- TriviaDuring the scene with Archie planning to defend his coming grandson if anyone thrusts any anti-Polish remarks toward him, Carroll O'Connor pulled a prank on Rob Reiner. After Mike drops his head down, reacting to Archie's hypocritical rant on people being prejudice toward minorities, O'Connor ad-libbed the line "What's the matter, my fly open?", taking Reiner by surprise, struggling to keep a straight face.
- GoofsArchie brings up when he and Edith's cat Arthur had kittens, and they refer to Arthur as "she" and "her." However, in previous episodes, Arthur was always referred to as a male cat. Archie even once said "I hated his fish-eatin' guts."
- Quotes
Archie Bunker: [Archie tells Mike he won't be calling his new grandson a Polack] I ain't gonna hurt his little feelings with things like that. Let me tell you somethin'. Anybody that makes a Polack crack to my grandson gets a shot in the mush from me. I hate people that are always callin' other people names. Now, your Irish Micks, your Irish Micks are very big on that, with all their jokes, see. And the Mafia, now the Mafia, they're the ones that started the Polack jokes to take the heat off-a the Dagos. So I don't want no more of your racial jokes around here, because I can't stand people who are always knockin' minor-orities.

There is more laughs in this one than in most post 5th season episodes. Archie and Mike argue over Polish jokes, Gloria does a funny dance with a pillow to show what she will look like in her ninth month. Francine Beers appears for the only time as Sybil Gooley, who makes a prediction on what sex the baby will be.
