- [Mr. Nakamura] graduated from Farrington High School and the University of Hawaii. A Korean War veteran, he served with a military intelligence unit. He worked in Hollywood during the 1950s in a career that spanned nearly ten years. He appeared in "Go For Broke", Westward, the Women", Blood Alley", "Unchained Melody", "Athena" and "Lafayette Escadrille". In 1961 he entered Federal Service and worked in Okinawa for over 32 years, retiring in 1993. [Upon his death at age 87, he was] survived by wife Koto, son Derek (Joyce), brothers Wilfred & George and sisters Mary Murakami (Charles) and Mabel Nakamura and several nieces and nephews. Private services were held in Okinawa.

Daniel Gerson, best known for co-writing Disney's "Big Hero 6" and Pixar's two "Monsters" films died February 6th, 2016 at his home in Los Angeles after battling brain cancer. He was 49 years old. A New York State native, Gerson grew up immersed in the arts and starring in musical theater performances at his high school. Gerson graduated with an English degree from Cornell University before receiving an MFA from New York University film school. After beginning his career as a staff writer on the NBC television sitcom "Something So Right," which ran 1996-1998, Gerson soon transitioned to feature film, co-writing 2001's "Monsters, Inc." with Andrew Stanton, as well as 2013's "Monsters University" with Dan Scanlon and Robert L. Baird. Baird and Gerson worked as writing partners for fifteen years, collaborating on "Big Hero 6," which won the Academy Award for animated feature in 2015. The pair were also at work on the upcoming Pixar sequel "Cars 3." Gerson was also a talented voice actor, voicing the characters of Needleman and Smitty in "Monsters, Inc." as well as Desk Sergeant Gerson in "Big Hero 6." Gerson is survived by his wife, Beau Stacom; his two children, Claire and Asher; his parents, Mary-Joan and Charles; and his sister, Jessica.- Stage director, writer, and film bit player Robert Dahdah was born to Lebanese parents on March 8, 1926 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dahdah moved as a child with his family to New York City and lived in Washington Heights. Robert served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Dahdah was the head of the Empathy Group in 1953 and directed plays at Washington Square Theater before becoming one of the key pioneering figures of the Off-Off Broadway theater movement at Caffe Cino in the 1960's. Among the notable plays that Robert directed are the smash hit "Dames at Sea," "The Bed," "Curley McDimple," "Clara Bow Loves Gary Cooper," and "Alias Jimmy Valentine." Moreover, Dahdah also appeared in a handful of movies in uncredited bit roles. He died at age 89 on February 6, 2016 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx.
- James Martin Pedersen was the actor who played Rocky Rococo and was in fact the whole face of the pizza brand as he starred not only in "MasterPizza Theatre" but also was in their commercials as well as in their logo. James Martin Pederse n was very well loved in Wisconsin and was by all accounts an icon of the state's culture. But sadly James passed away in 2016. He is survived by his spouse, Georgia Pollard; son, Jason (Kim Shelton); grandson, Colin James; Gershwin, his beloved Toller; and many, many friends and family. Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica; former wife, Janet Pedersen; sister, Denise Radke; brother-in-law, Dieter Radke; and his parents. James was the face and personality of Rocky Rococo Pizza for decades.
