Stephen Palgon’s "Fantasyland," a documentary about fantasy sports players based on the book by Sam Walker, premieres Friday on SnagFilms.com.
"Fantasyland" follows Jed Latkin, an amateur fantasy baseball fan who earns the chance to compete in an expert league called Tout Wars during the 2008 baseball season.
Financed and produced by James D. Stern's Endgame Entertainment, the film was produced with McG's Wonderland Sound & Vision and John Limotte and Doug Bernheim's Sound Pictures.
SnagFilms will feature the film on its flagship site and throughout its distribution network and will introduce fantasy-centered content across all platforms.
"'Fantasyland' has a built-in audience of 30 million fantasy sports players, other fantasy and sports enthusiasts as well as people intrigued by the exciting, humorous, sometimes scary and surprising lengths to which otherwise normal people will go just to win a mere contest of pride," Stern said.
