Less than 72 hours before the premiere of Lifetime’s two-part docuseries “Where Is Wendy Williams?,” the former talk show host’s team announced that she has been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (Ftd), the same disease that Bruce Willis has. Amid the news of Williams’ health crisis — which is immediately evident on the show— this docuseries feels invasive at best and predatory at worst.
“Where Is Wendy Williams?” is designed as a follow-up to her 2021 documentary “Wendy Williams: What A Mess,” which dove into Williams’ public divorce, apparent mental health crisis and other public mishaps. Fans of “The Wendy Williams Experience” and “The Wendy Williams Show” will get to see Wendy Williams as her own Hot Topic in the highly anticipated documentary “Where is Wendy Williams?” airing Saturday, February 24 and Sunday, February 25 on Lifetime despite legal requests to halt the airing.
Earlier this week, Appellate Justice Peter Moulton granted Lifetime the right to air its documentary, stating it would be “impermissible prior restraint on speech that violates the First Amendment of the Constitution” after Sabrina Morrissey, “acting in her capacity as Temporary Guardian of W.W.H. [Wendy Williams Hunter]” filed a lawsuit in New York Supreme Court seeking injunctive relief, Deadline reported.
Following the court’s decision, Williams issued a statement about her health struggles, including the recent announcement that she had been diagnosed with Aphasia and Frontotemporal Dementia (Ftd), the same form of dementia Bruce Willis had been diagnosed with.

It seems that everyone, even talk show hosts like Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin, wants to be in an audience at a talk show for the experience.
The View recently did a segment on Wendy Williams and how she seems to be not interacting with her family because of the guardianship she has been placed under.
During a follow-up after that show on the podcast The View: Behind the Table, Brian Teta, The View’s executive producer, brought up Wendy Williams and the statement about her health that was released after their taped interview with her niece.
Sara Haines was on hand during the podcast to react to Wendy’s diagnosis of primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, which Today also reported on.
During this segment, Sara shared a time she and Sunny Hostin went to a live taping of The Wendy Williams Show early in their tenure as co-hosts on The View.

Two days before a major documentary chronicling Wendy Williams’ deteriorating mental state is scheduled to premiere on Lifetime, the beleaguered former talk show host’s court-appointed caregiver filed a lawsuit against Lifetime parent company A+E Networks.
Sabrina Morrissey filed the sealed lawsuit for injunctive relief on Thursday in New York County Supreme Court. The suit says that Morrissey — whose identity as the individual appointed by the court in 2022 to look after Williams had been unknown publicly and to Williams’ family — is “acting in her capacity as Temporary Guardian.”
The complaint, which sought a temporary restraining order, names A+E Networks, the parent company of Lifetime, and Entertainment One Reality Productions, which produced the four-and-a-half-hour documentary set to air over two nights, this coming Saturday and Sunday.

Wendy Williams, the one-time host of her popular, Daytime Emmy-nominated namesake talk show, has been diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. While this is terrible news – especially to her legion of fans – one can only hope that it will bring even more attention to the disease, which gained much more attention once it was revealed that Bruce Willis has been going through similar circumstances.
A statement on Wendy Williams’ condition (via The Hollywood Reporter) reads: “As Wendy’s fans are aware, in the past she has been open with the public about her medical struggles with Graves’ Disease and Lymphedema as well as other significant challenges related to her health…Over the past few years, questions have been raised at times about Wendy’s ability to process information and many have speculated about Wendy’s condition, particularly when she began to lose words, act erratically at times and have difficulty understanding financial transactions.

In a grim update on Wendy Williams, reps for the former talk show host revealed that she’s been officially diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.
Aphasia is a condition that affects language and communication abilities. Frontotemporal dementia is aprogressive disorder impacting behavior and cognitive functions.
“Wendy would not have received confirmation of these diagnoses were it not for the diligence of her current care team, who she chose, and the extraordinary work of the specialists at Weill Cornell Medicine,” according to a press release from Williams’ team. “Receiving a diagnosis has enabled Wendy to receive the medical care she requires.”

It’s been two years since The Wendy Williams Show officially wrapped its run. The syndicated series aired its final show — without host Wendy Williams, who has been out of commission with various health issues for months, on June 17, 2022. Wendy guest host Sherri Shepherd took over the time slot with a new talk show, simply titled Sherri. Ever since the talk show ended, Williams has become a bit of a recluse due to ongoing health conditions, and her time away from the screen is set to be explored in Lifetime’s upcoming two-part documentary. Here are some Wendy Williams Show moments from the show’s 13-year run we still can’t get over. Many were offensive, some were moving, and one was somehow both frightening and funny — if we have the, ahem, liberty to say so. With new hosts Nina Parker and Kevin Fredericks (Tiffany Haddish previously hosted the series with fellow comedian Deon Cole), the weekend movie programming will kick off with a double-feature selection starting with “Black Panther” starring Chadwick Boseman, and followed by “King Richard” starring Will Smith.
Filmed at “The Gathering Spot” in Los Angeles’ West Adams neighborhood, film fans can join Parker and Fredericks in the audience each week where they’ll be joined by surprise guests and conversations “about film, culture and everything in between,” says TBS. Future episodes will spotlight acclaimed dramas “21 Bridges” and “Creed 2;” high-octane adventures “Tenet,” “White House Down,” “Angel Has Fallen,” and “Déjà Vu; and feel-good comedies “Girls Trip,” “Ride Along 2,” and “Just Wright.”

Destiny’s Child is one of the biggest, most influential R&b-pop girl groups of all time.
The legendary troupe first debuted in the late ‘90s, delivering hits like “No, No, No,” “Bills, Bills, Bills” and “Say My Name” that sent them skyrocketing to superstardom in the music industry.
Throughout the years, the group experienced several member lineup shake-ups, before ultimately landing on their most well-known iteration, dubbed “DC3.” Together, the trio would release fun, empowering smashes like “Survivor,” “Bootylicious” and “Independent Woman Pt. 1.”
Since their last studio album in the mid ‘00s, Destiny Fulfilled, all of the members have gone on to embark on solo ventures expanding beyond music into acting, writing, presenting, and appearing as judges on popular reality TV shows.

Pamela Anderson loves love. Throughout the years, the "Baywatch" star and former Playboy model has romanced her fair share of suitors and tied the knot with five men - including repeat marriages with Rick Salomon. "I'm a hopeless romantic and I do believe in [love] . . . I love traditional marriage," Anderson once said on "The Wendy Williams Show" in 2016.
Anderson's most notable relationship was with Tommy Lee, her first husband, with whom she shares her two sons Brandon, 27, and Dylan, 25. Anderson and Lee's relationship came back into the spotlight in 2022 as the subject of Hulu's "Pam & Tommy" series, which focused on their infamous leaked sex tape. Anderson denounced the show for not consulting her prior, however, she did tell her side of the story in her candid 2023 Netflix documentary, "Pamela, a Love Story" - part of which revisits her and Lee's relationship and their tumultuous split.
