- Tuvok: I don't recognize this
- [holodeck]
- Tuvok: program.
- Tom Paris: I do. He's wearing a Nazi uniform. We're on Earth during the second world war.
- Seven of Nine: Nazi?
- Tom Paris: Totalitarian fanatics bent on world conquest; the Borg of their day. No offense.
- Seven of Nine: None taken.
- Hirogen SS Officer: Sing.
- Seven of Nine: I will not.
- Hirogen SS Officer: Sing...
- [draws his pistol and points it at Seven]
- Hirogen SS Officer: ...or you will die.
- Seven of Nine: Then I'll die.
- Tuvok: Seven, you're a valued member of this crew. The logical response would be to grant his request.
- Seven of Nine: Logic is irrelevant.
- Seven of Nine: [to Hirogen SS Officer] One day the Borg will assimilate your species, despite your arrogance. When that moment arrives, remember me.
- Tom Paris: [on Brigitte's alias Torres's "pregnancy"] So, what do you think? Boy or a girl?
- Seven of Nine: It's a holographic projection.
- B'Elanna Torres: Unfortunately it's a very good projection. I feel twenty kilos heavier. It even kicks!
- Chakotay: [as Captain Miller] You're a gung-ho kinda gal, aren't you?
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: Does that bother you?
- Chakotay: Nope. Just not used to it, that's all. The girls back home are a little different.
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: I guess when it comes to my people's safety, this girl tends to get a little... 'gung-ho'!
- Chakotay: Nothing to apologize for; I'm the same way with my men. There's not a day goes by when I don't think to myself, I've gotta get them back safely - even if I die trying.
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: I know the feeling.
- Neelix: [approaching two Klingons sitting and eating by a fire] Pardon me, gentlemen, I wonder if I might have a word with you.
- [no reaction]
- The Doctor: They're Klingons, not kittens.
- [Neelix steps up, snatches a drumstick out of a Klingon's hand and flings it brutally into the fire]
- Neelix: You will listen!
- [last lines]
- [Janeway presents the remaining Hirogen with a data core containing the holo-technology]
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: Accept this... trophy. You can use it to create a new future for your people. At the very least, you can hang it on your bulkhead.
- Tom Paris: Keep it movin', keep it movin', get the lead outta your pants!
- Seven of Nine: Mid-twentieth-century American slang?
- Tom Paris: You got a problem with that, sister?
- Seven of Nine: You're enjoying this simulation! I find that peculiar, given the circumstances.
- Tom Paris: Loosen up, baby doll, the war is almost over.
- Klingon Hologram: Lead the attack, or die here, by my hand.
- The Doctor: [to Neelix] You heard him. Don't argue with the man; run along. I'll re-attach any severed limbs; just don't misplace them.
- Alpha Hirogen: I'm trying to create a future for my people.
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: Future?
- Alpha Hirogen: I don't expect you to understand. You are prey.
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: You underestimate us.
- Alpha Hirogen: [pondering on this] Yes - perhaps I do.
- Alpha Hirogen: You are a resilient species. I admire your cunning.
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: Let's end this. I'll call a cease-fire, and we can try to contain the damage. I want my ship back, but in return, I will give you what you need to create the holodeck technology. It would be 'cunning' for you to agree.
- [the Klingons are waking up from their nap]
- Neelix: Uh-oh. What should we do?
- The Doctor: Not having a cure for Klingon hangovers, I couldn't tell you.
- German SS Officer: But the Kommandant is a fool. He doesn't understand. He's never embraced the Fuhrer, or his vision. One does not cooperate with decadent forms of life. One hunts them down and eliminates them. The Kommandant speaks of civilization. The ancient Romans were civilized, the Jews are civilized; but in all its moral decay, Rome fell to the spears of our ancestors, as the Jews are falling now. Look at our destiny! The field of red, the purity of German blood - a blazing white circle of the sun that sanctified that blood. No one can deny us, no power on Earth or beyond, not the Christian savior, not the god of the Jews! We are driven by the very force that gives life to the universe itself. We must countermand the Kommandant's orders, stay and fight! We must be faithful to who we are.
- ['Klingon' Neelix shouts at Captain Miller in Klingon]
- Chakotay: [as Captain Miller] I guess my French is a little rusty.
- German SS Officer: You deceived me.
- B'Elanna Torres: Really?
- German SS Officer: I should have seen through your flirtations.
- B'Elanna Torres: If you say so.
- German SS Officer: The thought of you carrying my child disgusts me.
- B'Elanna Torres: You're not the only one.
- [the Hirogen medic has ordered the Doctor to treat the minor burns of another Hirogen instead of attending to a severely injured Human]
- The Doctor: What kind of physician are you? The first rule of triage states that critical injuries take priority!
- Hirogen Medic: Your rules. Not mine.
- [deactivates the Doctor]
- [Lt. Davis is holding Kim at gunpoint, doubting the latter's claim to be an American civilian]
- Tom Paris: [as Davis] Look, I don't have time for 20 Questions. You say you're an American? All right, then. If Betty Grable came around that corner, what part of her would you be staring at?
- [Kim thinks hard, but doesn't come up with an answer]
- Tom Paris: [cocking his gun] Sorry. Time's up.
- Harry Kim: Her legs! I-I'd be staring at her legs!
- [after a moment's hesitation, Davis smiles]
- Tom Paris: Bullseye - lucky for you.
- Chakotay: [as Captain Miller] You'll lead us into the compound, but I'm coming with you.
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: I work better alone.
- Chakotay: This isn't a request, it's an order.
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: Order? Do I look like I'm wearing one of your uniforms?
