Singers Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith shared a sweet moment over the weekend at Coachella. Bieber and Smith have maintained a friendship since the two collaborated on Bieber’s song “Never Say Never” as teenagers.
Smith, 25, was captured on video hugging Bieber, 30, from behind in a VIP area at the music festival. Bieber then kissed Smith on the cheek before the two engaged in conversation. Since they collaborated in 2010, when Bieber was 16 and Smith was 11, they have maintained a close friendship. “Never Say Never” was featured as the theme song for Smith’s movie The Karate Kid, starring martial artist Jackie Chan.
Bieber’s wife, Hailey Bieber, was spotted at Coachella with him. The couple was seen in the crowd during Lana Del Rey‘s set on opening night. Recently, rumors that the Biebers are going through a divorce have circulated five years after they tied the knot in 2018. The couple denied these claims.

Cobra Kai Season 6 is delayed due to the writer’s strike, but in the meantime, Sony is looking to reboot the Karate Kid franchise in a surprising way. Last year, it was revealed that Sony set aside a date on their scheduled releases for a new Karate Kid film, set for June 2024. This came after the fifth season of Cobra Kai had already dropped on Netflix. Details have slowly been revealed — largely due to who isn’t involved with the new movie. Both Ralph Macchio and Cobra Kai creator Jon Hurwitz have stated that they haven’t been contacted to participate in the upcoming movie, nor do they even know what it is.
Recently, it was reported that Jackie Chan, who starred in the 2010 remake, was in talks to return to his role as Mr. Han in this film, which would make it a sequel to that film. Now, there...

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Tuesday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best show currently on TV?” can be found at the end of this post.)
This week’s question: What’s the best modern show set in the ’80s? (To qualify, the show must have aired sometime 2000-present.)
Alan Sepinwall (@sepinwall), Uproxx
Recency bias would suggest “Halt and Catch Fire,” even though its strongest season, this last one, took place in the 1990s, or “Stranger Things,” which is an extremely fun show but not an all-timer. That leaves two clear-cut favorites: “Freaks and Geeks,” Paul Feig and Judd Apatow’s ode to high school outcasts; and FX’s Cold War spy thriller “The Americans.” The former is one of the great one-season wonders, one of the best shows ever made about teenagers, and — between Feig,...

We may never see Bad Boys 3 on the big screen, but the franchise might just continue on the small screen — with a familiar face attached.
A Bad Boys TV spinoff series is currently in development, according to our sister site Deadline, that centers on Gabrielle Union’s Bad Boys II character, with Union attached to reprise her role. The Blacklist writers Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier will pen the untitled pilot, which is currently being pitched to networks; original film producer Jerry Bruckheimer is onboard as an executive producer here as well.

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Jackie Chan in a serious acting role, which is why “The Foreigner” could be a game-changer. The multi-hyphenate actor, martial artist, director and singer has had success with children’s franchise hits “Kung Fu Panda” and “The Karate Kid,” and his comedy chops are well known to “Rush Hour” fans. Now, audiences get a different side of him in “The Foreigner,” a slick revenge thriller which released its official trailer today.

Jackie Chan last found success in Hollywood by mentoring young Jaden Smith in a remake of the surprisingly decent The Karate Kid. That was more than six years ago. Since then, Chan has rarely been seen in North American theaters. Most recently, historical action epic Dragon Blade and buddy comedy Skiptrace both received token releases here; each has its own problems and neither represents Chan at his finest. Railroad Tigers sees Chan reuniting with director Ding Sheng for an action picture that really moves. That's a weak but true statement; for a late-period Chan movie, Railroad Tigers features a series of action sequences that sometimes defy the laws of physics but are mostly fun to watch unfold. Chan and Sheng began their collaboration with Little...

Meyers invited Henson on to compete in the “Actathalon,” a “multi-stage theatrical obstacle course to measure and test an actor’s commitment to the craft of acting.” Some of the stages includes The Devil’s Desk, in which Henson must say a line into a phone and then clear off a desk in rage; The Slide of Tears, in which she takes a phone call, hear devastating news and slide down the wall crying; the Fellini Crusher, where she shows her range by performing a scene in the distinct dramatic style of Federico Fellini’s films. Certain last names have earned such respect and reverence in the entertainment industry that being born into one of these families practically ensures success should they decide to pursue a career in entertainment. Some families, like the Coppolas, span generations and involve a complex web of well-connected cousins and siblings. Others, like the Smiths, represent the new Hollywood family, with their social-media famous kids appealing to the children of their parents’ fans.

