The problem with the documentary is that you don't really understand anything about the virus, how it started or what mistakes people did. The virus is not really the story as much as a small collection of interviews and letters that all seem to be about daily life in that period of time. The recordings are nice and the photos are nice. Besides that it's extremely lacking on details you can find in most current articles.
It's good but it's a big missed opportunity to actually make a documentary about the virus itself and present it in a more informative light while talking about politics too. This is documentary will feel hollow to most intellectual viewers, but still a fun watch for sure.
