Rapper Desiigner was hit with a federal charge for allegedly masturbating on an international flight and claiming he exposed himself because he “didnt have (sex) in like a week.”
The 25-year-old rapper, whose real name is Sidney Royel Selby III, was charged with one misdemeanour count of indecent exposure over allegations he exposed himself multiple times starting about 60-90 minutes into a flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis on April 17, a criminal complaint alleges, reports nypost.com.
After a flight attendant spotted him exposing himself, he quickly covered up only to be caught masturbating about five minutes later by members of the flight crew.
He was again told “no” and covered himself up, the complaint stated.
Even after he was told he was going to be arrested, Selby was seen exposing himself for a third time, the feds said.

Desiigner has been charged with indecent exposure on an aircraft after he allegedly masturbated on a flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis on April 17th, according to The Associated Press.
The rapper — born Sidney Royel Selby III — repeatedly exposed himself to flight attendants, according to a criminal complaint. He faces up to 90 days in jail if convicted.
After being detained, Desiigner told authorities that he “didn’t really get much … cootie” while overseas and found one of the flight attendants attractive. He believed that by showing the flight attendant his “magic stick” she would be “encouraged” to engage with him.
In a social media post addressing his arrest, Desiigner said he was seeking treatment and canceling all upcoming tour dates and other obligations until further notice. He attributed his behavior on the flight to medicine he was given overseas. However, a criminal complaint says Desiigner did not appear under the influence...

It’s Robert Smith‘s birthday so, naturally, fans of the singer are sharing what is commonly believed to be one of his greatest moments.
The musician, who is the frontman of The Cure, turns 64 today (Friday 21 April).
In 2019, he became a viral sensation on Twitter thanks to his hilariously deadpan response to an excitable reporter.
Smith was in attendance at that year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where The Cure were being inducted alongside Stevie Nicks, Janet Jackson, Def Leppard, The Zombies, Radiohead and Roxy Music.
The singer approached a chipper interviewer at Brooklyn’s Barclays Centre, who said to him: “Congratulations, The Cure – Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees 2019! Are you as excited as I am?”
Smith, without missing a beat, replied: “Um, by the sounds of it, no.”
The interviewer, brushing off the response, laughed in response, and asked him: “Oh, no, what are we going to do?...

Conductor Simon Rattle has spoken out about the existential threat facing the UK’s classical music scene.
Rattle, who currently serves as the music director of the London Symphony Orchestra, is set to conduct at a protest concert this week that will object to planned cuts by the BBC and Arts Council England (Ace).
It was recently revealed that the BBC Singers, a longstanding vocal ensemble that Rattle describes as the “best in the world”, is facing abolition as part of wider predicted cuts across the BBC’s classical music ecosystem.
Speaking to The Times, Rattle said: “The BBC and Arts Council England, the two largest funders of musicians in the country, seem to be operating a pincer movement against our art form.”

A world expert on William Shakespeare has compared Taylor Swift to some of history’s greatest writers – including the Bard himself – and said she is a “real poet”.
Scholar Sir Jonathan Bate, a former Shakespeare professor at Warwick University, said he believed the popstar is more than “just high-class showbiz” and has a “literary sensibility” that was apparent from her debut album.
In a piece for The Sunday Times Magazine titled Why Taylor Swift is a literary giant, he wrote that he had “one of the best nights of [his] life” at one of Swift’s concerts.
“Listening to her lyrics, which most of the rapturous (mainly female) audience seemed to know by heart, I came away with confirmation of a thought I first had 15 years ago: this isn’t just high-class showbiz, Taylor Swift is a real poet,” he said.

Bob Saget is best remembered for his role as Danny Tanner on the popular TV sitcom Full House.
But what’s likely one of his final acting roles shows a different sort of full house. Saget appears in the Desiigner music video for the song “Bakin” as a chef who tries to give a different meaning to the song title, working a party house in the Hollywood Hills where parental guidance is definitely suggested.
Featuring an opening cameo by Snoop Dogg, who suggests that Desiigner “Get Bob on the job,” Saget is shown in the kitchen cooking some bacon and grabbing cash, with porn star Kendra Sunderland providing some color alongside him.
The song illustrates a wilder side of Saget that was known to friends and comedy clubgoers, but will likely surprise fans who know him only through his Full House character, Danny Tanner.

Bob, who passed away on Jan. 9 at the age of 65, is seen tossing bacon from a pair of tongs as he cooks the strips over a stove. He turns to the camera and says, "What's Bakin?" before the...

One of the last clips Bob Saget ever shot wasn’t as the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos, nor as Full House’s clean freak dad Danny Tanner, nor as narrating Ted Mosby in How I Met Your Mother, but as a chef cooking up bacon and catching racks of cash while standing beside half-naked pornstar Kendra Sunderland in a music video for, of all rappers, Desiigner.

Netflix is getting the party started.
In a new trailer for “The After Party,” real-life rapper Kyle, known for last summer’s hit song “iSpy,” vies for his big break with a record deal all before the sun rises.
The film, written and directed by Ian Edelman (“How To Make It in America”), follows Kyle’s character Owen as he accidentally becomes a viral sensation — but not for his beats.
After Wiz Khalifa (as himself) gives the aspiring artist advice and some low-grade weed, Owen has a bad reaction and begins to seize on-stage during a set. As is par for the course in the digital age, audience members take video of the incident and Owen becomes #Seezjahboy overnight.
“The After Party” — which features cameos from rappers French Montana, Pusha-t, Jadakiss, and Desiigner — culminates with grand soiree that Owen and his buddy/manager Jeff (Harrison Holzer) try crashing to jumpstart his career as a rapper,...

"Your rap career is not over! ... Tonight, the after party to end all after parties." Netflix has launched a trailer for an indie comedy titled The After Party, a film about an up-and-coming rapper who almost ruins his career when he pukes on Wiz Khalifa. His friend convinces him to take him to an after party where he'll have another shot at making it big if he can perform and impress the attendees. The story takes place during "one wild night", of course. The cast includes Kyle Harvey, Harrison Holzer, Shelley Hennig, Teyana Taylor, Jordan Rock, Amin Joseph, Andy Buckley, and Blair Underwood; featuring cameos by Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, DJ Khaled, Ski Mask the Slump God, Desiigner, Pusha T, Jadakiss, Tee Grizzley, Young M.A., and more. This looks funky and entertaining, but nothing that will make a real mark in the end. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Ian Edelman's The After Party,...

Sia, Diplo, and British artist Labrinth have dropped the first song from their collaborative project, called, naturally enough, LSD. The song is called “Genius” and bears sonic hallmarks of all three — listen to it below. The song came with very little information but it seems more than likely that there is more music to come from the trio.
The three bring a sterling pedigree to the project. Sia, of course, is an artist and hit songwriter/producer whose hits under her own name include “Cheap Thrills,” “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart” — the latter a collaboration with Diplo and The Weeknd. She recently moved from RCA to Atlantic Records and her debut outing for her new label was last year’s holiday-themed collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Greg Kurstin, “Everyday Is Christmas.”
Diplo’s breakthrough came with M.I.A.’s 2004 debut album “Arular,” which he largely co-produced, and burst into the mainstream with her 2007 hit “Paper Planes.
