When Val, Rhonda and Earl flee the second graboid by climbing onto a rock, Val is wearing cowboy boots. When the camera cuts to the rock and Val climbs to the top, he's wearing leather workboots. After they wake up the next day and Val slides down the rock to see if the graboid is still there, he is again wearing cowboy boots.
The character Earl Bassett is listed in the credits as Earl Bass.
When Earl goes to where Rhonda found the pole-vaulting sticks, two of them are conveniently placed right next to the rock, but when Rhonda first took a stick, they were in a random place farther from the rock. Further, the poles grow in length from the time they are picked up by Earl until the long shot of them being used.
(At around 15 mins) when Earl & Val sit down for a beer, Val is initially sitting on a red upholstered armchair in the wide shot, but in the close up, Val is sitting on a gray leather chair.
When Val, Earl and Rhonda are on the rock the morning after they first discover the graboids, when Rhonda puts on her backpack before she gets the pipe to use as a pole to vault off the rock, it is empty, (flat). When she is shown from the back, leaning off the rock to pick up the pole, the backpack is full.
When Valentine and Earl are sucking out the septic tank they get covered in sludge. However the pump is sucking the liquid, so if there were any holes in the line, sludge would not spray out, rather air would be sucked in.
Neither Burt nor Heather were wearing any sort of hearing protection during their shootout in the basement. They would be completely deaf at that point.
When they are on the roof talking on the CB radio, they manage to use a base station unit without a power cord connection. Many CB radio bases are powered by batteries. Apparently, this is one of them. Even if that particular model was designed to be AC-powered, Walter could later have had it customized for DC power.
Many times during the movie someone will make a noise close to the ground and nothing tries to eat them. However, there are only four of the creatures and it is a big valley. Just because someone is making noise does not mean a creature will immediately appear and try to eat them. They may be off eating Miguel's cattle or in some other location in the valley too far to get there in time.
When Rhonda is running into the store from the Graboid (after losing her pants), her ankles have no visible cuts, but when she is in there, her ankles have multiple blood trails. However, if cuts aren't deep and don't damage any significant blood vessel, it can take a little while until blood comes out. If the cuts were mostly caused by taking off the pants, it's plausible that they weren't visible for the next 15 seconds that passed until Rhonda ran inside.
Water that falls in the bulldozer scoop disappears later. This is because Val lowers the scoop right after Rhonda climbs out of it (the scoop is seen in its lowered state when bulldozer starts moving again) and all the water gets out. In any case, the amount of water that entered the scoop was very small to begin with.
When old Fred is tending his garden, there is a blue car parked between the garden and his shack. Later, when Val and Earl arrive and look for Fred, the car is gone. However, graboids are notorious for pulling cars under the ground, so this disappearance should not come as a surprise.
When the horse is supposedly being wrestled to the ground by one of the creatures, a wire which keeps the horse on the ground is visible at the upper left of the screen.
When the guys whip the truck around in a 180 degree turn to
return to the guy on the power pole, you can see the roofs of a housing development on the horizon, as opposed to being in the "middle of nowhere."
Additionally, when Val and Earl stop and get out of the truck, you can see cars moving along a highway in the distance behind them.

During the "Wrong Rec Room" scene, right after Burt fires the elephant gun for the second time, a blue cabinet door behind him opens about six inches and closes without being touched.
When Burt and Heather are in their basement looking out the window for the Graboid, before it breaks through their wall, you can see Cedar / Pine trees outside their windows. In the next shot when it shows an outside view of their house, you can see they are on a hill with no trees around. There are no cedar / mountainous trees on their property or in the valley. Clearly shows the scene was filmed elsewhere / on a sound stage.
When Earl, Val and Rhonda are stranded on the boulder, a time-lapse shows day turning to night, and the stars become visible as the sky darkens. However, the stars are frozen in place. The time-lapse should show the sky turning significantly during the time elapsed. Additional proof that this was not time-lapse is that everyone is still in the same position at night as they were in the daylight. Either there was a camera lens adjustment, or the change was done during post-production.
At 54:48 the scissors on the shelf are clearly being held down with tape for the following scene. Practice good safety on set.
At the opening with Earl and Val. Val wakes Earl and they share a cigarette. Earl lights Vals cigarette and then his own. Val cigarette is not lit as you can not see any smoke coming from it or his exhale.
When the remaining cast are on the bulldozer, near the end of the movie, they pull up beside Burt and Heather's house and one of the crew members is visible beside them, trying to hide.
When the tractor being used as a diversion tips over, the cable pulling it is visible, and flicks up a cloud of dust.
The driver of Rhonda's pickup truck is visible behind Val when they escape from the rocks in the desert.
When Earl, Rhonda and Van are pole vaulting between rocks, suspending cable(s) can sometimes be seen during the distant shot(s).
At exactly 33:28 on the DVD some kind of cue marker flashes quickly on the lower right of the screen.
Near the end of the movie when Earl and Valentine are trying to get back to the rocky outcrop after the explosion, the graboid pops up where Burt and Heather could've easily shot it. Instead they shoot in the air and try to scare it off.
Most likely, their ingrained firearms discipline prevented them from firing when people were down range.

During the final act of the movie, numerous characters being chased by graboids stop in place and hold still, and the graboids are unable to locate them. Earlier, Nestor climbed onto a tire, and was immediately located by the graboid and killed.
During the opening credits, after Bacon says, "Well, when I'm your age, I guess I'll forget what I eat, too," he walks around the tailgate of the truck and through a mic boom's shadow.

Rhonda explains that the Graboids predate the fossil record. This is impossible as the fossil record goes as far back as cyanobacteria 3.5 billion years old. They could be outside the fossil record, but not predate it.
Earl trips in what he calls a prairie dog burrow. Prairie dogs are not found in Nevada.
