCon attendees got last week. Directed by Josh Cooley, the film looks to offer a breezy and colorful animated adventure akin to the "Spider-Verse" films.
Does the title "Transformers One" sound like a misnomer to you? Audiences have already been subjected to eight of these movies and they're infamously not good ("Bumblebee" is innocent and 1986's "The Transformers: The Movie" barely skirts by on nostalgia despite how cynical it was). Well, you see, the ninth "Transformers" movie will be going back to the beginning. Set on Cybertron, the home planet of the Robots in Disguise, the film is set before the Transformers got to Earth, before the Autobots and Decepticons went to war, and before Optimus Prime and Megatron had those names.

We’re patiently waiting for Part 2 of the Married at First Sight reunion, and if you thought Part 1 was dramatic, there’s a lot more to come.
Get ready to witness heated moments among the cast as they attempt to sort out the mess they’ve made of the season, with a surprise showdown between Lauren Good and Cameron Frazer.
Emily Balch also has a tearful moment at the reunion, at one point, leaving the stage after a confrontation with her husband, Brennan Shoykhet. Plus, it’s time for the experts to chime in on all the surprising revelations.
Things have gotten tense among the group, and the seating arrangement clearly indicates that it’s the men against the women.
The fallout happened when both sides started to play the blame game amid their plot to deceive show producers.

Since 2007, the "Transformers" movies have been A) Primarily set on Earth (excepting prologues in "Dark of the Moon" and "Bumblebee" showing the war for planet Cybertron) and B) Live-action, using CGI to integrate the Autobots and Decepticons into real settings. Director Josh Cooley ("Toy Story 4") is about to change that with "Transformers One." /Film's Ryan Scott, who attended the Paramount Pictures panel at CinemaCon 2024, got an early look at the upcoming animated movie.
"Transformers One" is a prequel set before the war when the Autobots and Decepticons were still one people. Since the movie is set entirely on Cybertron with only robot characters, it makes sense to tell the story through animation. "Transformers" is no stranger to prequels -- check out the comic series "The War Within," High Moon Studios' video game duology "War for Cybertron" and "Fall of Cybertron," and more. Still, this is new territory for the films.

Married at First Sight Season 17 has turned into a bitter battle of husbands versus wives after their tumultuous marriages imploded during the season.
The women have bonded over their shared disdain for their husbands and have forged a tight friendship during the eight-week experiment.
However, has Chloe Brown been excluded from their clique?
Mafs fans noticed that the reunion seating had the women on one side and the men on the opposite side of the stage, but Chloe wasn’t sitting with the other women.
Instead, she was seated on the men’s side next to her estranged husband Michael Shiakallis.
That could mean one of two things, either the couple reconciled — which would make sense to seat them together — or that Chloe is not on good terms with the other wives so they opted to separate them.
However, that’s not the only thing that made the 39-year-old the...

The countdown has started for the Married at First Sight Season 17 reunion, and we have another sneak peek before the episode airs.
Get ready for a tumultuous faceoff between the exes with allegations being slung from both sides.
In a preview of Part 1, the wives have a conversation with host Kevin Frazier about an alleged sex pact between the men.
They are convinced that the husbands had it all planned out in their group chat to refrain from having sex with their wives.
Part 1 also features a deleted scene from the season: the women confronted the men about their conspiracy theory.
The husbands denied the claims, but that wasn’t the end of the discussion.
Did the Season 17 husbands have a sex pact?
Mafs host Kevin Frazier questioned the women about the lack of intimacy in their marriages — except for Chloe Brown and Michael Shiakallis, who tied the knot later in the season.

Bruce Timm is one of the greatest creators of comic book media in recent history. The creator joined a long line of comic book and superhero legends when he created Batman: The Animated Series. However, there was one character, created by Jack Kirby, that the legendary artist had some beef with: Thor.

Last year was a standout year for animation, and 2024 is already shaping up to be another banger. While a majority of the high-profile animation releases are due out later this summer, the first quarter of 2024 has already been promising. We at /Film are constantly singing the praises of animation as a medium, and doing our best to course-correct the ignorant idea that animation is only for children. Admittedly, this list is going to look mighty small for the time being, but it will be updated throughout the year as more films become available. As we noted last year, animation is one of the only mediums where global cinema is given an equal footing to studio-produced films in America, with the artistic visuals serving as a universal language that we can all enjoy. Meaning, this list is not limited to Hollywood animation releases ... and that's a good thing. As for now,...

