Bts hit the stage at the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday, and brought the house down harder than any other artist at the star-studded event.
The members of the megahit Korean boy band -- Rm, Jin, Suga, Jungkook, V, J-Hope and Jimin -- stopped backstage after their show-stealing performance, and opened up to Et's Keltie Knight about what it was like to sing their hit "DNA" at the AMAs.
"It was wonderful!" Rm marveled. "It was a dream."
Before the band came out, they were introduced by The Chainsmokers' Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, who admitted that they were "nervous" to even announce the group's presence. And before they even said the band's name, fans were already freaking out -- big time.

The Chainsmokers have announced that they will be releasing their first single of 2017 tomorrow. Taking to social media with the good news, the duo shared a new clip of the incoming song “Paris,” which we’ve heard bits and pieces of with various teasers in recent memory.
The new clip serves as our first high quality preview of the forthcoming single, offering up a twenty second long sample of the tune. The video kicks off with an electric piano chord progression, before the familiar timbres of Andrew Taggart’s voice enter the mix with some catchy hooks.
After a massively successful 2016 that saw The Chainsmokers dominating with their Halsey collaboration “Closer,” we can’t wait to see what the boys have in store for 2017. While the samples we’ve heard of “Paris” so far have been brief, all signs point towards another strong release for the duo. With the release on Friday,...

The Chainsmokers scored a major hit in 2016 with their song “Closer,” a collaboration with pop singer Halsey that went on to dominate the radio throughout the second half of the year. The single won listeners over with its infectious vocal duet between Andrew Taggart and Halsey, while its future bass flirtations inspired countless ripoffs from bedroom producers in the months following its release.
The duo’s biggest hit to date has just now surpassed another milestone as the official music video and lyric video on Vevo have garnered more than a billion views combined. It’s an impressive feat to say the least, with the lyric video from July generating upwards of 911 million views, while the more recently released official video from October has more than 100 million plays.

Back in November, The Chainsmokers dropped their five track Collage Ep, a release that served to collect recent effort likes “Closer” and “Don’t Let Me Down” while offering up “Setting Fires” with XYLØ. While fans are still enjoying the duo’s latest Ep, Andrew Taggart has taken to Snapchat to tease their upcoming next single.
In a ten second clip, we can see Drew laying in bed as he recites the lyrics to the unreleased song. It’s definitely in line with the type of material that has come to define The Chainsmokers’ output, with radio friendly vocal hooks, upbeat rhythms and bittersweet melodies.
The latest teaser follows up on another one from earlier in the month. While the two previews only amount to about twenty seconds of combined audio, there does seem to be a correlation between the background music, painting the picture that they’re both teasers of the same song.

The concept for the new video expands on the lyrical narrative of “Closer,” offering up a visual representation off Andrew Taggart and Halsey’s post breakup hook up from the song. The plot revisits the two singer’s past as a couple, intercut with shots of Halsey “looking pretty in a hotel bar,” pairing the music with some rather literal visuals. And, well, we couldn't help but notice how cute lead singer Andrew Taggart is. Born in Portland, Me in 1989, Andrew has been on the scene with fellow bandmate Alex Pall since 2012. While many seem to be speculating about a possible relationship between him and Halsey, neither party has confirmed involvement, so we're going go ahead to assume Andrew's single until we hear otherwise. As such, we've conducted a quick study of his social media accounts and official appearances to quench your thirst. Over the last few years, we’ve seen a number of Edm producers make the transition from underground movers and shakers to full fledged hit makers with a number of dance oriented singles hitting the pop charts and gaining steam.
In the post-“Lean On” world of dance infused pop, both The Chainsmokers and Flume have managed to drop some massive singles with songs like “Don’t Let Me Down” and “Never Be Like You,” respectively. Both acts recently sat down with The New York Times to spill the details on how they created their hits, and it made for a pretty interesting read.
In the interview, Andrew Taggart, one half of the successful electronic duo The Chainsmokers, explained the creation of their recent single “Don’t Let Me Down” with Daya.