If you've ever fantasized about James Corden wearing nothing but a whipped cream bikini, you're in luck.
For the Late Late Show's post-Super Bowl episode Sunday night, the host got actors Zac Efron, Anna Kendrick and Adam DeVine to help him recreate the best cinematic tributes to athleticism in a skit called "History of Sports Movies in 7 Minutes" – including Ali Larter's sweet seduction scene from 1999's Varsity Blues.
"Uh ... we cut this bit," Efron, 28, said as Corden, 37, sauntered in front of the green screen in a blonde wig (and not much else).

Time takes its toll on all of us … even Jackie
Jackie Chan is arguably one of the most important action /martial arts stars to ever grace our screens. As happens to us all … time takes it’s toll and sadly over the years the quality of his films has degraded.
But whilst the quality of his output my have decreased , it’s not difficult to spot moments of brilliance in even his most recent movies (i.e final fight scene in Chinese Zodiac ).
2016 is a very busy year for Jackie Chan
This year is going to be a very busy one of Jackie Chan, soon we will see the release of Skiptrace followed by another 3 confirmed releases (Railroad Tigers, The Foreigner, Kung Fu Yoga) and even more films which have either been announced or are currently in production (Rush Hour 4, The Karate Kid 2, Shanghai Noon Sequel).

According to the IMDb, another Men in Black film is already in the works, with Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) wielding the pen. The catch? Will Smith has said he’s finished with the franchise. The star, whose turn as NYPD-maverick-turned-galactic-peacekeeper Agent J helped cement his status as the King of July Fourth, feels that three Mib movies is enough for him. And it’s difficult to argue with that — trilogies have a poetic symmetry that’s lacking in series like, say, the Rocky films. That’s particularly true here, since 2012’s Men in Black 3 did such a deft job providing full-circle closure to the relationship between J and his mentor, Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones).
Yet the producers are going ahead with a four-peat. So, if Smith doesn’t play J, who does? Or does J have to show up at all?
There have been some rumors floating around both possibilities.

The year that gave us Gremlins, Ghostbusters and The Temple Of Doom also gave us these 20 underappreciated movies...
It's been said that 1984 was a vintage year for movies, and looking back, it's easy to see why. The likes of Ghostbusters and Gremlins served up comedy, action and the macabre in equal measure. James Cameron's The Terminator cemented Arnold Schwarzenegger's star status and gave us one of the greatest sci-fi action movies of the decade.
This was also the year where the Coen brothers made their screen debut with the stunning thriller Blood Simple, and when the Zucker brothers followed up Airplane! with the equally hilarious Top Secret! And we still haven't even mentioned Beverly Hills Cop, This Is Spinal Tap, The Karate Kid, Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom and the unexpectedly successful romantic comedy, Splash. Back in October came news that Warner Bros. Pictures and their new digital production branch Blue Ribbon Content were developing a live-action web series based on the DC Comics title "Static Shock".
In the comics, Static (aka Virgil Ovid Hawkins) is a high school student who gains a variety of electromagnetic powers and becomes a costumed crusader against crime. At the time of the report, it was suggested that "After Earth" and "The Karate Kid" star Jaden Smith was likely to take the role.
"The Walking Dead" actor Tyler James Williams has seemingly confirmed that decision in a recent interview with Flicks and the City. Williams was discussing the lack of young black superheroes in an interview when someone in the crowd suggested Static Shock and Spider-Man.
Williams said: "I don't know...What you're talking about. But yeah no, it's great to see Static Shock is happening with Jaden." There's...

It's hard to believe but it's been 30 years since we spent Saturday detention with a princess, a criminal, a basket case, a jock and a brain.
The Breakfast Club first premiered in theaters in 1985 and Et was on the set of the John Hughes flick, years before it became the American teen classic it is today.

The film, about five high schoolers gathered on Saturday for a detention session, starred Judd Nelson (John Bender), Emilio Estevez (Andrew Clark), Anthony Michael Hall (Brian Johnson), Ally Sheedy (Allison Reynolds), and Molly Ringwald (Claire Standish), who admitted to Et in 1985 that she didn't feel right for the part of the princess because she was so different from her.
"Am I pretty enough to do this [role]?" Ringwald said. "That was my biggest worry and I'm not what you would call the conventional beauty, at least I don't feel that way. But you know...