Another episode of Married at First Sight is on the way, and all eyes will be on Chloe Brown and Michael Shiakallis.
That’s because they’re the only couple from Season 17 still married, and honestly, that’s only because they tied the knot much later in the season due to the runaway bride fiasco.

A new episode of Married at First Sight just aired, and viewers are chiming in on everything that went down.
Episode 17, titled “Crash and Bond,” showed the continuation of the couples retreat, and we finally got an update on Emily’s scary Atv accident, which left us on a cliffhanger last week.
Thankfully, the blonde beauty didn’t get a concussion and was later stitched up and sent home to join her castmates.
However, as Monsters and Critics previously reported, the 29-year-old will need surgery for the nasty scar on her head.
Emily was a trooper and in good spirits when she returned to the retreat, with Brennan finally stepping up and acting like a husband.
It might already be too little, too late for the couple, but we’ll wait for things to play out nonetheless.
As for the other couples– the few that are still standing– the romantic...

It’s Valentine’s Day, and love is in the air. But not for Lauren and Orion on Married at First Sight. In the Feb. 14 episode of the Lifetime reality series, Orion tried to open a dialogue with his ex-wife about their relationship. But Lauren isn’t interested in listening to her former husband rehash what went wrong in their brief marriage.
Orion puts Lauren on the spot at a group dinner
While Lauren and Orion broke up after just 10 days of marriage, both still decided to attend the couples’ retreat with the rest of the Denver cast.
Lauren and Orion’s breakup was far from amicable. He abruptly pulled away after a tense argument about a racial slur and her confession that she’s had sex with someone while participating in the Married at First Sight casting process. Still, they’ve managed to keep things civil at the retreat.

Another episode of Married at First Sight is fast approaching, and it promises to be another interesting one.
Viewers will see the continuation of the couples retreat, filmed at a stunning mansion in Foxfield, Colorado.
Things started on the lowest note possible from day one, as the only two couples in the house didn’t even spend the first night together.
Brennan has downgraded Emily from wife to friend and immediately suggested that they sleep in separate rooms.
Things didn’t fare much better for Becca, who was hopeful that she would finally consummate her marriage to Austin.
They at least started the night in bed together, but then Austin abruptly left his wife alone in the bedroom and opted to sleep somewhere else.
As you can imagine, it’s all downhill from there.

Married at First Sight has kept fans in suspense about Emily Balch’s condition after she suffered a scary accident in the last episode.
However, a family friend recently revealed that it was a severe injury that required more than one surgery.
The woman came to Emily’s defense after someone on social media claimed that the blood from her head injury appeared to be a hot pink color instead of red.
Several people jumped on the bandwagon and tried to claim that the blood appeared fake, but Emily’s injuries were nothing to joke about.
Mafs Season 16 alum Nicole Thielk saw the conversation on Instagram and chided the naysayers for making accusations that the accident was staged for TV.
She noted that viewers will understand the gravity of Emily’s accident once the new episode airs.

If you’re still tuned in to Married at First Sight, pat yourself on the back for hanging in there because it’s been a rough season.
The latest episode kicked off the couples retreat in Foxfield, Colorado, but sadly, at this point, there are barely any couples left.
That would explain why they keep tossing Orion Martzloff–and the other singles– back into the mix despite his split from his wife Lauren early in the season.
Fans were furious when the gaslighting King showed up at the couple’s retreat pretending as if things between him and Lauren were fine and dandy.
He did the same thing the last time we saw the former couple together at Michael and Chloe’s wedding a few weeks ago.
However, Lauren has finally grown tired of his antics, so although she opted to join her castmates at the retreat, she made it...

Plot: An 11-year-old boy with an active imagination confronts his fears when a giant, smiling creature of the night, Dark, invites him on a transformative journey through the hours of darkness.
Review: During a time when mental health awareness in young people is more important than ever, we must address the fragility of the mind in as many arenas as possible. Most children don’t respond well to an adult who isn’t their parent telling them what to do. You must circumvent the awkward exchange and introduce them to something unique to get through to them. One way to do this is through the power of storytelling. The right story can create a sense of comfort, regardless of how far-fetched the plot or characters appear. Scott Haze shines as a man who takes shelter with a mysterious woman in a tin shack at the bottom of a canyon
‘Never trust the surly feral kid” should be up there with “don’t have sex” and “ignore the late-night phone call” as crucial horror-movie life advice. That’s where hiker Wyndham (Scott Haze), out in the wilds photographing an eclipse, goes wrong in this horror-fringed thriller. Lured away from his car by Orion (Charlie Avink), who claims his parents have gone awol, Wyndham becomes lost and takes refuge in a tin shack at the bottom of a canyon. It’s inhabited by Alina (Kate Lyn Sheil), a blank young woman who offers him soup of dubious provenance.