As The Chainsmokers continue on with their dominance of mainstream music with chart-toppers like “Roses” and “Don’t Let Me Down,” the DJ duo have now teamed up with pop vocalist Halsey on what may be their biggest single yet. Though the new collaboration won’t be officially released until tomorrow, the full song has hit the internet for streaming and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.
“Closer” is probably The Chainsmokers’ most pop friendly song to date, featuring a catchy duet approach to the vocals between Halsey and Andrew Taggart. Emotive piano chords forge a sturdy backtrack alongside simple hip-hop style beats, leading into upbeat drops with memorable melodies and staggered rhythms.
The dance music influence on “Closer” is as subdued as we’ve heard from The Chainsmokers yet, and we expect their new song to completely take over the airwaves this summer.

The Chainsmokers have been enjoying a wave of success over the last year, dropping a slew of chart topping singles that have seen the duo cross over from Edm to pop, while holding down a constant schedule of sold out shows and headlining festival appearances. A new video clip has surfaced of the duo preparing for their performance at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas earlier this summer, detailing the behind the scenes events leading up to their show.
The clip depicts stunning footage of The Chainsmokers flying in a helicopter over Sin City, hanging with fellow DJ Tiësto backstage, riding golf carts around the festival grounds and more. It’s a rare look behind the scenes of the life of a DJ, and Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall are predictably entertaining to watch. Of course there’s plenty of footage of the two musicians on stage performing their familiar tunes for fans to obsess over.

Drake raps the now-famous underdog anthem: “Started from the bottom, now we’re here.” But Jewel, the brand-new Las Vegas nightclub where he took to the stage early Saturday, is starting at the top. “I’ll stay on this stage as long as you want me,” Drake said to Jewel’s virgin weekend crowd, before launching into a 10- song set. Following up on their crowd stopping performance at Coachella this year, Edm duo The Chainsmokers have returned to drop a new music video for their single “Don’t Let Me Down” featuring Daya.
Stylistically, the song is a continuation of the melodic, pop friendly style The Chainsmokers have been exploring for a while now, featuring a blend of catchy vocals, irresistible rhythms, and main-stage Trap elements.
The new video stars the familiar faces of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, as they embark on a back road drive in a convertible. The footage of the duo is interspersed with shots of vocalist Daya as she performs the lyrics to the track.
As the video progresses, Daya and a group of back up dancers make their way to block of the road, forcing Andrew and Alex to stop their car. The duo waste no time, jumping into a hydraulics performance that has...

The Chainsmokers dropped a new video for their collaboration with Tritonal on “Until You Were Gone” this week, rolling out a hilariously awkward visual accompaniment for the track that revolves around the DJ duo desperately trying to attract the attention of their fitness trainer.
Sonically, “Until You Were Gone” sees The Chainsmokers continuing the trend of branching out their musical influences and incorporating pop sensibilities into their energetic festival bangers. The song opens with a gentle chord progression joined by Emily Warren’s soulful singing. The verses feature radio friendly vocal hooks and stripped back musical elements, before building up to melodic house drops designed to pack a punch on the dance floor.
The music video for the duo’s latest single takes a lighthearted approach, seeing Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall acting at their silliest, relying on the humorous elements to tie the project together. With its uplifting vibes and energizing melodies,...

With a massive hit under their belts in Selfie, and an equally impressive follow-up in Kanye, I think it’s safe to say that it must be pretty good to be The Chainsmokers right about now. The New York City-based DJ duo, made up of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart, are quickly rising up the ladder of fame within the Edm scene and have been steadily making a name for themselves, having played at massive festivals like Ultra, Tomorrowland and TomorrowWorld.
So, how do the boys stay humble in the face of so much success? “We’re just doing what we like to do,” said Andrew (or Drew, as he prefers to be called) when I asked him that very question while at Montreal’s first annual Île Soniq music festival, where I had the chance to sit down for an exclusive interview with the DJs.

The Chainsmokers are best known as the duo behind viral sensation “#Selfie,” but with their remix of Guy Sebastian’s infectious “Like A Drum,” Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall show off their considerable remixing prowess. HitFix is excited to exclusively debut the remix below. While not as well known in the U.S. yet, Sebastian is the best-selling solo artist of all time in Australia with seven multi-platinum albums. Sebastian, who appeared on Lupe Fiasco’s “Battle Scars,” will release his first album in the U.S. later this year. He was the first winner of “Australian Idol” in 2003 and then went onto be a judge on Australia’s edition of “The X Factor” from 2010 to 2012. He is the only male artist in Australia to land six No. 1 singles. The Chainsmokers’ remix showcases Sebastian’s soulful voice by keeping the opening of the song close to the original before the...
