Jackie Collins, the bestselling author who sourced the TV miniseries Hollywood Wives and Lucky Chances, died on Saturday following a six-and-a-half year battle with breast cancer. She was 77.
“It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful, dynamic and one-of-a-kind mother,” Collins’ family said in a statement to People. “She was a true inspiration, a trailblazer for women in fiction and a creative force.