Episode 17 of Married at First Sight is fast approaching, and it will be a memorable one — not just for viewers but for the cast as well.
The pairs will leave for their couples retreat at a fancy mansion in Foxfield, Colorado, setting the stage for an unforgettable getaway.
However, by the end of the trip, one couple had a major setback, and another had a medical emergency that cast a dark shadow over the trip.
Meanwhile, the Season 17 matches have already been whittled down to three couples since Orion and Lauren bit the dust before it could even settle.
Things took a downward spiral during their honeymoon, and when they returned home, Orion packed his bags and scampered off.
Clare also called it quits with her husband, Cameron, citing a lack of chemistry as the main reason she couldn’t make the marriage work.

After his uncredited studio work on Kung Fu Panda 2‘s script and his independent feature Anomalisa, Charlie Kaufman is expanding his animation resume. He’s scripted the new DreamWorks animation Orion and the Dark, which is directed by Sean Charmatz and arrives on Netflix in just a few weeks. Esoteric screenwriter Charlie Kaufman turns his hand to family filmmaking with Orion And The Dark. Here’s the trailer.
Charlie Kaufman is synonymous with the surreal. Whether it’s the astonishingly original plot of Being John Malkovich, or the novel structure of Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Kaufman’s films aren’t easy to categorise. We described his most recent film, I’m Thinking Of Ending Things, as ‘a bit odd’.
In 2020, he penned his first novel, Antkind, a sprawling absurdist epic about a man who is slowly driven insane by the memory of a three month long film only he has seen, and attempts to convince the world of its existence.
One thing he’s not known for, it’s fair to say, is family films. However, his latest screenplay is the surprisingly friendly-looking Orion And The Dark, an animated film which lands on Netflix next month. The last time Kaufman dabbled in animation,...

The latest trailer for Netflix and DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming animated film, Orion and the Dark, has Ike Barinholtz voicing the role of Light, Dark’s nemesis, as Orion, voiced by Jacob Tremblay, learns there’s nothing to be afraid of in the night.
“Everyday I bring brightness and hope to the world, and you bring the exact opposite,” Light tells Dark, voiced by Paul Walter Hauser, as their comic light versus darkness battle plays out while an anxious Orion confronts his greatest fears in life.
“Oh, whatever!” a gloomy Dark responds as his unlikely friendship with Orion grows as Tremblay’s character must shed his adolescent anxiety over much in life to overcome his worst fear: the dark. Charlie Kaufman is bringing more neuroses to Netflix, this time with an animated twist.
The “Adaptation” screenwriter penned the adaptation of YA novel “Orion and the Dark” for the streaming platform. Jacob Tremblay voices the title character Orion, who is an anxiety-ridden elementary schooler trying to get over his fear of the dark. Turns out, the Dark is actually a physical entity (Paul Walter Hauser) who brings Orion on an adventure to confront his fears, ranging from clowns, fireworks, and ghouls.
“Orion, I’m going to get you to overcome your fears if it kills me,” the Dark says in the trailer.
Angela Bassett, Colin Hanks, Natasia Demetriou, Golda Rosheuvel, Nat Faxon, Aparna Nancherla, Ike Barinholtz, Carla Gugino, Matt Dellapina, Nick Kishiyama, Mia Akemi Brown, Shannon Chan-Kent, and Jack Fisher also star. Werner Herzog narrates the film.
Animator Sean Charmatz marks his feature directorial debut with the DreamWorks and Netflix film.

The Woodmen is the new film from Joshua Brucker whose previous work includes Mothman and the “The Illinois Valley Murder Tapes” segment of Split Screen. Ash Hamilton (Holes in the Sky: The Sean Miller Story) plays himself hosting a podcast that introduces the footage, which starts with Connor going on about hybrid species, coverups, a cave that leads to Middle Earth and Green Berets wiping out everyone in a national park.
