The Spider-Man family of media is synonymous with some of the best actors in the business. The movies are iconic thanks to the stars who bring the stories to life, and the cartoons are legendary for some of the best line deliveries you’ll ever hear. However, unlike properties such as Batman, no one actor has truly embodied the wall-crawler or his amazing friends (or deadly enemies). So, Insomniac Games had their work cut out for them when it came time to cast for Marvel’s Spider-Man.
To say Insomniac knocked it out of the park with their selected voices would be an understatement, so of course they were primed to return for subsequent entries, including Spider-Man 2. The game is full of returning characters, many of whom are voiced by the same actors, but the main selling point are all the new faces. During the game, players will get...

The 5th Wave was another dystopian feature that stars Chloe Grace Moretz as Cassie Sullivan, an Ohio teenager who’s dealing with the worldwide crisis of alien attacks that’s causing earthquakes, and tsunamis. The young girl is eager to reunite with brother Sam and forms an alliance with the mysterious Evan Walker, both of which must fight for survival during the fifth assault from invaders. Given how hot the young adult adaptations were at the time thanks to The Hunger Games and Twilight, The 5th Wave sounded poised for box office success; however, the Chole Grace Moretz vehicle was hit with

Following the giant success of The Twilight franchise, Young Adult novels were all the rage in Hollywood at the time. The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, The 5th Wave, The Host, and Darkest Minds are just some of the novels that were turned into feature films. However, the YA craze didn’t last for long and Allegiant is one of the prime reasons for that. Originally, the Divergent series was scheduled to have four films, with the final movie reportedly titled Ascendant, based on the latter half of Allegiant. The final film was scheduled to be released on March 24, 2017;

When we think of "elders", we usually think of our grandparents or grand-uncles, or even that nice lady who works in a grocery store and always talks to you and asks you about your life whenever you stop by. This is normal. However, shady legal guardian Marla Grayson in I Care a Lot, filmmaker J Blakeson's latest film (after The Disappearance of Alice Creed and The 5th Wave), only thinks of them as a constant flood of cash. Blakeson's dark comedy thriller is a chaotic mix of genres, a crazy rollercoaster ride, and it certainly saves itself with a stellar cast and a storyline that is interesting enough to keep us invested right up until the end. Marla Grayson, played by Rosamund Pike, likes to say that she cares a lot. And in the true meaning of this sentence, the woman does care, just not about what people think.

"I don't lose. I won't lose. I'm never letting you go." Netflix has revealed an official trailer for I Care a Lot, a sneaky crime film dark comedy starring Rosamund Pike. This is the new film from director J Blakeson (of The Disappearance of Alice Creed and The 5th Wave) and it premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year to mostly positive reviews. Pike stars as a crooked, spineless legal guardian who drains the savings of her elderly wards. But she meets her match when an elderly woman she tries to swindle turns out to be more than she first appears. This is one of those films that is about a horrible person, but follows them as the protagonist just to show us how depraved they can be. The cast includes Peter Dinklage, Eiza González, Chris Messina, Macon Blair, Alicia Witt, Damian Young, with Isiah Whitlock Jr. and Dianne Wiest.

“I Care a Lot” is a sleekly unnerving thriller. Rosamund Pike, in killer suits and a bob so precise it looks like a blonde helmet sliced with a laser, plays Marla Grayson, a conservator who’s really a con artist. She’ll stand up in court, radiating a beam of articulate compassion, and argue that a senior citizen can no longer look after him or herself and should therefore be placed under Marla’s care. She then becomes their guardian — and sticks them in a rest home, so that she can slowly but surely suck away their assets. She’s the film’s protagonist, but she’s no mere grifter. She’s a sociopath, a predator who will toss someone’s life into the trash with a duplicitous grin of pride.
Because here’s the real crime: Some of the wards Marla takes under her wing are still perfectly capable of taking care of themselves.

The plot will follow a down-on-her-luck woman who searches the streets of London for the rescue dog that saved her life.
Spicer’s memoir charts how she was a middle aged woman trying to steer some order into a life that was going off the rails until a shabby rescue dog saved her from herself. When the dog disappeared she beat the streets of London in search of the pet. Along the way, she made allies including psychics, bloggers and mysterious midnight joggers.

Tony Revolori is best known for his role as Zero Moustafa in Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel and since then he has been in numerous films including Dope, The 5th Wave and Table 19. He became part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2017 when he stepped into the role of Flash Thompson, Peter Parker’s rival, in Spider-Man: Homecoming and he reprises the character in Spider-Man: Far From Home (which opens in theaters today).
As a real-life comic book fan (he is definitely not a bandwagoner), Revolori knows the ins and outs of Spider-Man lore. That said, he knows that Flash is traditionally portrayed by a white, broad-shouldered type that is cut from the same high school bully cloth as nearly every character Will Zabka played in the ’80s. After last weekend saw no new wide releases hit theaters, resulting in the worst weekend of the year so far, this weekend offers up three new wide debuts led by Sony Animation and Marvel's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse alongside Clint Eastwood's The Mule and Universal's young adult adaptation Mortal Engines. Additionally, Fox is re-releasing Deadpool 2 in a PG-13-rated version with all-new footage while Annapurna will look for If Beale Street Could Talk to top the charts based on per theater average as it begins its run this weekend. Looking to top the weekend is Sony Animation's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, a brand new take on Marvel's webslinger, a character that has already generated over $1.9 billion domestically and over $4.8 billion worldwide for Sony from six previous films. This, of course, is the first time he's been featured in an animated theatrical release and that makes forecasting a bit more difficult.

MaryAnn’s quick take… Almost hilariously terrible: absurd plot machinations, dubious politics, not a single character to care about. And it doesn’t even give good disaster porn. I’m “biast” (pro): big science fiction fan
I’m “biast” (con): not a fan of what Hollywood often does with sci fi

Annabelle: Creation is one of 2017’s scariest films!
Variety reports: “Annabelle: Creation,” which conjured $35 million in its opening to dominate an otherwise lackluster frame last weekend, will wind up the weekend with about $64 million in its first 10 days. The film is the fourth in New Line’s highly profitable “Conjuring” universe and should see the combined worldwide grosses hit the $1 billion mark this weekend, thanks to 2013’s “The Conjuring,” 2014’s “Annabelle,” 2016’s “The Conjuring 2,” and “Annabelle: Creation.” Next up is “The Nun,” starring Taissa Farmiga and Demian Bichir and due out July 13.
In his review, Michael Haffner says “it proudly stands next to The Conjuring films as delivering real scares. What helps with this is making the audience afraid of not just the doll, but of what other being is haunting the house as well as the always hidden mother. It’s a terrifying trifecta that fits perfectly into the ominous surroundings.

Recently, CBS put out a news article on their website revealing that we’re about to see a new female agent join the NCIS crew for the upcoming season 15. It turns out that the show has decided to hire actress Maria Bello to portray an NCIS agent that was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army and served two tours in Afghanistan. Their article didn’t reveal the character’s name. So, I guess we’ll have to wait until later on or until she finally arrives on the show to get that intel. Adding to the character’s description, they said, “After joining NCIS, the character built her reputation as the agency's premier forensic psychologist. Unlike the other agents, she can second-guess and challenge Gibbs. So, there will be friction but also mutual respect. She is a positive force, mischievous and at times, acerbic. They say she will...
